Something I do as this one single button. I hit airplane mode for most of the day. It turns off all notifications, WiFi, cellular and Bluetooth. I don’t use it in the car for car crash detection but when I get to work I’ll be at 98 percent. It is in airplane mode all day still tracking all health features. When I get home at 530 pm 8.5 hours later it is at 75 percent. Easy!

Great shear. Love the to stand notification as I was just about to design a seat timer so I can remember to get up. I can swipe from bottom to top and get a wifi and many more turn on/off option's. I use my AW6 always in Power Save Mode (+ Sleep Mode at night)- gives me all I need (vibrating notifications and wake up alarm) and it lastst more than 3 days…
Helpful and clear video. Most of the time I have a simple screen and swipe across to get to a more complex screen when needed. I only have apps on the watch that I use, and only use the pairing to my phone when i need (by default not). And all sensors except steps off. I get about 2.5 days with my Apple Watch 6.

Thanks for the great video. I follow all your instruction, and I found it useful some of the settings I never use, and I never really need it looking for another video about saving battery on the iPhone 👍🏻
This is good info... You pointed out a couple of battery savers that I had never thought about (particularly the complications data). However, it seems to me that you missed out the most important one: WiFi. So long as your iPhone is withing bluetooth range, WiFi is really useless. On one my old watches with an waning battery, the one simple change of turning off WiFi double my battery life. Instead of having it shut down for lack of battery in late afternoon, it was able to still have 40% left at bedtime. BUT... if you like to use your watch to unlock your Mac, then this feature won't work if you turn off WiFi.
I cant see optimised charge limit in that same place, even though i have a series 7. I'm told the machine learning takes a while for it to appear but ive had it for a month now, so is there something wrong? (I have watchOS 10.2 installed)
I have the Ultra 2 and I love it. However, the learining curve from apple devices is never the same. If you start with an older iPhone, the go to a newer one, there is a curve. Then when you go to an iPad, there is newer and bigger curve. Now when you go from the iPad to the Mac, the learning curve doubles (this is the same if you go from a PC to a Mac). Now I hve found that the curve to the Ultra2 watch is harder because there isn't a help screen to walk you through and even in the watch app, it is hard to find all the solutions EIther way, I love my Ultra2 and MacBookAIr M2 chip. Great technology! Love your videos.
Hi Dion, Thanks for your great videos. I assume that your other video titled " 18 Apple Watch Settings You NEED To Change Now" that shows a photo of the Ultra, but my question is whether that video covers the ultra 2 that I just purchased in Nov. 2023. Please confirm this. Thanks again.
If you don't want the app to consume battery in the background you have to turn off background refreshing. Watch complication only displays data from the app already running
The point isn’t just that, people also do this so they can not run through their battery health percentage as fast. Because when ur battery health percentage becomes low the watch starts becoming slow and soon enough very laggy and with problems. By disabling the features u don’t need or use, u can extend ur battery health much longer.

Hello Dion, I just got the Apple watch SE2 and it only would pair to my Iphone 11 if I updated to IOS17. So, I updated my phone to IOS17 but since then, I have noticed that my Iphone battery drains a lot faster, even though the batttery health and charging capacity is still at 100%. I have turned off many features on my watch and phone. Is it normal that the Iphone battery goes down faster when paired to a watch?
Hi Christine, there are two parts to it. It connects with your Iphone so it needs bluetooth which requires some battery (the last part of your question).
