I've never watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre but the idea of calling a mass murderer cutting people up with a chainsaw "some asshole" is hilarious to me.
He really is though, he and his family are just one single family of huge assholes in the middle of nowhere and the main cast are just unlucky enough to pass through their area.

The reason Leatherface is in this game is because Ed Boon was good friends with the guy who played him in the movies, and he had recently passed away. Ed Boon put him in the game as a homage to him. Before Leatherface, it was supposed to be the Terminator.
