- Today, we're taking a look at the brand new set from the original Avatar movie the Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch! This set releases on October 1st but was sent to me early by LEGO / LAN to do a review for!

I think it’s a chainsaw.
Can't wait to see MOCs of screen-accurate weaponry for the AMP suit, unstead of the wimpy dagger and ridiculous chainsawblade.
For real! They could have given him a very large machine gun. That is totally possible for Lego to make. that is the only thing I have a problem with this set.
These sets are really making me realize how much I want Lego Subnautica!
Mix it with the new City space stuff would work well haha

Quaritch's hair would be perfect for J.J.J. from the Maguire spider-man movies.
Something about this theme really hits home for me. Especially for a licensed theme which I am usually fond of. But this brings me back to 2009-2010. Maybe it's just me but I get real Power Miners/ Space Police 3 Vibes off of these sets. I'm really looking forward to picking them up.

That Urk-Hai sword doesn't work for the knife, plus Marvel mechs have had guns for years, why couldn't this one have one? Hell, they even include Neytiri and the bow she kills Quaritch with.
Yeah. Plus, the front box art shows the exact same pose the Thanator and Quaritch were in when he killed the animal with the knife :/
So Lego could've definitely added the gun!

I LOVE this set! This is one of the only mechs I like. The build for the creature looks AWESOME! I love this theme. Just the Na'avi heads are...
It's great set but the yellow comb is just stupid. They should have included the heavy auto cannon.
I wanted Thanator to have 6 shoulders not 4 but that will require the body to be longer and or the shoulders to be smaller
The AMP suit looks awesome and so does the Thanator, more of Pandora's awesome plant builds is always cool, and getting the final battle Neytiri and Quaritch is just great! Though I do wish we would have got a real AMP suit gun, not that yellow "chainsaw". Over all I think this is a great set and I will deffo pick it up!

Apparently the Mech’s did use chainsaws but it wasn’t a really huge thing in the movie. The mechs were used for others purposes as well like cutting down trees or pushing or loading equipment

not a fan of the thanator build, but everything else sold me on this set, especially the AMP mech.
the thanator's head is perfect for Boga from star wars, too

1:35 I can't wait to see how different Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Boga set with Obi-Wan riding and chasing General Grievous with her will look in the future with that new creature head mold from this set, You all know they didn't make it just for the Avatar theme wink wink 😏😁😅

Thats a good military mech just needs its main weapon a rifle. But that I can't wait to start on. Not to mention probably and hopefully be able to bricklink enough parts to build a few.
Im getting all Avatar Sets and this and the Samson Set Double. I also buy a bunch of Miles Body and Legs to Build some RDA Soldiers

I was really excited to get this set, only to see an AMP Suit with a yellow hair comb and a C H O N K Y cockpit. It’s good, but it could’ve been better.
Probably 9.75 out of 10 or something ❤😊

The AMP looks much better without the cockpit piece. It tall as the shoulders, which removes the most iconic thing about that mech
What is it with lego making everything kid friendly when they are literally doing the James Cameron Avatar set like for gosh sake, he is the same director who was going to make Spiderman a true freak and the same director who made the Alien franchise more horrific and awesome in Aliens. Also I want to have a lego sin city set with the black and white red blood and everything with Frank Miller ranting

The creator of lego was around for world war 2 and saw the horror of modern war, so that’s why he didn’t want to make toys of it.

This 'no war machines' policy of Lego's is getting ridiculous and tiresome. They bought the rights to the movie, but are afraid to depict it in an honest way.
Why is it that all of the Star Wars sets can have relatively accurate weapon designs, but the AMP is given a bafflingly stupid hair comb, instead of its gun? Both themes are equally fictitious, Lego, so why do stuff like this? You might as well have given it a basket of carrots and some flowers, along with a cute bunny to hold.
