Hi,just a question for you.If you have to take one case betewn this speck and reino shield MUD What case finally you take??Your opinión is so important for me!!!thanks
Wow, Roberto...that is a really hard question to answer. They are extremely different case systems. The MOD gives you option for camera lenses and potentially other modular options in future, while the Speck Presidio Ultra does not. It can also be both a bumper and a full case. And the MOD is considerably cheaper than the Presidio Ultra. The Presidio Ultra has a lot more grip than the MOD, even in its basic Presidio inner case form, and it comes with a holster. And with its Ultra Bumper on, it has more stated drop protection than the MOD, at 15 ft. So I think it really depends upon which features you are looking for. But back to your question: if I personally could only have one case, and I had to choose between the Ultra and the MOD and money was not a consideration, I think I would choose the Presidio Ultra because I personally prefer: 1) more grip; and 2) a full case to a bumper case. Both are great case systems, though!
I got this for the iPhone 8. will it give the protection which is needed day to day? will it protect the back glass from usual drops i mean when pulling out of the pocket and all? ( with the ultra bumper)
@@TheTechReviewer i previously had the speck candy shell grip for the iPhone 8 how is it by the way does it too give protection from day to day sudden drops? is the same as the presidio grip except from the matte and gloss finishes i mean.
Hi Kristin, Hope I am spelling your name correctly. My question to you is, can I remove the mute button on the ultra bumper?? I find it very difficult to operator. Thanks for your input.
Hi Camilynn. I'm not sure it can be removed easily. It shouldn't be giving you so much trouble to operate. Have you contacted Speck? They have an excellent warranty of these cases and may be able to help you...
Thank you! I love the fact that this is a 2 in 1 case--you only have to put on the bumper when you want that extra level of protection...otherwise you still have 10 ft of drop protection with your slim inner Presidio case.
As always great vids!! Any chance to review this for iphone x? In protection mode how thick is this compared to the tech 21 evo tactical extreme? Thanks.
Hi Jeff! I will be reviewing this for the iPhone X soon. I'm afraid I don't have my Evo Tactical Extreme with me at this point, so I can't really compare the two accurately. Also, it doesn't appear that Tech21 is making the Tactical Extreme for the X?
It provides quite a bit of protection, but 'save' is perhaps too strong of a word. It is not going to save the front or the back of your phone in all instances...but most of the time, it should keep it from getting damaged...
Does not work for 8+. Speck sent me a free Ultra for my 8+ after I had issues with my Speck Presidio Sport (Sleep/Wake/Power button constantly pressed in on mine and 3 units at nearby store). The knob on the Ultra for mute/sound cannot be turned at all. I again visited the store and confirmed this on additional units.
Hi Jeff. So sorry to hear you had issues with yours. It is a new model, and Speck may have manufacturing issues. I had no such issues with the 8+ Speck Presidio Ultra, but I may just have gotten lucky. I do know there are issues with the power button with some of the Speck Presidio Sport cases for the 8 Plus...but again, not with all of them. Speck sent me three samples for my Presidio Sport review and one was completely defective as far as the side button was concerned, one was perfectly fine, and one was fine after I manually pushed the case's side button in and out for a few minutes---I guess it loosened it up or something...
That's interesting that you say that the bumper is very grippy... I got this case a few days ago and i find that the bumper is kind of slippery. i have a hard time typing with it because it slips down in my hands while i'm typing. i'm sending it back just for this reason. total dealbreaker.
Hmm...are you talking about the inner Presidio case or the more protective version with the outer bumper attached? I completely agree with you on the inner case, but at least on the versions I reviewed, the outer bumper was very grippy...
That is really odd. I have several of this case, and all have very grippy outer bumpers. You might want to contact Speck and ask them if there is a possibility that you received a defective case?
Such a tough question! This is definitely one of them, though--love the ability to switch from super rugged to regular protective case with ease. And the holster is a nice touch as well :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment:)
Is this a ripoff of the otterbox defender case? lol, even though I prefer this one ,the edges are so smooth and the overall look is so nice and simple. It's not as boxy looking as the otterbox one
It is a great case, and the fact that you can strip down to the base Presidio case for a slim profile is awesome for those people who don't need a tough case on all the time...
What’s the screen protector you have on the black iPhone 7 Plus? that’s a beautiful protector!
Gosh, it has been too long! I don't remember :(

The Tech Reviewer Thanks for help to this Cuban, lol
I love my ultra. Got the black for my iPhone 8+
Outstanding!
Is it works in wireless charger?
Yes indeed!
Is this more rugged than the Otterbox Defender?
Hard to compare the two...they are really different...

I certainly think so. It is one of Speck’s toughest cases-it should handle everyday bumps ok...

Hi,justo a question that I phone case is for iPhone 7 Plus????
It will fit both the 8 Plus and the 7 Plus :)
The Tech Reviewer Hi,I have a question and I need YOUR personal opinion.Betewn this case and Rhino Shield MOD what would YOU talke it?????Thanks!!!
The Tech Reviewer ???
Great review! I bought a Speck Presidio Grip and used it in place of the standard Presidio as shown here. It works really well and grippy as can be!
Great idea! Good to know that it works well. I love the Presidio Grip :) Thanks for watching!
Nice review video. Actually Speck has some very nice cases that are not too thick but still offers some very good protection.
Thank you! I love the fact that this is a 2 in 1 case--you only have to put on the bumper when you want that extra level of protection...otherwise you still have 10 ft of drop protection with your slim inner Presidio case.
The Tech Reviewer Yeah I agree on that.
:)
can you review the lifeproof fre for iPhone 8 plus in wipeout?
I hope to have the chance to review the FRE for the 8 Plus, but haven't gotten any review samples yet...
Kindly review the same case for iPhone x
Thanks, Manhar. I have it and will be reviewing it very soon!

what a waste I have the evo tact xt and find it too thick. thinking of switching to this uktra for my 8 plus
How many prices cases
do it save the glass on the back of the phone

Does it work with an edge to edge screen protector?
I would strongly doubt it, but I haven't tried any with it. It is really designed for use with a case compatible screen protector...
The Tech Reviewer thanks I’ll give it a try.
Hope you like it!
watched your video today January 21,2020 and it was really good
Hey, thanks, Jennifer! So nice to hear!!
Great looking case and awesome review.
Thanks, James!!

No, I mean the outer bumper.
That is really odd. I have several of this case, and all have very grippy outer bumpers. You might want to contact Speck and ask them if there is a possibility that you received a defective case?
Can it fit iPhone 6s
It doesn't look like Speck makes a version for the 6s, sorry!
What is your fave case that you've reviewed?
Such a tough question! This is definitely one of them, though--love the ability to switch from super rugged to regular protective case with ease. And the holster is a nice touch as well :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment:)
The Tech Reviewer You’re welcome. :) I love the Otterbox and Lifeproof Nuud reviews - they’re my favourites.
Thanks :) Speck, LifeProof, and OtterBox are some of my very favorite brands. They always make top notch stuff :)
The Tech Reviewer They never fail to surprise me.

Just get an otterbox defender
Hope you are enjoying it!
My iPhone is 6s plus
Are you planning to upgrade?
The Tech Reviewer yeah
