    Awesome video! Totally new brand/product to me. Wish I had seen this before getting a Serpent, which is just super sloppy in the rear. Been some time though. Not sure when these came out. Oh well, serpent is my basher and give to the kids buggy now and we are loaded with Losi and Kyosho BUT ya’ gotta’ start somewhere! These seem like great contenders. Thanks for the content!

      I travel an hour 30/40 to beach rc in myrtle or WORC in lucama, even been 4 hours to redbrush rc!
      The travel sucks but destination is awesome and if you can get ur hands on a cheap tent and air mattress you're SET who needs a hotel!?!?!

    Love the channel bro, I'm new to rc racing. Absolutely love the hobby. I'm really tempted to make a vlog for NZ nationals.
    As a new guy in the hobby, and managing to get in Amains, it's crazy to see the politics, in rc

      Looks like it's running some parts from the new and old generation, from the looks of it with enough money you could swap all the current kit parts for better suspension tuning
      I may purchase that new narrow rear pivot kit with the long arms

      Get out there man! Get you some of those pro circuit tires and hit a track, do your research on track surface and what tires other racers use commonly
      Make sure you have spare parts even the odd ball parts!

    Sup bro.. just found your channel.. I just got a sct.. preparing for my first ever race.. I’m actually looking for a 1:8 buggy

    • @chasentrophies
      @chasentrophies  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're tight on budget, (most people are looking at these 1/8 buggies) this sworks is 1000% the best thing i think anyone can get their hands on
      And I don't get paid to say that! Parts can be ordered through beachrc, while they don't have a lot in stock they can order them and get them to ya quickly!
      I have seen personally with my own eyes, the inferno mp9 by kyosho go down first couple laps and the drivers day was all over... I've taken some gnarly hits with this sworks and she's still trudging on! I do still run it on my own time, but I mainly race my TLR.
      If you were to purchase this RTR i would 100% buy a better servo. Nitropro is my go to, but protek makes killer stuff, I have a savox ryan cavilery in one of my 1/10 that is a killer servo. A good servo is pricey, but will make your driving experience SO MUCH better. Spend the money it's worth it!
      Also by getting this RTR you will learn a lot about 8th scale set up with pillow ball suspension which is VERY common among 1/8 mugen, HB, AE, etc. So by all means this buggy to start! Upgrade electronics as ya go! And when you're up for it, either buy the Sworks new kit! Or move on to another chassis and carry your electronics with you!

    So the throttles on my plane have these round anodized blue accents on the top that spin and are really awesome for fidgeting when im on a dead heading (long, straight leg of the flight). Anyhow, typical aircraft shit, theyre WAY over engineered and have bearings pressed into each anodized ring and they all have a depth capture on one side like that. I own an older Cessna 441 conquest 2. GREAT airplane by the way. Its pretty tricked out so i have no idea if someone machined their own throttles but, figured id say something that has a inkling of being helpful someday.

    How is the Sworkz apollo II holding up? I'm thinking about picking up a few of them for the up and coming race season. The only major drawback is parts availability....I live in far west Texas.

    • @chasentrophies
      @chasentrophies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm loving it still! I don't race it every time obviously but I still run it around
      My friend got his hands on one and made it to a b main and was loving it at the fall brawl here in SC (video coming soon)
      He took a serious slam torpedoing a pipe from the air and broke his a/b blocks but that was a hard slam in practice being his FIRST time on an 8th scale track
      The esc is tunable and has more power than needed! I never tuned mine in this video
      Contact Brent Densford with beach rc and he'll stock parts more often, he's already started ordering stuff for my friend who bought his.
      They're great buggies you'll be happy
      A great starting point and jumping off point when you get a new kit chassis and you'll have good electronics to build on as well! (Except servo... it's trash)

    Quick question: is there enough clearance with the chassis to install a 4268 sensored motor for racing? I know the stock motor is a 3670 so I would need approximately 4 mm more underneath the stock motor to be able to fit a 4268 motor. If you could post a side pic of the stock motor and chassis I would appreciate it. All the pics on the web have the wires hiding it. I emailed Sworkz but haven't gotten a response. Thanks
