Congratulations Jenn! I had a similar experience/realization recently. Now I'm content with the pens in my collection and I can sit back and enjoy watching everyone else search for their perfect pen.
Yes! I never thought I would feel so content with my little collection, but I’m so ready to sit relax and rejoice with everyone else’s findings. Now inks is another story, but they’re less expensive (sometimes) so it’s ok 😉
Hi Jenn! I only just saw this vid but felt like commenting. I felt something very similar to what your describing. When I got my Wancher Dream Pen True Urushi, I felt for the first time a sense of completeness with regards my collection. It was quite emotional, and I felt I could stop and be happy. I'm still collecting, but I'm very much in my 'endgame', to borrow your term. There's just a few pens in my 'grail' list now. And actually, that M600 tortoise shell is one of them 😇 Thanks for the video. I'm happy you got your tortoiseshell ❤️
Very touching video. I subbed because you prioritized you child over the pen. I see so many videos where people blow off their crying child to keep filming. The deep thoughts were an added bonus. Channel idea name could be Jenn’s Joys sounds dumb now that I type it but thought I’d throw that out there. Hope you are still loving the pen it is beautiful. I would love to find the white and pink one some day.
Thank you so so much, Robin. I have loved your videos for years, so it’s so cool to see you on my channel! I love the channel name idea. I am still trying to figure out which one I will choose, but I do really like your idea! I am writing with the pen right now actually. I am still loving it. You know, I held that white and pink one years ago at a pen show. I was living at home, and my dad took me to the Philly show for my birthday. He said he’d buy me one pen, and that was a contender. I ended up picking a different pen, mostly because I was right at the beginning of my time in this hobby and didn’t know what to choose! And to this day I kick myself because they’re so coveted now 😅 but everything happens for a reason!! I hope you find one someday soon ❤️❤️
I'm very happy for you!! Nice job of laying out how you feel about reviews, Im in the same vain as well. Beautiful pen and great choice for ink color as well. Happy writing ✍️.
I can’t believe it took me so long to watch this! This is such a beautiful story and I’m so glad you can enjoy the writing and the looks. When you know, you know. I’m loving the M805 Stresemann, and am surprised that the weight bothers me less than expected. I just received my M400 White Tortoiseshell today, and am looking forward to inking it up in a couple of days. It has to marinate to perfection before you open it. 😹 I loved the suspense, and I’m glad you were able to hold out for a little while on opening the Lamy 2000. You’ve got to savor the M600 and enjoy the moments. I look forward to seeing this make an appearance in future currently inked videos. 🧡🧡🧡🖋
I’m glad you’re enjoying the 805! And I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the 400. Your Lamy will be on its way back home shortly, as mine will be delivered today. Thank you for enabling me.. I mean letting me borrow it 🥰😉
I feel lucky. My 2nd pen is my perfect pen (Platinum Preppy). I tried 4 more (1 was a gift and only use to draw, 1 I modified the feed and now use it often, 2 I gave away) after that but Preppy is my perfect pen so now I got a few more Preppys just because I like to have different color inks ready to use. I'm content now, but I might buy more Preppys if I get more inks that I fall in love with. Now I have 6.
Gotta love those green and brown stripes! Congratulations! How does the width of your medium Pelikan compare to your medium Visconti? Karat is usually used for gold and carat for diamonds.
Thank you for telling me. Now I will Google why they are spelled differently 🤔 if someone said they had a 14 k/c gold ring I would never think that they meant 14 k/c for the diamond LOL hmm there must be an explanation! And I would say they’re pretty similar line width! I’m surprised at how much I like the feel of the m600 in my hand. I was worried it would be too light, but it’s perfect.
Glad you have two wonderful pens and one especially was a dream come true. 💚🐢 (As a believer in a “higher power” I see that as a love gift to you...☺️). I’m curious about the ink...why do you have to have certain inks in the pen? (I have so much to learn🤪!)
For vintage pens especially, you have to be careful not to use inks that are too acidic or too alkaline so as not to damage the latex sacs that are inside. It’s advised never to use Japanese inks in vintage pens, and Japanese inks make up 90% of my collection LOL! So I had to get a couple more safe options 😀 I am truly so grateful for my love gift! The universe told me that I was not done until I had my one true love with the rest of my flock 🥰 I feel so ready to sit back and relax with my collection while my friends find their next favorites and show them to me! 😁
I feel this way about the Pelikan M600 Turquoise. There's one on eBay currently available for a reasonable price, but the nib isn't a medium (though I could replace it) and I can't afford it right now, anyway. Maybe one day the stars will align for me. 🤞 This video was posted a day before my 30th birthday, so maybe it's getting the ball rolling, LOL!
Hi, Gretchen! I want to make a video soon. In March I found out I was pregnant (finally!), and have been very ill because of it. I haven’t purchased any pens, and I’ve actually sold all but a few. I still have this one though 🥰 I want to do a life update/planner and journal set up kind of video. Just need to find the energy and time!! Hope all is well ❤️❤️
Congratulations! So exciting, but also very taxing. I can’t wait to hear what you have left and what’s going on. You are missed! Still loving your old Visconti. :-)
@@jennstns9 I figured since it took you so long to acquire but I also never thought you would part with your Visconti so I figured I’d call dibs! 😉 just in case!
What a wonderful video! I have a similar story to yours, as this is also a pen I had been searching for a long time. I also watched The Pen Habit's review of this pen (how I wish Matt Armstrong was still doing pen reviews- he was really the best and most intelligent reviewer around!) but there was no way I could find one. Then, a few years ago, on a business trip to Rome I visited a pen shop near the Vatican (Stilograf Corsani) and had a look around. I then asked whether the owner had any M600 and he opened a draw which- you have guessed it- had this M600 White Tortoiseshell. New. Gleaming and lying in the pen rack waiting for someone to buy it. I could not believe what I was seeing. Of course I bought it immediately and have treasured it ever since. These M600s are quite wonderful. Enjoy your pen!
Congrats on the find! It’s always about being in the right place at the right time. It is such a beautiful pen!
It really is! Thank you for watching ❤️
CRY DAMMIT.
😭😭😭💚💚💚
so happy for you!!!!
I’m so happy you’ve found your grail pen! I can just feel how happy you are! 🖤🖤🖤
Thank you thank you!! I am so happy ❤️

Very beautiful pen. Hearty congratulations.
That is truly a story about a grail pen. There has to be a quest involved.
1. In German, Ct is also used for gold.
2. Very happy for you getting your dream pen.
That’s what I was thinking, that it was just a difference in spelling depending on the language. And thank you!! 😁

Can I assume since you haven’t posted new videos that you aren’t currently buying more pens?

Thank you for this interesting and inspiring video. What a journey you've been on.
How about "Jenn's Journaling" or "Journaling Jenn"?
Oh I love that! I didn’t even think of those ideas. Thank you so much for those 🥰
Channel name idea: The Right Pen...in honor of your dream pen and play on word “write” or similarly Right with Jenn or Write with Jenn
Oooo those are some good ideas! Thank you!!
Kindred spirituality….big time.
people get pens sent for free haha. It sounds like there were some beef or assumptions made.
Not quite sure what you’re referring to, but thanks for watching!
