Skrorg is pretty cool! I was hoping he wouldn’t have a negative trait since he was so classy. I like the star power too, he punches a guy to the floor, breaks his legs, then flexes at the crowd and they go wild! Very Showboaty.
Great work as always Ben. Awesome Star and nice to see the return of a semi affordable non negatrait Big Guy. Glad Snowpelt doesn't completely overshadow the other Big Guys in his price bracket, staying at Str5. Awesome model, great fluff. I still prefer Grashnak but no doubt Snowpelt is an awesome lad to have around.
At first I thought the power was a bit underwhelming, once per game, only for one drive... but thinking about it. You're getting a free reroll just as the other team lose a player for the rest of the match. You're not just removing opposition power, but also adding power to your own team at the same time. I think if this ability was every drive/half/casualty, it would be way overpowered in the "lets kill the other team"-way.
I saw this mini when they teased him and knew I wanted him. The whole "I can't hear you!" Dwane (the rock) Jonson pose from the late 90's early 00's just sealed it for me.
Hey, Ben thank you for this Video and each other Video, which u brought out during the last years. Meanwhile I get the Informations about blood bowl Updates over your channel, even before I see them on wh community. You are on point ;-) thanks And now I wish to you a happy easter Weekend.
To this spotlight: 250tv??? Gw, serious? If norse will be favoured of khorne, then this model has to complete with scyla. To my mind these are on the same lvl, but scyla costs 50tv less. How should these compete with each other? And looking at diffrent 8kd wirkt teams: these will take Zug for the same reasons. So what is snowpelt's benefit?
You know I think this would for been better for his Special Rule "Pump up the Crowd!: Once per half (or game), whenever Skrorg Pushes an opposing player off the Pitch, instead of making an Injury roll, that player goes imminently to the Casualty! box." It makes sense in story telling, as Skrorg has made the fans go into a roaring frenzy, because he is so close to them, but also it will make use and a reason why he has the Juggernaut skill.
Harry & the Hendersons was the name of the show. As to the character, I don't think the loss of Frenzy is that bad. I think Juggnernaut and Mighty Blow make up for the difference. That said, he is really pricey and I could see him not being the best choice in a lot of scenarios. But I still love having the option to take him.
Lol, well at least it gives you excuse to maybe run him in a match or two but given you don't get a Yeti in the box he's a perfect alternative model so win win there buddy.
He'll be a good removal piece for teams going up against high armour teams - could see him as an option over Deeproot for Halflings if you are going against Dwarves/Orcs for example, as he'll both give you a blitzer and a big guy who can move for a bit less inducement money. Out of the Norse release, Ivar is probably better pick up for most teams. But Skrorg has his place.
Ooh, just occurred to me. This guy's a lot better if you receive first. That way you won't gain a bonus RR on a turn 8 garbage block. Of course, you're more likely to take him against armor teams, so this is kind of a stacked incentive.
Not a fan of the model (I do not like the pixar look at at) but has some potential. Whether he's a better choice than zug or deeproot is debatable though.
150 of 1296 (Cas odds on ClawMB) reduces to 25 of 216, so there's a (216 - 25 = 191) of 216 chance not to Cas on the first knockdown. That's basically 8 of 9. 8 of 9 cubed (3 knockdowns) is 512 of 729, which anyone who's seen a few videos on music theory knows is basically 1 / √2. So you have to get 6 knockdowns to have a 50% chance to get a reroll. Not 6 blocks, 6 knockdowns.
I'll stick with Mighty Zug I think for humans - another big strength 5, no negatrait, safer with block, much more consistent once per game unique trait and doesn't need to rely on the blitz to get that added safety. Cheaper too.
How meh... If you got the re-roll for say remainder of half? I could see the appeal but that turn? Unless you can declare using his trait only when you need it (vs after removal) there is chance you remove a piece, get a free re-roll then not maybe even need it! I mean juggernaut means you want to use this star player for your blitzes for safety of no block/frenzy to help increase chance of removal but then that free re-roll would benefit more say a risky blitz from someone else (say an Ulf if your Norse). I dunno - he feels underwhelming and I'd much rather have seen return of Icepelt Hammerblow in all honesty. I guess the biggest positive is he's far less risky than your average Yeti with Juggernaut and no negatrait which ironically can mean under pressure Yeti's are loner waste a re-roll bait (yet here's one who might actually give you one free). I don't see myself using him so it's one model that will never grace my collection so I'll consider it money saved from a missed opportunity. Cool if silly model though, you can see they had fun with it.
Seems like GW screwed the pooch on this one. Sure claws & MB are great, but why would you take frenzy from him and then give him Juggernaut? That just doesn't make sense. Someone messed up. The model looks great though.

He looks like me in my late 20s! 🤣
Thank you for all your efforts in putting this together Ben 😊
I love the model. Going to use him as my standard yeti.

Big guy star players with no neg trait are so awesome.
I'll get this for painting at least
His ability is thematic but not completely filthy :)

St5 claw mighty blow no negatrait (apart from loner) yes please
I admit I ordered the model before checking the rules, I'll probably use it as the standard yhetee though
Lol, well at least it gives you excuse to maybe run him in a match or two but given you don't get a Yeti in the box he's a perfect alternative model so win win there buddy.
Where can i get these Starplayer?
Thsi model got be to buy the Norse team. He's freaking fabulous.
Thanks
To be fair you could buy this model and use it as either the star or a yeti.
Ah, interesting style. I think the hair thing is because vikings historically were very clean and took great care of their hair.

On the plus side, the reroll comes with a Casualty.
I think using this guy on humans might be a thing, reliable str5 blitz is something you might need. Not in every match though
I'll stick with Mighty Zug I think for humans - another big strength 5, no negatrait, safer with block, much more consistent once per game unique trait and doesn't need to rely on the blitz to get that added safety. Cheaper too.
he doesnt have a negatrait, which makes him better than scyla
I think this guy would fit great in a half king team. they lack the strength and they do need all the rerolls they can get!
Awesome model, crap special. Best pick for dodging the meta. Perfect

Needs frenzy
