The kid who owned the car before me installed larger injectors, and this is why you shouldn't if you don't know what you're doing! It annoys the shit out of me!

Man I feel your pain. I bought a truck that a guy was "fixing up". he changed the valve covers the gaskets the fuel rails put in a K and N cold air, and of course he decided he was going to put in larger fuel injectors. This truck now gets about 3 miles to the damn gallon if that much. I should have a catch bucket attached to the exhaust. I am no mechanic all I do is general maintenance on my vehicles but this guy literally went to a tech school for automobiles. Now, I get to fix it. One of the good things is that I actually got it for a song. After him replacing the whole front suspension the brakes the rotors steering linkages the fuel pump I mean all of this stuff is cherry new and putting Kenda Klever tires on it, it kept puffing smoke and blowing a fuse and when he put in his tuner and mounted it suddenly his alignment for the shift lever was off. he thought he had fried the Power distribution box under the hood and sold it to me. Turns out it was just the cruise control switch which I found myself using a little common sense by letting a 5 amp pop and going to look for the smoke. I removed the harness from the sensor and no more blown fuses. As for that shift alignment issue when he was putting in the tuner he broke one of the white retainers that hold that cable in place. I fixed that with two zip ties. I guess having to change the injectors back is not too bad on my end but damn if it is not annoying. How did he go to school for 2 years and all this elude him?

So rich you can practically siphon fuel from the exhaust. Free gas!

that problem is related to the iac, bridge the 2 wire plug that comes from the ecu and you will check that the code is 14, you need a new transistor and new iac in order to fix that idle problem

Yup, just keep running it... who wants that oil on their cylinder walls? Shavings always make the oil pretty on an oil change

After realizing the issue wasn't the injectors only, and actually gaining an understanding of what was going on, I took care of it. I was too late, though. Rebuilt the top end after I really fucked up a valve or two. ported and polished the head... Ran it for a few months and the bottom end started making some fantastic noise we all know and love. (Insert sarcasm here).

Hello! I have an Civic EJ9 1.4 90hp and installed a bigger intake (before 50mm now 60mm) and an H&k tuning air filter.
In theory it should get more air now.
That means, i could install slightly bigger fuel injectors to produce more power, fitting to the slightly bigger intake?
With an ECU reset the system should adjust to make it work, doesnt it?
    Im thankfull for your advice.

I have a stage 4 cam in my ls3 so its hard to notice an uneven idle is there any other way to know if my injectors are too big? I left the stock injectors in after the cam swap and my tuner says im at 130% injector but i dont really trust the guy

After any mod that effects the engine you will need a tune. For example if you get a new manifold for your turbo kit then you will need a tune,Even if you install a flat bed K&N a minor tune to the ECU is needed to actually benefit from it.
Me and a few friend built a ls3 into a older shell for drag racing/dig racing/roll racing and when it started with uneven Idle i got some electrical cleaning spray and sprayed the shit out of all the sensors (When they have corrosion the ECU doesn't know how to send out the right code and signals to make it work properly. So check your spark plugs/Sensors around the throttle body/Ignition coil and the wires leading to the spark plugs from the Ignition coil, If they are damaged or worn on the inside they won't give sufficient power to the engine therefore the spark inside won't be able to ignite the fuel at once with a weaker spark so that will end up with a idle above 1500 revs and up. Also when was the last time you changed the fuel filters? Those are important as hell since the fuel filter from the gas tank entry point is the last filtration your fuel system will get before it goes to your injectors and most of the times in modern cars they have a space open where the gas cap is for the "Breather" but in most cases that pulls dust into your fuel system so keep an eye on that. Do you do regular oil swap/oil filter swap/spark plugs/air filter?
How is the engine running now?
