Thank you so much brother for your videos. This is exactly the kind of hobby I was looking for as in my second month of retirement. Looking forward for more of your videos. Thanks again for sharing. God bless you brother. 🙏🏽
Always love your videos. Who makes your dies for the clicker press and how do you tell them what dimensions you want? Do you have to send them a CAD deawing? Also who makes you stamps? Same question, do you have to send them a CAD drawing?? Thanks
Hey Artie, I've been a big fan for a few years now. Started watching your videos and now I'm into making my own leather goods and I'm loving it. I see you like our bourbon. I'm a processor at Buffalo Trace Distillery and I work in Blantons Hall. I process Blantons on a daily basis along with all of our other single barrel bourbons. It kinda runs in the family as well. My daughter works at Woodford Reserve and my son in law works at Barton 1792 Distillery. Glad you are a fan of our bourbons! Cheers
I appreciate the work you do. As a fellow leather worker I have picked up on a few great process that has shown. I will be adding a little something to my coffee ….. seems to help. Hope you have an amazing New year!!
Always great to see another video! I agree 100% with your sentiments on the Easter eggs! Is there difference between the dye in the tube for the single edges and the dye in the jar for the stacked edges? Best wishes for 2024!
Hi from France! Really love your work and your videos! They are very very ispiring! I would love to go into leather wallets making...will have to watch more of your work to get the confidence to give it a try! Thanks and wishing you a very good and succesfull 2024!
Was wondering where you get your clicker dies made? I recently got into the hobby from your videos and really diving deep already. I'm ready to get a few dies made to make life easier.
@MasconLeather OK, thanks would really like one. Thanks for all your videos. It has inspired my love for leather work again after 30 years of absence from it. The day I watched your how to stitch video on saddle stitching it changed everything. Thanks again!
How do you make your designs? I tried making a wrap wallet initial design on paper and then made it with some scrap I had but found that my measurements from the paper over to the leather were off enough that nothing fit when I was done!
Make and remake. You’re halfway there. Now, make it bigger. Trial and error. After a few wallets you’ll be better at guessing lengths. Use cheap leather for prototypes
I just found your channel about 2 weeks ago and your style is just taking over my thought process on how and what I want to do.. thank you I have a question though.. you use "white mud" for the inside slicking.. WHAT is the "white mud"?
Hi, greetings and happy new year from Yorkshire England. I was fortunate enough to get some leather craft tools and stuff for this Christmas. Your site is totally inspiring because there's so much to learn. Love this card holder. It's different, with the rivets and not stitching. I'm looking forward to having a go at replicating it. Initially it will be the hard way, as some of the bigger tools are not part of the plan or budget yet, but the idea is wonderful, and manageable too. Keep up the great work. I'm inspired.
Your wallet looks awesome! I have a quick question; I hope you can answer it. I'm thinking of getting a personal stamp for wallet making. Should I go for a 1-inch size stamp, or would it be better to go bigger?
Great work as always. I apologize if you have answered this at some point. Would you mind telling me where/who makes your logos that you use to stamp into each of your leather projects?
Very cool wallet man. Does the heat gun help the barge to set up faster, or is it to reactivate it if you leave it too long and it dries? My can of weldwood contact cement says that if you leave it to dry for too long, you can reactivate it with a heat gun.
Out of curiosity, why do you dye and burnish the edges before you put it together? I ask because you then sanded, and then reburnished the edges again when it’s glued together. Just wondering
Curious Artie: the box of scraps - I’ve got one too, but I don’t know what to do with them. What do you do with your small scraps? Just loving the rivets-
Thank you very much for all your videos, they are my main reference, especially on how to organize and execute the work. Without you it would be much worse (and slower).
Always enjoy your videos Thanks for showing the Knipex - I've been wrestling with cutting rivets and was putting it down to being a female QAP. I've now ordered a pair. (Happy Xmas to me from me.)
Chloe looks so happy and so pissed at the same time chasing that whippersnapper around 😅 Great video as always. Your production quality, camera angles, and jokes are always the stuff of legend! Cant wait to see what you'll coom up for us in the new year. You're the man Artie! P.S. Are you using your clicker die with the blade up? Is there a specific reason for that? I've always seen others use them blade down.
Thanks !!! Yes. Blade up and that is 100% wrong. 😆 but I have special plates that will work that way. I do blade down on my plates too. I just don’t like messing up the red 1” thick poundo board from weaver.
Why do all the burnishing in the beginning and all your edges instead of just doing the edges that are exposed because in the end you burnish everything again? Why do it twice?
Your videos have single handedly made me try out leather work.
Awe ! Thanks !!
Can’t tell you how much you inspire me to do better on my work. Your style and presentation are perfection and love all your humor. All the best to you in 2024 and beyond. Thank you for all you do!

@MasconLeather how would you suggest going about doing curves without the jigs?
That intro is one of the best!

Much appreciated!

What is the tool you used to compress the leather when you glued it? Some form of pliers, but I can’t seem to find the right term to give Google 🤣
“Amy Roke” leather pliers. Kevin lee makes a pair as well.
Great to see another Mascon production. Best wishes for the coming New Year.

1” is a good sweet spot. Any larger and it would look good on most wallets. Be humble
@MasconLeather just bought a 1 inch stamp. Thank you

Good morning, l have a quick question, why do people use a hand held heat gun after applying glue? Does it help it stick better? Just curious. Thanks
Speeds up the time to tacky
@@MasconLeather thank you
Nice to see a new video, great info as always.I have questions on what size needle you use for 1mm thread, thanks
I can’t recall right off. But I explain it in my hand stitching video.

I only dye non glued edges first …. The part where I sanded and redyed was because glue was on the outside. I explained it in the video.
