You really believe his story? Read the court reports! The guy was apparently killed by a jealous boyfriend and his friend who killed the victim for having sex with his girlfriend, no mention of rape in the court reports.
You make a good point, but what strikes me more is his stupidity; he should know better as a young Black man in the UK. The fact that he was defending the honour of someone else's woman, speaks to his poor judgement.
@@63Baggies I was struck by it as well, but in my mind I didn’t consider it stupidity, however I completely understand your feelings. The problem is … how can you be 100% certain that the female in question is recounting the incident with 100% accuracy? That’s a big leap of faith to make especially when your ‘act of revenge’ could quickly escalate into murder or the infliction of permanent physical or brain damage. There are ALWAYS two sides to a story no matter how hard we try to deny it.
Here's the real story from a local newspaper at the time of your admired hero; "Aaron Spencer, 21, and O'Fill Allen, 20, used Spencer's 18-year-old girlfriend, Tara Icar, as a honey trap to lure Orlando Thompson to his death. They lay in wait in a phone box before pouncing on the 31-year-old outside a bus stop and repeatedly beating him around the head with baseball bats. Icar walked off as Mr Thompson collapsed to the ground with a fractured skull and swelling to the scalp during the frenzied attack. He was taken to Charing Cross Hospital but died five days later after a severe heart attack. The Old Bailey heard how Mr Thompson, who used the street name 'X' and was also known as Neil Atherton, met Spencer's girlfriend Tara Icar while driving through Finsbury Park in his BMW. They exchanged phone numbers and they had sex after a date on June 10, 2003. But when jealous Spencer found out about Thompson a few days later, he set up the fatal attack. On June 22, Mr Thompson left his house in Sweet Briar Green, Edmonton, to meet Icar and pulled up at the bus stop in Stroud Green Road, near the junction with Tollington Park. She enticed him out of the car while Spencer and Allen hid in a phone box with one wooden and one metal baseball bat. Prosecuting Sally Howes QC, told the court: "They made straight for Mr Thompson and attacked him, striking him repeatedly and forcefully with the bats. "Most of the blows were to the head and many were struck while he was on the ground, injured and helpless." Police found two baseball bats in a nearby rubbish bin covered with traces of the victim's blood. A used condom with Mr Thompson's semen and traces of Icar's DNA was found in the victim's jacket pocket. Spencer later told friends he and Allen had beaten up a man who made sexual advances towards 'his girl' but did not mean to kill him. Judge Paul Focke QC told the pair: "You mercilessly beat the unarmed man about the head. O'Fill Allen, you became an enthusiastic and willing partner in this revenge attack. "The sentence for murder is mandatory." Allen, of Osborne Road, Finsbury Park, will serve a minimum of 11 years and 127 days before parole is considered and Spencer, of Mildmay Road, Islington, will serve at least 12 years and 127 days. Icar, of Queens Drive, Finsbury Park, admitted conspiracy to cause actual bodily harm. She will be sentenced at a later date." Man's right about "who can you go to?" thing, 100%. In an ideal world, drugs would be legalised across the board and sold legally, so there's no need for widespread corruption as the risk/reward ratio is extremely low/high for most smaller offences (which are often carried out by drug users), so there'd be no reason to waste police resources on putting vulnerable people behind bars. @@justme-ew3ri A man was murdered with no evidence of rape and your so mentally ill that you think it's somehow acceptable. The women who was apparently raped didn't tell the courts or provide any evidence, even though she was punished for being involved in the murder. That's strange to any normal and healthy functioning adult. No women has gone on record and said the man in question did anything, it's only his word that this is true. The original comment is likely more correct than anything you've waffled. His boy friend was likely jealous of the man having sex with his ex and he got roped into backing his friend up. They then arranged to meet him and hurt him but instead killed him. Instead of facing murder charges they claimed it was because the ex was raped... Few flaws in that, 1. The women never mentioned anything about being raped in court or to the police. 2. If she was raped then I'm sure the rapist wouldn't go along with wanting to meet her again after
If you listen to what he said, the “women” took a plea for an assault charge so they couldn’t use the argument in court that they went to scare him due to him R the women, so essentially they was battling a straight murder / manslaughter charge.
Either way, people should have a chance to defend themselves in court. He never gave him the chance to explain his side of the story. Why did no one report anything to the police?
There being an understandable reason behind the crime doesn't make the crime alright. We shouldn't take it into our own hands to decide who lives and who doesn't, no matter the crime. There will always be a time in your life when you wish someone wasn't alive.
I'm embarrassed for your comment. There was no evidence of rape, not even mentioned in court or to the police. Why? Yet you hope a murderer has a fantastic life
This is tragic tale and, listening to Mr Allen's story, you can't help but respect his honesty about what and why he did what he did. I certainly don't think he woke up that morning and, along with his friend, decided to kill someone that day. It does not seem to be premeditated murder. Manslaughter, yes but not murder. I have have two grown-up daughters and I defy anyone to not agree with the 'justice' that was metered out to the victim. Being a victim of rape or sexual assault is a life sentence of emotional damage and pain. Had the victim survived his injuries, people may have said he had what was coming to him. However, from what was said, it seems he was a sexual predator and indeed, had he lived, may have doubtless gone on to attack many other young women before he was caught. So, to that end, as Mr Allen puts it, there is one less rapist walking the earth. Mr Allen also points out that going to the police would have been a waste of time, principally because people of colour are treated differently by the justice system. We know, from countless reports about institutional racism endemic across many police forces, that he has a point. Secondly, as he correctly referenced, Wayne Couzens, a serving officer in the Met, abducted, raped and murdered Sarah Everard. Trust in the police force, particularly in densely-populated cities, is at an all-time low. In the end, Mr. Allen has served his time and is attempting to turn his life around. I wish him the best of British luck.
Honestly nobody deserves to die over rape, beat someone's ass but not kill them. Most time rape isn't like TV where it's aggressive and you throw the other person around, something can get out of hand and you can get caught up, it doesn't mean you are this big bad person because you technically raped a girl. This is someone's kid, you don't understand life yet, a rapist family doesn't have to cry their eyes out because of a mistake their kid made, it doesn't make him worthless because he raped a girl. Everybody has the right to live, rape is not murder, so there is no reason to take someone's life for it
Or perhaps rather, you personally "can't help" but *assume* his "honesty". Despite none of it adding up. You're not alone & what u said about the justice system IS accurate, but we can't allow it to cloud our judgment, as none of that has any bearing on his guilt or innocence. I wanted to believe him too yet, as others have layed out in great detail, the whole thing is simply not credible, even if it reinforces a narrative we feel strongly about. In fact, that's precisely when it's most important to be mindful of our inherent biases. Please understand, I'm not unsympathetic to your inclination. Quite the opposite, actually. Indeed that's how I'm able to recognize it. You see, I too distrust the justice system, despise the police, & support victims who castrate or even kill their abusers. I speak from experience, as I've been guilty of allowing my passion for "justice" to override my commitment to evidence & reason, causing me to jump the gun on many occasion. Until, inevitably, it was my own " uncompromising principles" (uneasonable self-righeous zeal), my own convinctions, which lead to my conviction... Best of luck.
He got a friend to help him beat this man with bats, what did they think was going to happen? You hit someone in the head with a baseball bat once and they might die from just that.
Yea, he told the story on another podcast and the story was different, and you are right, in the actual case none of them said anything about rape, it was just a honey trap over jealousy
Every violent scum bag I've ever known had some bullshit virtuous excuse on hand if they got caught. Him raising his voice and trying to intimidate when she asked about if it should have been handled by the police was a big red flag. Not doing it because 15 years after the incident, one cop out of 130,000 in the country turned out to be a rapist himself is poor reasoning. If he said they get too light of sentences often he'd have a point. I'd have to know a girl extremely well to risk killing somebody and/or getting locked up on account of her story. He made a stupid choice any way you cut it.
He acted with no evidence other than this woman’s word for it who went into a bedroom with a man alone to “chat”. Sometimes regret on the female part can be twisted into saying she was attacked.
I understand why he did what he did, not saying it's wrong or right; He is standing up for what he believes in, you don't know what he went through when he was younger. Really intriguing to watch. You can see he is trying to convince himself that he did the right thing, but there's an inkling he knows he probably shouldn't have taken it that far. You can be a defender without murdering someone.
I'd crack someone's skull like an egg if they violated anyone I loved in that way. No questions asked. Have you ever been raped? Might as well be dead. You wouldn't defend your own mother or sister in this manner? Allllrighty then.
3 sides to every story, hers...his...and the truth. I wouldn't go on a vigilante mission based on just what a woman said happened. How many men have had false accusations?

They lay in wait in a phone box before pouncing on the 31-year-old outside a bus stop and repeatedly beating him around the head with baseball bats. He was taken to Charing Cross Hospital but died five days later after a severe heart attack. The Old Bailey (The court) heard how Mr Thompson, who used the street name 'X' and was also known as Neil Atherton, met Spencer's girlfriend Tara Icar while driving through Finsbury Park in his BMW. Spencer later told friends he and Allen had beaten up a man who made sexual advances towards 'his girl' but did not mean to kill him."
Love how they twist the narrative whilst still keeping the important details in there. They indirectly say the girl was in on it but they word it so as to say they went behind her back to use her to get to the guy out of 'jealousy' lmao Bellends...
People calling this guy a hero need to actually read up on this case. Zero mention of sexual abuse or rape just that the girl did date him and sleep with him. No wonder she took a plea and didn't want to go to court. Majority of the blows with the bats came when the dude was defensively flat out in the street as well unlike what he claims.
Yes exactly, but people praising this man on matters they don’t understand. According to court reports it was a jealous boyfriend and his friend who murdered a man for sleeping with his girlfriend. This man shows absolutely no remorse!
You must not know much about how the court documents things. Doesn't matter what really happened, things often get twisted and falsely documented. No wonder she didn't want to go to court is right, they changed her story and nobody would have believed her with them documenting it that way.
This man is a hero! He shouldn't have been in prison, he should have been given a medal and the keys to the city. They way he shows so much compassion for women, you can tell that it's not all about his ego. He genuinely wants women to be able to live in peace, no matter what people think of him.
LADbible TV, do you call soldiers "Murderers" as well? While most of the times they really are? You re-judge your guest and label him. 'You're not a defender; you're a murderer.' Bravo.
"My mate told me his girl kinda went round this mans house and kinda told her this and that and sat on the bed. So I went round and killed the man. Then went to prison but its OK cos I killed that man innit. Initially when I saw this video I emphathized with this man and I never had a doubt, but after reading into the story online it seems like he’s being dishonest here. There should be at least a disclaimer because this man’s story is very very different from the reports
ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE. They killed that man for nothing. Since making the comment below I’ve found out that this attack was actually unwarranted and the man they killed was killed because the boyfriend was jealous that his girlfriend was with someone who made more money than him and was far more attractive than him. I just knew something didn’t seem right with this interview. -- It seems like he’s unsure of if the man actually raped her “well why would he shield himself if he wasn’t guilty”. In the same breath why would someone who assaulted someone meet up with them in a dark obscure place? If we’re gonna use that logic. My only issue with this is that you should’ve been sure 100% sure that he did whatever he did to that woman before attacking him. Never have I ever been a victim blamer but I’ve seen far to many cases where things didn’t happen the way someone said they did and someone took action only to find out the person was innocent. Before you involve yourself you need to make sure and truthfully he didn’t sound too sure.
The story of what happened and what him his friend and the girl told the court is very different to his story now, there was no mention of rape before, the word jealousy and honey trap came up in the original story though
Yeah she just happens to get raped while she and her bf are on a break? Come on… she got laid and then changed her mind about the consent later. Absolute psychos
@@danielwilson5102 I just googled his name and a link came up with an article from The Independent, back from 2004. That didn’t match his story either.
To be declared a murderer, that directly implies the life of a human was taken. That wasn't a human. That was a toxic collection of matter that was a threat to humans.
Exactly why you should let the justice system handle those things. Taking things into your own hands is almost never the right thing to do. Sure, there are corrupt or inept people working for the police, courts and so on, but the system itself was thought out over hundreds and thousands of years, and whilst it still may be not perfect, it sure is better than a decision made in the spurt of the moment by a single individual. You also kind of deny yourself the moral high ground and the right to judge someone if you lower yourself down to their level. Most people think what they do is right and justify their actions with sometimes pretty unsound or even twisted logic. And as despicable and immoral rape may be, in my book, murder is worse. Let people handle the law that are not emotionally conflicted like an individual that's directly affected by a crime is.
@@ThereIsNoSp00n I think it depends doesn't it? Is murder worse than rape? Say a person was killed instantly without feeling any pain or anything and let's assume he was a murderer himself. Now think of another person who was raped and left to deal with the trauma and consequences for years to come. Do you think the rape was less worse than the murder? I do not think so. It all depends on perspective and not everything is black and white. Plus the law isn't always right either even though we could say that it has a higher probability of judging the situation. But not so sure about the sentences being handed out though. A lot of really light sentences and slaps on the wrist.
@@tryptich7347 If the raped person committs suicide because they can no longer go on, then sure, rape was worse than a "painless murder". If not, then I would argue no, murder is still worse. You can overcome trauma and find joy once again in life, even if you were raped. Pretty hard to do though once you're dead. Add to that, most murder victims don't die a painless death, and most rape victims don't kill themselves. So my point still stands; except for highly specific situations, murder is worse than rape. Also consider this; it seems pretty cruel to me to state that a rape victim would be better off murdered. You better not tell that to a victim of rape. But that's exactly what the logical conclusion would be if you say rape is worse than murder.
I pre judged this man based on the title of the video. Then I listened to his story. I am now with him. I completely understand why he did it. He got rid of a piece of shit. I wish him all the best with his future.
As much as I morally agree with what he did (assuming everything he said was true) we have to remember that there are lots of countries who allow street justice to take place and they are never any better for it. None of those places are safer places to be. As much as our system is flawed somehow we end up with a better outcome.
It’s not that we need street justice, it’s that our system doesn’t hit rapists hard enough. If the punishments were severe we wouldn’t be complaining. In some countries they get hung, in china castrated which I think wouldn’t be bad here if you won’t give them death or actual life imprisonment. After they do their time they’ll be better cictizens as sex drive will be a lot lower. In Saudi Arabia they get beheaded with a sword 😂 bit too much ngl but it’s not wrong. I think we should do death by lethal injection or electric chair at least only if evidence is 100% there, I’m talking clear videos where the victim and attackers faces and bodies are clearly seen, phone calls or messages talking about it, solid evidence that couldn’t be faked. Same goes for murderers who murdered for reasons with 0 justification and the evidence is solid and crystal clear too. I think dead sentence in the uk should be used when evidence is like that.
I agree but the problem is that these people are still being given sentences that are WAY too harsh. You don't need to lock them up for 12 years to discourage other people from being vigilantes.

I honestly admire this man's character and integrity. Murder is a horrific thing but his explanation and sincerity is very admirable.
Here's the real story from a local newspaper at the time of your admired hero;
"Aaron Spencer, 21, and O'Fill Allen, 20, used Spencer's 18-year-old girlfriend, Tara Icar, as a honey trap to lure Orlando Thompson to his death.

Police found two baseball bats in a nearby rubbish bin covered with traces of the victim's blood.
"The sentence for murder is mandatory."
Allen, of Osborne Road, Finsbury Park, will serve a minimum of 11 years and 127 days before parole is considered and Spencer, of Mildmay Road, Islington, will serve at least 12 years and 127 days.
Icar, of Queens Drive, Finsbury Park, admitted conspiracy to cause actual bodily harm. She will be sentenced at a later date."

Man's right about "who can you go to?" thing, 100%. We'd be able to use police funds to fund ACTUAL criminals, like rapists, child abusers/neglecters, etc. yet instead, we've had to come to vigilante justice as a society to get some form of vengeance/justice/whatever jacket you wanna put on it.

Everybody has the right to live, rape is not murder, so there is no reason to take someone's life for it
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

"Aaron Spencer, 21, and O'Fill Allen, 20, used Spencer's 18-year-old girlfriend, Tara Icar, as a honey trap to lure Orlando Thompson to his death in Stroud Green.
The Old Bailey (The court) heard how Mr Thompson, who used the street name 'X' and was also known as Neil Atherton, met Spencer's girlfriend Tara Icar while driving through Finsbury Park in his BMW.
"Most of the blows were to the head and many were struck while he was on the ground, injured and helpless."
Police found two baseball bats in a nearby rubbish bin covered with traces of the victim's blood. A used condom with Mr Thompson's semen and traces of Icar's DNA was found in the victim's jacket pocket.
Spencer later told friends he and Allen had beaten up a man who made sexual advances towards 'his girl' but did not mean to kill him."
Yep I remember the case... Guys really suger coating it with this whole rapist thing
Keeping a used condom in your pocket after raping somebody…. Jesus Christ
Wait the guy kept the condom? Wtf?
@@bradtheabolt817 Yeah what does that tell you? He kept it as a keepsake. A rapist
Love how they twist the narrative whilst still keeping the important details in there.
They indirectly say the girl was in on it but they word it so as to say they went behind her back to use her to get to the guy out of 'jealousy' lmao
Bellends...
Was looking for a comment like this.
Didn't believe the story.
You must not know much about how the court documents things. Doesn't matter what really happened, things often get twisted and falsely documented. No wonder she didn't want to go to court is right, they changed her story and nobody would have believed her with them documenting it that way.

@@emilyjane9901 oh she told you that did she?
Facts over speculation from people who have no idea about the case!
And his girlfriend was definitely telling the truth about everything who relayed it to my boy who relayed it to me I'm proud of myself and stay humble in my designer gear."
Oof. That about sums it up.
Nothing but respect for this man! He’s a hero… The other 2 are just wrong in not reaching out & appreciating the fact that he put his own life on pause for them.
Yes like I can’t understand them
How is killing someone based solely on an accusation and no hard evidence anything to be celebrated?
@@robertp457 the people in this comment section are ridiculous. Congrats, there is a possible sexual predator off the streets, but at the cost of a brand new murderer.
@@eneje7637 he’s not a murderer, the definition of murder is that it is premeditated. He accidentally killed him, it was manslaughter.
@@Zralost it was absolutely premeditated. He went in there with a bat. You have to be an idiot to think that hitting a person with a bat several times in the head won’t kill them.
I started this video thinking I would hate you for what you've done without regret, but I can at least understand your point of view now I've watched your video.
It makes me think that if we can only listen to each other, we could live a lot easier. Good luck with your music. Regards, Hugh
His heart it in the right place. I wish him the best of luck and a happy future
Respect for what you did an your belief, don't doubt yourself good luck with the rest of your life 👍💪
Respect to my guy. Sorry you lost your younger days to this. We all have a purpose in life. You took your L as a lesson and understood your meaning instead of self destruction . Stay strong my bro and wish you all the blessings to come
He murdered s0meone that was accused of a crime with absolutely no evidence and didn't even seek the other side of the story, imagine someone accuses you of being a pedo and someone murders you and you don't even get that chance to explain your side of the story or get a fair trial and then millions on the internet are celebrating your death even though your likely innocent
Initially when I saw this video I emphathized with this man and I never had a doubt, but after reading into the story online it seems like he’s being dishonest here. There should be at least a disclaimer because this man’s story is very very different from the reports
You are amazing Sir, all the best to you for your future!
--
It seems like he’s unsure of if the man actually raped her “well why would he shield himself if he wasn’t guilty”.
You are absolutely correct I looked it up as well
I thought that straight away. Also he spends half his life in jail yet is sat in designer gear with a gold chain around his neck.
Obviously a career criminal the clothes and gold chain tells me as soon as this man got out he started dealing or some shit.
Yeah I didn't take any of this at face value
I dont know shit but I too got a feeling something is off.
He didn't commit murder. He committed justice. Fair play to the man..
The story of what happened and what him his friend and the girl told the court is very different to his story now, there was no mention of rape before, the word jealousy and honey trap came up in the original story though
This sounds more like it. Can tell he’s lying tbh. I’ve seen two interviews with him on this case and both stories change
Love this guy....hes a defender 💙🤝
The story just doesn’t add up, too many logical inconsistencies. It’s also not a great sign that he has zero remorse.
News reports from the time don't match his story either

To be declared a murderer, that directly implies the life of a human was taken.
That wasn't a human. That was a toxic collection of matter that was a threat to humans.
What’s the logic of attacking a person on hearsay? Go to the POLICE 👮♀️
the police rarely ever take rapes seriously

The definition of a murderer is someone who takes a life, love...🙃

Not just "some" more like "too many"
Exactly why you should let the justice system handle those things.
I was thinking that as well
@@ThereIsNoSp00n I think it depends doesn't it?
He's a hero for taking out the trash. Well done mate👏🏾

Crommington, not true!!!! Not true at all.
I heard about this case where I grew up. The guy is lying, the guy they killed was a dealer, they robbed him she was the trap
@@mrg6185 that sounds a lot more realistic.
