That glove is useful for painting and drawing as well. It keeps oils from transferring from your hands to the paper.

that’s a really neat drawing tool!! I remember when I first was interested in digital art, that the standard was to use like a wacom tablet, which were VERY expensive but much more similar to this veikk tablet than one with a screen. later I got an ipad to do digital art & it works pretty well! but it was a whole heck more expensive than this veikk tablet lol.
I mostly use traditional watercolor now, and my ipad helps me plan things like editing sketches or deciding on color placement for a larger piece. both digital and traditional art have so many unique possibilities that makes it worth it using both imo :)

*i have a small bamboo tablet which i have used form time to time and it is pretty neat...i still prefer a more hands on tactile approach to whatever art technique i utilize mostly because i find it more enjoyable to interact with a physical medium especially with the collage work that i do...but i can easily see the appeal that such a digital tablet would have especially on the go...might have to add this to my wishlist since i'm getting more involved with ai digital art so enhancing isolated areas of an image and texture layers or gradients would be very helpful...awesome review and exceptionally helpful as always*

*you're very welcome...i'm constantly experimenting and refining my techniques with collage and texturing with physical mediums...especially with distressing papers for collage...also like to dabble with bookbinding or rather taking existing off the shelf nondescript totally boring looking art journals and enhancing them using various elements to make them far more worthy of their eventual contents*@@PaintinHiding
OH im commenting a second time b/c I just remembered that there are some drawing programs that can mimic wet media, like watercolor, really well!! I tried one a few years ago, and it was already really astounding how it looked just like watercolor even tho it was digital, and im guessing it’s gotten even better too in the time that’s passed :P I wonder if there are any free or affordable programs like that, it could make a cool video comparing it to watercolor on paper!! i’m looking forward to seeing what you create digitally :D
oh yes, so the program KRITA that i mentioned in this vid and linked in the description is FREE and they come with 'watercolour brush' choices too. i just tried some of them last night and they're a close match to watercolour.

Unfortunately I don’t, sorry. Most rice papers aren’t sized though so I’m not sure those would be ideal for use with watercolour painting.
@@PaintinHiding Thank you for the reply. I saw an exhibition by a Korean artist , of paintings done on rice paper. Since I may visit Thailand this year, thought I could buy them.
@@girijal8853 I see. My local art stores in bangkok don’t even sell rice papers on the regular so it might be difficult for you to find in a physical shop if not by chance. I suggest contacting the customer service of your hotel to see if they can order some for you in advance so when u get there, it’ll be ready for you. You can browse on Shopee Thailand or Lazada Thailand.

Call me old-fashioned, but the future brush is the same brush we’ve always had. The end 😂. I much prefer a mobile device with a pen, then I can actually look at the same surface I’m drawing/writing on.

OK, wait. You mention having to "paint in hiding", but saying you have had to quickly throw something in a drawer? Why do you have to hide everything? Saying you have to toss everything in a drawer really quick makes it sound like a very serious offense, lol! And how are you able to make paint if you have to hide it? It takes a long time to make paint by hand! Have you already made a video explaining it?

hi amy :) i've seen you comment on a few videos now so i remember you :) first of all, no i haven't made a dedicated video explaining but if you go to my About tab, you can see a short snippet and get an idea. long story short, my loved ones disapprove of all things art/hobbies or anything that doesn't make income-worthy money. asian tiger parents type of vibe. it's not something i've explained in depth about but i've definitely openly talked about it here and there in various videos of this channel. maybe one day i'll make a video, but probably not any time soon as i'd rather share and discuss art. also, i have never mulled my own paint on this channel. you may be confusing me with a different channel which is absolutely fine, it happens. i honestly don't mind. i'm just grateful for your time in watching and engaging with my content. thank you :)
