I did enjoy this and clicked "like" like a good boy. I especially appreciated that you validated my comments from the previous video where I said many of those starting points were too difficult. I had tried and commented on Honolulu, El Paso, Lubbock, Dallas, and Brownsville. You got much further than I did with Dallas, which wasn't a surprise since I'm not great with the states surrounding Texas. Very impressive. You also have a new feature for Darin (@HugeQuiz) to fix so others don't have a Barnstable situation. Is there any reason not to disable the edit box once the timer expires? I don't think the user can do anything with it at that point. For Honolulu, HugeQuiz kind of cheats because Honolulu is the only incorporated city in the state. HugeQuiz makes an exception and you have to name 9 Hawaiian CDPs before leaving the state. The 10th ring is very thick and says "Distance Range: 225-2300 miles." The first non-Hawaii city is gettable for geography nerds. You've used it in the past. The next one or two is very difficult hard as the ring just barely touches California.
Right. I wrote a reply on the suggestion on the previous video: "To leave Hawai'i from Honolulu, you need to name 9 Hawaiian census designated places, of which I was familiar with two. I did it out of curiosity how the circles would work when leaving the island. For those curious, it's a thick ring with 'Distance Range: 225-2300 miles.' I did, at least, correctly, get the first city outside of Hawaii on my first guess, but several here would get that. The next two are hard, but maybe the second is gettable if you zoom in."
I was surprised I managed to get the first city on my first guess. After that, the next several are all quite large. I'm not sure it's a particularly interesting starting point, but it's an appropriate one.
It was named after Edward Hatch who was a fairly well known Union General. He was one the top cavalry commanders for the Army of the Tennesse under Grant. After the war, he was stationed in New Mexico and other places to oppress Native Americans. None of that helped me when I tried El Paso after the last video. Hatch has a population of 1568. The next two rings are cities of about 30k and 20k.
Next time you do one of these, turn off the timer! This challenge is hard enough without the time limit, I'd rather see you try to complete the map than run out of time
Hey, he got further than I thought he would starting with Show Low. Holbrook has a population of 4858. Payson's is 16, 361. Safford's is 10,129. I found it impressive.
Great video! I subscribed! Edit: I see you didn't try it in this video, so in your next video, you should seriously consider starting from Utqiagvik, Alaska, the northernmost city in America. That would certainly be interesting.
I live by Coral Springs so I am very shocked to see it mentioned in one of these most populous city videos. I think the majority of the cities you tried for that circle are bigger than Coral Springs, so the circle must have just barely missed them.
my hometown is joliet il, just south haha. I was hoping we would be in one of the circles but unfortunately i doubt that would happen with so many cities in chicagoland lol. keep up the good work my guy, go cubbies
Starting in California just seems… mean. I LIKE IT. I mean, I did suggest ridiculously small Pennsylvania towns for a similar reason. You quickly run out of major cities and then it’s just… plains, mountains, and deserts.
@Chaotic_Pixie I would think starting in San Diego wouldn't be too bad. You'd have bigger northern California cities to help traverse past eastern AZ, NM, and western TX. Other parts of California seem like they'd be more difficult. I doubt I could get anywhere starting in Shelter Cove. All the cities I know are over 25 miles away. After the first ring, it might not be too terrible if Fort Bragg is the choice for the second ring. Never mind, I just tried and Shelter Cove isn't incorporated, so you can't use it for the game.
@@deepowls well, that blows. Guess one of my suggestions won’t work then. Heck! Whole cities in my state won’t work. Glen Mills, PA has a population of close to 23k, but it’s unincorporated. Fun fact. The township it’s apparently officially part of, Concord, only has a population of 17K. 🤷♀️ Altadena in California has over 44K and is unincorporated. East LA in California has a population of approximately 120K and is unincorporated. These are places with post offices & zip codes. They exist, and not just by tradition. How can they not be included?
@@Chaotic_Pixie, HugeQuiz has some games that use Census Designated Places, but it's easier to just draw the line for inclusion and something black-and-white like incorporation. HugeQuiz does make an exception for Hawaii in some games like this. The City and County of Honolulu is the only incorporated place in Hawaii. However, as shown in the video, you have to name multiple Hawaiian CDPs to get out of the state. I believe the 10th city is in Alaska and the 11th or 12th is in California when you start with Honolulu.
I cant say I am well traveled by any means but I'm pretty certain I could go just about anywhere and find someone who has heard of Hatch green chile. From Hatch,NM. And as a New Mexican its really the only the only thing were known for 😅
I’m going to request that you start with Wawa, Pennsylvania. If starting with the home of Wally the Goose & the best gas station deli ever isn’t amusing enough, please try Intercourse, PA… ya know, for the giggles.
As the start of this video demonstrated, he has to be able to get the first couple rings. The second city starting from Duluth is 3531 people. I have heard of the one after that (pop 15,979), but I'm not sure I would have been able to pull it while taking the quiz.
@bjorkfan9290 LOL same, I am located in east county (not El Cajon) but that was interesting, I thought I was the only one who watched him in the area since no one in sd cares about geography but I'm glad there's more of us around here
Hope you enjoyed these attempts, thanks everyone for the suggestions!

If you get out of Hawaii after starting on Honolulu the circle magically grows bigger to get to the closest point in alaska

Seattle is a good starting point since it includes Alaska and Hawaii inside the circles over the rest of the 48 states
As a washingtonian, i approve of this message. No bias whatsoever...
Next time try starting from Gilboa, Ohio. Big Beef Cow representation matters
I was surprised I managed to get the first city on my first guess. After that, the next several are all quite large. I'm not sure it's a particularly interesting starting point, but it's an appropriate one.
15:48 I love how you can see an outline of the USA
Hatch New Mexico is the home of Hatch green chiles and the Hatch green chile festival
And New Mexico itself is the home of meth cooking

Go pack go
He was actually adding time throught. He just forgot to near the end. You can see at 12:53
Amen
@@aidenriveratime gets added automatically after certain amount of correct guesses
Start from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
Didn't expect Poway, CA to be mentioned. For the record the "Pow" in Poway is pronounced like when Batman punches one of Joker's henchmen
Yeah lol I live in SD area and it was funny hearing him say it like that 😂
Start in Utqiagvik, AK nextime.
You should start from Satan's Kingdom, Massachusetts. That has to be one of my favorite US town names.
hell michigan
satans kingdom is wild 😂😂
Satan's Kingdom and Hell are not incorporated, so they do not work for this quiz.
Ding dong Texas
In honor of it being today's Daily Washington Census Recognized Place, I must nominate Enumclaw, WA for the next starting point. 🐴
Uhhhhhhh@LilCamBoi
@LilCamBoiit's a long story
I’m glad you tried my suggestion, sorry it was so difficult 😂
Hey, he got further than I thought he would starting with Show Low. Holbrook has a population of 4858. Payson's is 16, 361. Safford's is 10,129.

3:19 Hatch, NM is where hatch chiles come from!

Bismarck, North Dakota maybe? I feel like starting center top of the map could be fun
I live by Coral Springs so I am very shocked to see it mentioned in one of these most populous city videos. I think the majority of the cities you tried for that circle are bigger than Coral Springs, so the circle must have just barely missed them.
I think it would be fun to start in San Diego as it would start you in a corner and you get a lot of cites in California.
Im surprised nobody suggested Circle, MT last time
I enjoyed so much, keep doing great work man!
Kent, Washington could be an interesting one
You should try Hartville,MO which is the center of the US population
WORCESTER MENTIONED WOOOOOOOO
You should start from Worcester as the heart of New England!
Umm....Hatch, NM, is where they grow the famous green chile peppers...
my hometown is joliet il, just south haha. I was hoping we would be in one of the circles but unfortunately i doubt that would happen with so many cities in chicagoland lol. keep up the good work my guy, go cubbies
Love this series!
Would be interested in the city furthest from a city of its same population in the bottom 48. I think El Paso would rank high in this list.
I've tried this out of Baton Rouge, LA and Rexburg, ID. There's some really odd answers that come up in those
Crazy, use to live in Columbus Georgia. Didn’t know it was that big.
0:13 I feel honored, kind of.
Kind of?
@@Ethyro The idea didn't get him very far.
Ketchikan, AK. Once you pass the other cities and towns in the Alaskan panhandle, you'll have a circle that reaches Washington.
Start where you lost is a good one: Barnstable, MA
6:40 Think about that: Dallas is closer to Illinois than it is to El Paso.
I liked the East-West coast back-and-forth. I think it would have been more interesting with Canada and Mexico included though.

My grandparents live in Coral Springs way to represent our great town
Start from Long Beach Washington, or Astoria Oregon
Next do seattle that will be interesting
If you try again, you should start on the east coast with DC or New York
I loved these kinds of videos so much that I had to click the button!! Let's go for 50k!!😊

For this one, it seemed like getting the small towns at the beginning was the really hard part
every thing after new York is New York until you reach Boston.
NEXT TIME DO THE NYC METROPOLITAN AREA
Wow, didn't think the cetnral valley cities could compete against the east coast, I'm suprised
Pamplin va a abandoned town in southern Virginia that should be somewhat hard
Do Decatur,Tennessee
Clearlake California
Just coming up with all those random town names!! My mind is boggled.

WAWA (my mom works for wawa)

start at enumclaw Washington
Hatch, NM is where the green chile is from!
Start in NYC!
Try Bottineau, ND
Try Yellowknife, NWT, good luck
Start in Fairbanks Alaska
Start in Neah Bay, Washington which I think is the northwestern most town in the contiguous US
starting from Portland, TX could lead to getting Portland, OR and Portland, ME in back to back rounds
I was wondering if he would have both Portlands in the same ring this game. I didn't know that Texas had one too.
