Wow, this actually worked for me, well done, the only difference was when you get to the point of it rebooted by itself, mines went straight to the Mint desktop and everything is fine, didn't get to go into advanced options and update the grub boot loader, gonna try and do it, but so far this worked like a charm, Thank you so much for this

Thank you very much, I installed ubuntu alongside windows and couldn't get either to boot up plus I couldn't get to the grub menu. Now ubuntu works but not windows. I'm very happy to make this much progress!
Thanks. In my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, after dual boot setup, by default was going into Windows. Was about to re-install Ubuntu but saw your video. Did the same steps. The grub bootloader selector is not coming but logging directly into Ubuntu. Need to press F12 at boot to select windows.

I tried this video, till 1:45, but my security option is different than yours, mine has only two options, administrator password, and power on password, nothing such as secure boot mode I can find. Yea my BIOS looked different as well, our options are just in different spots but it is doable, just follow these steps: 1. Security -> set admin password 2. Security -> secure boot -> enable 3. system -> boot -> add option -> name it "Ubuntu" -> select a file with the 3 dots ('...') as he mentions in this video 4. Exit 5. Enter BIOS again (using F2) 6. Security -> set admin password -> just type in current password and hit enter so it removes it entirely 7. Security -> secure boot -> disable 8. Exit and then you should be able to follow the steps exactly like this guy

Mine is unsuccessful with this method. After installing ubuntu in Windows 10 (Legacy) using the one from Microsoft Store, it says : "Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter". And the HDD is silent and undetected. Any tips, guys ?
I installed ubuntu a couple of days ago, and since it was really difficult for me , I wanted to go back to Windows. But when I try to install it with a USB stick , the PC boots straight back to Ubuntu. I've tried changing boot order on BIOS, but the same thing occurs. I tried deleting all the partitions but its the same problem. Tried formating them on NFTS or FAT32 mode but the problem still occurs. I tried changing the USB stick USB port and the iso file but the same thing. I changed the operating system from Win 7 to Win 10 also the same thing. Please help since it is the only Computer in my house.

For Hp users, after restarting we have to click F9, and we can see the pendrive name where we setup the Ubuntu 😊
