Hi Brian, thanks for all your hard work helping us learn! Congratulations Bre! You have done an amazing job and made you and your parents dreams come true way to go lady.
Congrats Bre! I graduated nursing school some 20+ yrs ago. And went on to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Crazy how fast time flies! Good luck with boards and congrats again! Well done! 🎉❤
Congratulations Bree! What a great accomplishment! Brian i run 2 deeps then shake down , add excluder and 2 supers and original 2nd deep with emerging brood. Honey honey honey! Good luck!
Congratulations Bree! I have been a nurse for 19 years, never regret one minute of it! My son graduate with his undergraduate degree as well! That just means we are getting old!
That is awesome! I worked nursing for 13 years, now I train Epic, electronic medical records, to physicians and nurses. I think you are right, we're getting old.
@@CastleHives I wish we would upgrade to Epic! I work at a VA and we are working on transitioning to Cerner, not looking forward to that transition lol!
Congrats Bre!!! Brian you did a good thing there. Thanks for sharing. I must have missed what you were going to do the the one Queenless resource hive.
Thanks much. . I'm going to shake the laying worker colony out. I played around correcting one years ago, learned I never want to do that again. I'll shift the frames to others and let them enjoy the resources.
Congrats Brie!! I accidentally ended up with single brood chambers this year and the honey is BOOM! Everywhere! I think I’ll do single deeps from now on! I came out of winter with one double deep. Strong. Split them because I did not have anymore boxes. Got supers on each and they filled em up! On their second supers now. After several splits, I now have 8 hives in that yard :) I am expecting 80-100 lbs of honey from each hive this season :) Awesome vid as usual.
That is a great harvest from each. Honest, that is one of the reasons why I wanted to go with singles. Appreciate you watching and Bre says Thank you. .
@@honeygirlsapiary My name mentioned in the same sentence as those others, wow. . I appreciate the compliment. I have always tried to stay 100% transparent so that others could learn from what I do. I have done the same as you basically. Try, make a mistake or twelve, learn, move on.
Thank you. And great is an understatement. Honors, while being President of her Sorority, in Greek council, and working. She has goals, and nothing will get in the way. We are super proud of her.
Felicitations Brie! When my daughter graduated Chico State University California with a liberal arts degree and a summer of teaching pre preschool kids 4 yrs old she soon became a kindergarten teacher. She then got married, bought a new house, had a set of girl boy twins plus a second daughter to fill her husband's quiver to three and now is raising a happy family. Time goes by so fast Brian. Like smoke through a keyhole. Good luck with all your hives. Looks like you got them pretty much under control. 🐝
Awe, thank you so much. When we were preparing for her graduation, my wife and I went through a bunch of old pictures. Time does fly. She is getting married in August, so we'll have another milestone very soon. Time does go by fast, that is for sure. Appreciate you watching and the comment.
Thank you for showing how you are managing your apiary. I run a very similar plan. Have you had much swarming in your apiary? I did have a couple of mine swarm and 4 swarms come in from somewhere else. I went from 4 hives to 10 in 3 weeks😅
I told my husband when I started this journey 5 years ago, I wanted 2 hives. Then I said maybe 3 or 4 would be good. 😅 10 is more than enough for me...Oops I think I need to change that to 11 now, I still have to pick up the nuc I bought from Nature's Image Farm later this month😂 I wanted some new genetics in my apiary.
@@SortOfaBeekeeper Bee math gets tricky. LOL. . I said my comfort was 3 or 4, then 8. . And well, here we are. I think as you learn how to manage them, your ability to handle more increases of course. Time is my factor now. I can properly manage like 14 or 15.
I did not. It's going to get the old shake. It started raining right as I finished filming, so didn't have time to do it that day. I'll split the frames up through the Apiary, so no loss of resources.
Way to go girl, you have made your dad so proud of you. Much luck in life and with your own bee hives.
Thank you. .
