I’ve been using the BoS Knight Underarmor with no mods and once I bought the SS (not that one) under armor and out shielded on it, I instantly was met with regret.
Minerva has the SS under armor and shielded lining, and I think she'll have both on her next big sale. The Raider shielded lining is a possible drop in the Mutated Party packs, and maybe some others. Also, the shielded lining for the marine wetsuit is available in an Enclave facility just south of Tanagra town, and the door code is available in the Military wing of the Whitespring bunker (on a terminal to the left as you enter, on the right hand side toward the front row). I'm sure there is a walk-through on YT showing how to get it, I just can't remember who published it.
@@susangass1487 I completed it on two characters, and frankly, I'm mot doing that tedious garbage again. Not everybody wants to waste their time on the same quest over and over, and this is a way to get some of those benefits without doing that.
The plan for shielded marine mod is available from doing Census Violence. I do the event every time I see it just so I can loot the plan to give to friends who do not have it. Apparently it is a rare drop.
On one char i have the protective and the shielded lining plan for raider underarmor, both not learned yet. I got them via mutated party packages so by opening them you can get the plans without learning the lower linings.
I'd like to add a few things. First, finding shielded casual underarmor might be a challenge for a new player, so humble vault suit with a shielded lining is a really ok option. It gives +2 to INT, which is just 1 point worse than casual underarmor and it can be a nice addition to your xp farming build. As well as INT buff, vault suit gives you +2 LCK. Is it a lot? That depends. Imagine that you lack just one point of LCK to get to that sweet number of 33 to make every second of your shots critical with Crtitcal Savvy. In this case, it's more important than +1 to INT. Second, finding shielded lining for vault suit is way, way easier than for casual underarmor. It might take you a lot of time to farm it from Queen of the Hunt, while shielded lining for vault suit is readily available. Stealth builds might be interested in adding Tattered dress on top of shielded raider underarmor. It gives +1 to PER, which is not much, but it's still a bonus.
It is kinda BS that you cant use under armor in PA, its kinda in the name that you use it UNDER YOUR ARMOR so surely it would theoretically work in power armor from a realism point, and I dont even think it would have any ballance issues either since the bonus is almost not even noticeable.
Obtaining the correct flux for the shielded lining upgrade took a bit of trial and error, learned that the mushrooms required can be found in a nuclear blast zone near cranberry bog area.
Months of grinding QotH & STILL no shielded flannel plan. Do I have to actually BUILD all the other ones first, or is just learning them enough (don't want to "waste" flux on something I'm gonna just skip over once I get the better one)?
For the BOS underarmor, how do we get Protective if we already completed Defiance Has Fallen before buying Resistant and Treated ? Queen of the hunt is bugged, I've been able to do only 2 of them in the last 8 days, even created a support ticket.
Have done the gold grind to get SS Underarmor/Armor set. Now I'm finding out I should have casual underarmor for the +3 Intelligence bonus. I'm not sure which one is "better". My character is already a tank. I've been slowly sacrificing damage and protection for carry weight and intelligence (for xp boost) ease of life vs kill & slash. Decisions!
I would love the secret service under armour, but the quest with meg glitched and stuck where johnny will not got through the door in the beginning of it😭😭💔
Been away since they added Season One and came back 3 weeks ago so slowly catching up. Again I fell foul of the must nuke zones to get X item upgraded. The base has no stats only once modded. I play solo and find nuking boring/frustrating at same time. Been away since they added season 1 and came back 3 weeks ago so slowly catching up. All plans for SS bought minus the useless helm, to find that the under armour lining mod requires nuked flowers...
Minerva is going to show up on foundation today so I will just grab the secret service underarmor from reg and get the shielded underarmor mod from minerva but does she sell the shielded underarmor for the same price as reg?
I wasted so many tech data’s thinking I had all of the previous ones because I had gotten the protective lining plan from the quest, only to realize I didn’t have the resistance one…. I’m so annoyed that was like 5 days worth of grinding tech data’s lol I was able to learn protective before resistance though, it was on my mod list, but I just didn’t have the flux part so I couldn’t create it. Which is why I thought I could get the shielded.
@@TheJiggsCasey - nope, not the underarmor, but the chest piece of the Secret Service armor can get the jetpack upgrade. Be quick, Minerva just offers the plan. 😉
For me the Vault Jumpsuit is the best because of the overall stats you get. I dont know for sure but i highly doubt that at endgame a DT of 10 would make that much of a difference. But anyway it all depends on the build you play. Nice vid though making the comparison.
I'm a PA build over eater X-01 cause I like the look of it Vampire duel fire saw and just annialate everything and never come close to dying. But I also have a full set of secret service under armor/armor it's not even rolled really good and if I'm just trying to chill and not wear PA it gets me threw most stuff with ease. If I had all my rolls id most likely be fine everywhere. Also shoukd prolly mention i run cola nut with the cola allie, chem resistant, and cranivore my shit stay buffed up lol. One thing I've learned once your deep in the game always have to many stems so I took off poison legend card and added a special card to get more damage out of my Tesla tagger and it's fine. If it's a mutated event with poison pools pop a stem ez money
@@MrWestTek awesome to hear! Hey, I just visited your camp and bought some 45 ammo. I recognize the backdrop. Haha. I was wondering if it was you or some impasta! Thank you 😆. I use a shielded vault suit btw. For the extra luck.
too bad they did nothing much with making underarmor choice interesting, pretty much everyone agrees with secret service one is basically best one as far I could see, except very specific situations where would not really hurt to have secret service anyway
Under armor is good, as it can provide more special stats, and some resistances as well. I suggest you start using it!
How though??

Most powerful: Secret Service Underarmor
Most Efficient: Casual Underarmor
Both with shielded mods

Just complete the main quest line and you can buy it in the vault everyday

I think shortening "secret service" is maybe not a good way of saying it

So when I go into my armour station there is no under armour crafting option
It was clear as mud, but I will go back with CC on and take notes. Thanks!!
I’m confused 😢
Is their 3 parts to secret service armour?
The actual armour, under armour and lining?????
Close. There's actual armour and underarmour. Linin is a mod that goes onto the underarmour.
Queen of the Hunt is an every 4 day quest, seems impossible to get the shielded lining for the Flannel.

Shielded Secret service for combat and the keep a second flannel underarms for sales
