My Irish paternal Grand mother had Romany ancestry and I have inherited her love for the natural world ,music and dance, also Roaming, coastal or inland there is beauty everywhere. Hi Collette👋🏻👋🏻 Off subject….. your shorter haircut is just adorable. I am a hairdresser from way back in the day and this is so youthful and playful for your features. It just lifts you up up up! I think I recall you wanting to go grey and that will be delightful as well. Either way….. it will be a good look. In fact the grey will be pretty too, with some nice lip color and an eye color. If you don’t like it…. You can always color again. But I think you will. I have very short pixie hair in my 70’s and love a head scarf look. Try it and see. Wrap it like a bandana around the head and tie in the back. Anyhoo… ya look so cute and I just wanted you to know.
I feel much the same of processed foods- my husband and I feel so much better when we consume our own garden grown fare- I only eat a small bit of chicken and salmon and my husband grills a steak now and again - I tend an herb garden and my husband tends the veggie garden- We are both in our mid sixties now with me a retired cardiac nurse and my John has his own business as a garage door and construction contractor - We’ve been blessed truly- with a few hard losses as we’ve journeyed this life together for over 30 years- I so have enjoyed watching your vlogs from here in Indiana- your gardens and outcroppings are indeed beautiful 🌿 My Grandfather is from England and my grandmother from Canada- My Father’s ancestry is Irish and Native American- my husband’s ancestry is Belgium/French, but we make it all work - you’re a joy and beloved TH-cam gal- love your vlogs that you share with the rest of the globe- All the best to you, friend

You sound so energized and full of life - watched tv yesterday, and on The One Show there was a wonderful lady, who was celebrating her 104th Birthday, and she was like a 70 year old I would say - just amazing to reach that age! My husband and I are in our mid 70's and are renovating our old house. We take longer to get things done, but we do get things done. I don't drink or smoke, but thank God for my prescription drugs that make it possible for me to help my husband in this endeavor. I also get accupuncture because I suffer from really bad fibromyalgia. The veranda looks lovely. Now you have a beautiful view after your hard work cutting down the bay tree. I, too, have a stack of magazines I want to read. Bless John Nettles for doing that work. I do like his acting in Midsummer Murders. I think I've seen all of the episodes multiple times. Enjoy.

Hello Colette. Just to say I often potter into the garden early in the morning in my dressing gown. I love the peace and the birdsong. What then happens is that quite often I see a few weeds that need pulling up or roses that need dead heading. And there I am a couple of hours later, still in my dressing gown, gardening. There’s something so therapeutic and healing about working in a garden x

A good place to live and a haven for nature. My half acre will soon grow over as I find it harder to keep up as the year's advance. I could not give up a beer on my patio with the flower's all around and the Bee's being busy. Enjoy every day in your space.
Oh! Midsomer Murders saved me. I was very sick for a few years. There may be a few years worth of episodes. I went through nearly all(except the most recent). Agatha Christie and Midsomer shows are the only ones where I could not guess the killer. The writing and acting are so good. Most people Ive ever talked about it look blankly back at me. Thanks for bringing him up! Who knows, didnt your neighbors get donkeys? Maybe there will be a reason for him to meander up you garden path. ; )

OOOh John Nettles......funny you should mention him because I drove down to the Mare and Foal sanctuary today with 5 bags of clothing which I cleared out. It's about 40 minutes drive from me but horses (as well as dogs and other animals) have always been a big part of my life so I make a point of taking things there. John is a patron of the Mare and Foal sanctuary, there is nothing better than watching the old Bergerac Colette, I am so with you there ❤🐎🐕

I agree 100% that whether you are plant based, omnivore or carnivore a whole foods diet is what will keep you the healthiest. I so admire your productivity in your beautiful gardens. My gardens need a lot of cutting back (I call it my jungle), but we have had so much rain here in the Midwest US that the mosquitoes are rampant and their stings are extremely painful this year so I can’t venture out as much as I need to.
The mosquitoes are even more dreadful than usual here, as well, and I live in Western Canada. Also, they are usually mostly gone by now, but instead they seem to be getting worse! Add this to the increasing risk of forest fires over the past week with the heat and life here isn’t looking so great this year. I used to live in Wichita during the late ‘70s, btw.
Age is just a number. I am 68 and still put in 12 hours a day as a college teacher. If you are blessed with health and maintain it well, you can just keep going.

I have to tell you dear Colette ,my husband and I started trying plant base eating twice a week about 5 month’s ago. we do 5 days a week and We feel great and with more energy .We love seafood so we still eat twice a week seafood. You look fantastic you give my husband and I such positive and peaceful aura.❤ Also I’ve lost 12pounds😊 You are such a joy to watch I feel Iam seating with a friend and having a nice cup of tea.😊

I think what keeps you young and healthy is having a project , like your beautiful woodland garden. I’m 76 but I love being outside in my garden or long walks out with my husband and my dog, also I totally agree about avoiding processed foods and eating as naturally as possible . So keeping busy eating right and being mentally stimulated is the right approach. It’s certainly working for you Collette ❤️

Ha ha, Colette, I had a big crush on him too. Yes I try hard to not eat processed foods. I do drink in the evening and on much medication for many ailments. At 69 I am not ready to sit down yet. I love being outside in my garden it is not as big as yours but a 1/4 acre keeps me busy. This is a great video.

I have to tell you dear Colette ,my husband and I started trying plant base eating twice a week about 5 month’s ago. we do 5 days a week and We feel great and with more energy .We love seafood so we still eat twice a week seafood. You look fantastic you give my husband and I such positive and peaceful aura.❤ Also I’ve lost 12pounds😊 You are such a joy to watch I feel Iam seating with a friend and having a nice cup of tea.😊

I think what keeps you young and healthy is having a project , like your beautiful woodland garden. I’m 76 but I love being outside in my garden or long walks out with my husband and my dog, also I totally agree about avoiding processed foods and eating as naturally as possible . So keeping busy eating right and being mentally stimulated is the right approach. It’s certainly working for you Collette ❤️
