    Extremely thicc foam.

    Not a fair test, you should have rinsed using hose and not using pressure washer, this would have shown the actual cleaning ability of the shampoo. With pressure washer, half of the job is done by the washer itself.

    My car has a good wax coat. So when I foam my car, it does work. Maybe if it did not have a coating it would not work as well.

    Foam doesn’t increase the dirt attacking and encapsulating properties of your cleaner. Test with and without. It’s the same. I hate to know this cos I’ve invested in foaming capability quite heavily.

      It increases dwell time principally

    Do all cleaners need to sit for about 5 minutes? I tend to just spray and wipe

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dwell time will reduce the effort required. You need to give chemicals time to do their job.

    I tried this on a white car and still get a thin film of dirt that I could write on after leaving the foam to dwell for 5 mins then rinsing, is that normal or should it be pretty much clean? I am using a Marolex pump sprayer plus a garden hose so not sure if that makes a difference. I used about 2oz with about 40oz water. The foam seemed pretty decent to me and lasted for a good few minutes on the car but still the layer of dirt. Is it safe to still use a mitt on the second foaming despite the layer of dirt? Any tips/info would be great!

      That’s normal, the pre-foam takes care of grit, but leaves traffic film which you then remove with the contact wash.

      Use rinse less wash like DIY videos show for the contact wash I’ve heard others call this a hybrid wash saves time water and produces great results especially adding some other DIY products like water spot remover quick beads ect

    I don't recall DIY making any claim(s) that IS was a touchless car soap. If I missed that claim, please let me know.

      We use our Kranzle at around 1000 psi, just regular tap water.

    I’m sorry if this is a stupid question. Are you supposed to foam the vehicle and then take a microfiber towel/microfiber mitt and scrub the vehicle? Or do you foam the vehicle and then just rinse it off?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We prefer to foam, rinse, foam again ( lightly) then contact wash.
