if you're going to do a bleed down you should do it fully and the correct way. you're supposed to start with a fully charged system. then test the governor cut in cut out 3psi loss 4 psi loss for a full minute. air warning then spring brake and recovery. don't cut corners as you're a school that represents more than one location.it takes around 10 minutes to do it right.
@@saleemirza mass as in Massachusetts? I know the governor cut in and cut out is not limited to that state only if that's what you mean. I'm in Minnesota, have my class B cdl, have driven school bus, motorcoach, city transit bus, quint and quad axle dump and box trucks for 10 years and had to know it and it applied equally to all vehicles I've ever driven with air brakes. not sure what you mean by only for mass test. could you clarify what you mean please?
This is different than how my school in CT is currently teaching me… I’m having trouble in my school due to lack of instruction so I’m wondering which method I should go with? It’s difficult to learn these air brakes tests on these trucks because none of them are actually working properly (including the one in this video). Very frustrated in my school currently
Even if the break test on these trucks aren't working properly, don't give up on learning it because on test day, you will be practicing in a good truck. Just continue to remember it and repeat it over and over until you get it and understand the concept of it. Break test is a MOST to pass the cdl test
Wonderfull inspection, please be aware if you’re watching this video for a Massachusetts CDL A test there have been some changes as of 1-2023 Your compressor recovery check you’re allowed to high idle the truck to 85 pounds at that point you let off the accelerator and time your recovery to 100 pounds this needs to be completed within 45 seconds to pass. Additionally, after you complete your 5 mile an hour tractor service brake test, you also need to complete a 5 mph trolley brake test, Thank you nettts for your content, JD pasquale tree
You also need to release both brakes fill up tanks first and then fan brakes down to cut in at 100 and bring pressure back up to full cut out. Then completes cut In and cut out. Apply brakes. Shut truck off lowest gear key in the on position. Release brakes 3psi to lose no more than 5 to 15psi. Repeat process for service foot pedal 4 psi loss no more than 5 to 15 psi initial loss. Hold time for one minute. That's newest version of this test.
