I have a vintage dark magenta Latico leather bag, it is discontinued and I bought it off of a second-hand website. The quality and the minimalist, chic, and timeless design are incredible. The dye does rub off on lighter fabrics, but the bag is over twenty years old. It's a very high quality top-grain leather, and I will continue to use it until it breaks!
Latico is great, from the east coast they make wonderful solid bags that will last a long time. I have a duffel bag that's probably 30 years old already and at one point it was even completely dehydrated drying out in a basement for years unused, yellow, and then once conditioned it came back to life in a vivid dark brown colour no problem.
Once again you have affirmed my long ago shopping choices.❤ My almost 30 year old Coach bag is still beautiful despite being used daily for all that time. And my three Latico totes, the large suburban in natural and black (I think it originally had a different name) as well as a slightly smaller one that had a hidden zippered shoe compartment at the bottom I can’t remember the name, all still function perfectly and look fabulous after more than a decade of use. I’m loving learning from you about leather on a deeper level. Next time I buy a bag I won’t have to second guess my instincts. Thank you for that!
Good to see such a Video, Latico is one of the more Affordable Leather Manufacturer's and if this is the Bianca Tote Crossbody than i whould definetley buy it.
Nice! They also sent me a bag to review, but mine was a woven washed leather, which I didn’t love. But the bag itself is crafted well and seems sturdy.
@@tanner.leatherstein that woven bag is a little unusual for them. I love that they use lighter weight leathers and classical styles. The bag, Darling, is one I would like to try. Of course I get my Hobo Bags on sale. I know they are much more reasonably priced than premium brands, but I am retired, so I have to look for great values.
I’m a woman who appreciates quality and good craftsmanship and I’ve never spent more that $300 on a bag of any kind. I’m considering a new Bostanten briefcase and would like your opinion on their quality and overall value. Thank you for these videos. For years I’ve been confused about women spending hard earned money on junk. Hopefully you are opening eyes to the madness!! 🙂
I really wish they would improve their straps… or at least give the customer the option of buying a nicer matching strap separately made of the same leather as the bag. I have 2 of their bags and the straps bother me on both despite actually liking the bags themselves.
Is the entire bag constructed of full grain leather? I purchased a bag in a different style but the same kind of leather and it didn't seem that way to me. And while I loved the smell and feel of the leather, the design just didn't hang right with my items in it so I had to return it.
Latico Leahter bags are the BEST. Highest quality full-grain leather at an accessible price. Functional bags, extensive interior organization AND they donate 10 meals to feeding america for each purchase made. Family run business out of NJ. And their bags are made in South America / India NOT CHINA!

I always pay attention to the difficulty in which it takes to destroy the bag. That tells me how long it will last before falling apart.
Not the best indicator. He is using tools that are not typical to come across under normal wear and tear conditions like a scalpel and acetone.
