Wow! Great job 5-0's! We weren't smart enough in the I-14's, back in the day, to figger out that two poles was a viable possibility. The class finally gave up on symmetrical spinnakers, merged with the Australian boats, shifting to the asymmetric masthead kites with a retractable pole. I sort of missed smacking the driver in the teeth with the loose pole either in sets, jibes or douses. It seemed to put a little bit of justice in teh boat somehow. The double pole system should reduce capsizes considerably in the class by limiting the moments of chaos during maneuvers. Sweet idea.
