  • It was a magical evening. 1500 singers came to Luminato Festival at the Hearn Generating Station in Toronto. Daveed + Nobu (AKA DaBu) taught them back up parts to Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, then Rufus Wainwright joined them on stage to sing lead. It was an EPIC NIGHT! to remember.
Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Well then, let's take the Foraminifera.
They lived, since they were, and were, since they lived.
They did what they could since they were able.
In the plural since the plural,
although each one on its own,
in its own, since in its own
      small limestone shell.
      Time summarized them later
      in layers, since layers,
      without going into details,
since there's pity in the details.
And so I have before me
      two views in one:
      a mournful cemetery made
      of tiny eternal rests
      or,
      rising from the sea,
the azure sea, dazzling white cliffs,
cliffs that are here because they are.
      "Foraminifera"

I was at my local shopping centre one evening a few years ago and a saxophone busker started playing this. Everyone in the street just randomly started singing. There were people in cafes. The cinema had just come out, they all joined in. Shoppers. People hanging out of their cars. Random people on the footpaths. Everyone just stopped moving and joined in. It was surreal. All their voices ringing beautifully. It was truly amazing. All theses years, it still gives me goosebumps. I don’t think i’ll ever forget that atmosphere.

The only true name of the Savior of the world is YAHSHUA! “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but the Christ YAHSHUA the Lord...” (2 Corinthians 4:1-5).
      Halleluyah means, “Praise YAH!”
      Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;
      ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV).
YAH, which means ‘I AM’, in Hebrew, and this is the name which is above every name revealed to Moses (Exodus 3:13-15).
Christ acknowledged that His name is YAH, as in “YAH Saves,” which is the revealed name YAHSHUA (see Matthew 1:21, for He will save His people), because He has the name which is above every name. For He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM {YAH}” (John 8:58). Jesus, Iesus, Iesous, Yeshua, Isa, Hey-zeus, are counterfeit names for they lack “YAH.”
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). The Heavenly Father revealed the Savior’s name: “YAHSHUA.” [YAH = I AM, Shua = Salvation, thus YAHSHUA.]
The apostle Paul, on the road to Damascus, encountered the Savior, who introduced His name to him in Hebrew as “YAHSHUA” (Acts 26:12-16).
The apostle Paul heard in Hebrew Christ revealed His name as YAHSHUA, and Paul hearing YAH actually wrote the one name, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
Halleluyah, Praise YAH, Praise YAHSHUA! YAHSHUA is the only name of salvation, and the gospel warns us not to reject His name: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18). The Savior’s name is YAHSHUA, and because there is no other name, any other names are counterfeits [not including titles, such as El Shaddai, or Emmanuel], and these counterfeit names are because: “Satan, deceives the whole world” (Rev. 12:9). “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Believe in the revealed name YAHSHUA and forsake all other names.

I remember my dad received a Christmas gift from my mom one time that he was so moved by that he left the room in the middle of opening presents to regain his composure before he came back a few minutes later.
I have listened to this song every few months for years now and it has brought me to tears every time.

That was pretty incredible. I think it’s an odd and wrong thing to criticize any of the thousands of different versions of “Hallelujah”. Leonard Cohen’s complete version, which was rarely performed in it’s entirety because it contains around 80 different verses. Different singers jumble the verses around to completely different parts of the song than where they originally appear and in almost every truncated version, which is 99.99 percent of them, verse 7 isn’t included in the rendition. It’s my favorite part of the song and the most human and meaningful part to me as well. Here’s the 7th verse of Hallelujah.
    [Verse 7]
I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

I'm not religious either but this is so spiritual. Shows we all need and WANT TO to come together in a positive manner, no matter who we are or where we're from. We belong together. Let's get rid of the negativity and push this flow of positive momentum onward! xxx

Thank you so much for uploading this. This December 15th will mark ten years since my Dad passed away. As a young man in the 1950`s, fresh out of high school in New Brunswick, a relative brought him to Ontario where better job opportunities lay. His first job was in this very plant. From here, he worked and studied his way up through all of the classifications, then university, until he achieved his PEng, pinkie ring and all, and even had his own engineering company. I had never seen this plant before and while watching the video, I was able to imagine my Dad as a much younger man, working/walking around the building. This meant a lot to me so again, thank you.

      Tara Home
Gosh, Tara, now THAT had me crying! 😢 Our Dads are the Heroes that forever stand tall. They protect us when we are young. Protect our roots as we spread our wings and guide us back to safety in times of need. Then they selflessly let go, so we can be who we are meant to be. I thought my Dad knew everything; though he admitted he didn't. I thought he was indestructible; though I'd seen him bleed. I thought he was forever. Cancer is cruel and now he is a shadow of the giant in my mind's eye. But, he smiles for me & say he feels great...for his little girl. The way you talk about your Dad, I can tell; he was your hero, too. 🙄

I hope you find courage in the things that surround you, and mostly I hope you find peace in knowing your loved one is forever resting surrounded by your love and all of the memories you have of them. I wish your pain washes away little by little like the tide uncovering a beautiful untouched sand beach, and if the tide of nostalgia has to come back up some day, I hope that you will be as strong as a cliff defying the waves and let yourself be surrounded by memories without being overflown.
