    We really aren’t giving enough credit to the guy who played Biff. He played the character so well as a Teen, and older ass, now he plays a rough and tough cowboy. He could have played more roles as a westerner cow poke 👀

    • @jamesshunt5123
      @jamesshunt5123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +179

      Sadly for Thomas Wilson he got forever associated the role of Biff and is constantly called "Hey Biff!" whenever somebody recognized him. In reality he's a really nice, down-to-earth guy too and nothing like Biff so I can imagine it's annoying for him. Unfortunately actors remembered as villains often get a lot of this sh*t from the stupid public.

      @@jamesshunt5123 Well, i believe that only idiots bullying actors for playing bad guys. Still, even for intelligent people, many actors are associated with one role. And that's the problem.
      And not only for actors who played villains, comedian actors too. We had similar situation with Alexander Dem'yanenko in Russia.
      His most reknown role was one of Shurik: kind and honest, but simple, naive, awkward and clumsy person. Alexander himself was a very intelligent, proud and rather complex person, and he was terribly offended when people came up to him on the street and, laughing, slapped him on the shoulder with the words "Hey, Shurik (short name of his hero in the comedy)!". He could play the roles of kings and ministers in the theater, but in the minds of ordinary people he was forever a Shurik.

    If you count the bullets as Tanner is shooting at Marty's feet, you can count 6 shots. A typical revolver will only hold six bullets at a time, which is why he was immediately out of bullets when he wanted to shoot Marty for real.
    The fact that Tanner wasted all his bullets like that and didn't notice is a testament to how stupid he is, as any competent person with a revolver like that would count his bullets to avoid wasting all of them on something stupid when he might need them later.

    Appearantly in this scene Michael J. Fox actually almost suffocated, not sure if there is a source but rumor has it Fox claimed that this scene here where he suffocated could be the cause of his parkinsons. To add on too that, the physical labor and the amount of times he got hit on his head could be a factor as well.

      @@NiceGuysFinishLas100 Its a rumor so I'm not sure if Michael J Fox even claimed this, but the amount of physical labor he went through for the show does affect your body. For most of the action scenes, he does get dragged around and actually hits his head a lot, he would show up to set after he was done filming another project which gives little to no sleep, and he has passed out once during filming so I feel like that would affect him somehow, it isn't healthy.

    Fun Fact: Under the laws of most places in the US, Biff is actually correct about being owed for the horseshoe, the horse, and even the whiskey. Though in any legal case they will deduct the amount he owes for the shoeing service itself (since the bill was as yet unpaid).
    Doc could potentially defend himself by suggesting it was not necessary to shoot the horse, thereby lessening what he owes to Biff. Still, in this scene, Biff is legally-correct.

    Is no-one going to talk about the guy leaping up onto his horse by vaulting up over it from behind and hopping into his saddle at 1:23?
    Aside from NOT getting mule-kicked in the chest from spooking the horse, that leap alone is pretty damn difficult! That's one agile cowboy!

      This scene was probably the origin of his parkinson disease.

    • @PygmalionFaciebat
      @PygmalionFaciebat 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FelixS. I dont think so. I read that insomnia, or not enough sleep over long period of time increases Parkinson disease. Michael J. Fox had very small amount of sleep when he made the first Back to the Future (because he had a contract to do his TV-show to (Family ties, i think it was) ). He was a workaholic in the 80s and 90s. If i had to guess, than this triggered his Parkinson disease.

    • @FelixS.
      @FelixS. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PygmalionFaciebat Well I don‘t know exactly of course but I did read on several occasions it was most likely him
      being strangled and passing out consequently during this scene. As far as I remember the lacking support of enough oxygen is one of the most significant reasons which support this disease but in the end I don’t know for sure.

      Yes but this is a PG rated movie. Besides bleeping out the cursing doesn't make the clip anymore suitable particularly when it's subtitled with sufficient letters to tell us what the bleeped profanity is

    I always wondered: would Doc actually be liable for damages caused by the thrown shoe? One could argue that yes: it was what caused the accident. The fact that Biff didn't pay for it is immaterial in this case. Biff owed Doc money for the job, but Doc was liable for quality of the work he had done.
