To be a WORLD CLASS city..DBKL should upgrade all major road in around KL with better and modern walk pedestrian for safety and comfort especially for tourist walk around the city..
Indeed. Tourists walk a lot and they often complain about KL sidewalks. If I were DBKL I would prioritise certain areas to enhance the walking experience. For example between Pavilion and the new TRX mall, the sidewalks along Bukit Bintang and fix the areas around Dataran Merdeka with its broken tiles etc.
So true. I was wondering what the people in the Planning and Building Departments of DBKL actually do. Don’t they foresee these issues and learn a thing or two from their overseas trips? Must they only “wake up” after receiving public complaints? Kuala Lumpur has many beautiful high-rises and mega malls, but what needs to be done is to make the pedestrian walkways more conducive for the public.

I wonder why many projects in KL are taking too long to complete. The whole part of the first phase for KLCC project took only 5 years to complete from 1993 to 1998. 😁

since tower m isnt going to be build anytime soon, they need to utilize the space by making temporary public parks until they decide to finally go ahead the project, why because in my opinion, if they just let it be like this, it will be an eyesore for the tourists and locals especially when visiting KLCC, its not that hard i think to convert the place into a temporary structure/public park . KL lack of footpath, narrow and lot of its are cracked. Some walkway been blocked by motorbike. Not pedestrian friendly, with faded line zebra crossing.
