So some interesting things here. - Glad to see Zinnia and Clair fight it out as true female dragon masters. - Not shocking that Clair and Riley faced each other as each had THREE Pseudo-legendries. It was an amazing battle right to the end. - Expected Wallace to do bad. - NOT expected Lusamine getting DESTROYED round 1 as she won the Rocket cup (not having her ace really hurt her). - Never seen SO MANY misses in my life. Marshall missing 3-4 times in a row and Clair having her setup only having hurricane missing ALL THE TIME (why not use a different move).
Man, I really thought Lusamine would have a good chance at winning, but that Hydro Pump killed the entire game... Also, this tournament is making me enjoy characters I barely knew, Riley is amazing and that Final battle was on par with the last one for sure, hope the next ones don't dissapoint either. Also Zinnia vs Marshal was very sad to watch. RNG was absolute chaos this block. Fun fact: There were 3 Altarias, 3 Lucarios, 3 Machamps and 4 Salamences in this single block. Wow. Just wow. Also multiple pairs (Gyarados, Arcanine, Weavile, Whiscash... etc).
Yes! My pick won! Those Stat Trainers (Riley, Cheryl, etc.) are tricky cause their teams could be pretty damn good or average. Loved that last match! Clair was getting up there for sure if some luck went her way. Considering bulky mons have been some of the best, thought Lusamine would have made it further.
We should have all know that only the OG lucario user should stand above all the other 3 lucario users. It was really great to see Riley win, he is a character that has always lived rent-free in my mind from when i was a kid and played platinum. A minor character but I always loved his design and the side quest.
I wondered why Riley’s Absol wasn’t getting any crits, and I just looked up his team on Bulbapedia and saw that his Absol has Pressure, not Super Luck. I’m guessing it’s the same here? That’s unfortunate for him, but cool that he managed to win despite that.
Marshall really missed a Stone Edge into activating Focus Band to survive into missing another Stone Edge into dodging an Air Slash into missing yet another Stone Edge into dying. That's not the real Marshall. The Marshall I know gets back to back Stone Edge crits and ends my nuzlocke of Black by killing all my Hydreigon answers. That was earlier today so I have a right to be salty.
Clair got robbed so hard 😭... 3 Hurricane misses and a flinch from Rock slide cost her the game. Literally one of those things not happening would have meant she would've won. It's too bad, because out of this whole block she's definitely the one who has given me the most grief trying to beat in game. Also this tournament explains why everyone considers Steven to be Hoenn champ, not Wallace despite him being champ in the more definitive game lmao. Glad we get to see a fresh face in the top 16, even if it's someone I'm ambivalent about and that will probably lose to Blue.
The real reason Wallace lost was because Clair had her PWT team, but Wallace didn't; he was using his ORAS rematch team and movesets. Otherwise, with life orb ice beam Starmie and a Walrein, how could he have lost to a Dragon Specialist? In PWT, he runs rain dance instead of fake out on his Ludicolo, another hard nut for Claire to crack. Also, as someone who has battled multiple times in PWT, I'd say, Wallace is one of the most troublesome trainers in the B2 champions tournament (stops Volcarona easily, scald almost always cripples most of my physical attackers and special tanks to take on Latios and Volcarona hand-to-hand). Put some respect on his name!
Clair got multiple crits on Riley's pokemon. While they weren't as impactful as the hurricane misses, they still show that the luck wasn't so one-sided there
Man everyone else is so lucky Mysterial doesn't get his final team lol Would love to see a 'no limits' tournament at some point where everyone just brings the most broken version of their team
Dang, I thought my main girl Jasmine would match-up better again Larry's flying types. Two of my favorite Gym leaders lost in the same exact position in the bracket. why didn't lusamine have nihilego
Clair could have one if she used anything, other than hurricane.
This whole group just showed that no matter how many bullshit new types Gamefreak invents to try to nerf them, dragon pokemons will remain the strongest
19:40 Name Song
Why was AI Clair using Hurricane on Lucario repeatedly with Fire Blast in the move pool?
I was wondering the same thing...
There were four Lucarios in this block
hey @pokeDad i have an idea for a tournament you can do one day maybe reach out to all the poketubers have them submit teams to you and do POKETUBER tournament :D
anyone know the song playing when Marshal and Zinnia are fighting?
I want to say it's lusamines theme
Gladion's theme
Love my man larry made it in top 64
I’m really sad about Gorigan. I was really pulling for him to win the block.
Clair could have won if Hurricane just fucking hit Lucario...
I was completely wrong about Lusamine. I thought her team would preform better but she was taken out with almost no issues by Riley. Next block I think Drake will take it.
She lost to Korrina, which is way worse than losing to Riley.
@@shawnaustin1037 yeah you are right.
Gorigon really just har an intimidate team '_' special attack...anybody? Yea special attacks are wh6 intimidate focused teams aren't used anymore might want to catch up with the times Gorigon especially before entering a tournament (yes i know he canr hear me or take tips im just mocking him for the sake of it :))
Well now I see why Clair's so salty and won't give you the damn badge. lol
Those Hurricane misses were bull shit.
On top of dodging 3 Hurricanes, a Lucario dodged 2 Hydro Pumps twice. Nerf this Pokemon's plot armor.
Can we get an F in the comments for Illima for facing brawly
F
Yeahhhhhhhh Reilly!!!!🎉🎉🎉
YASSS!!! I love Riley!
Proof that absol is the best Pokémon TH-camr
You'd be forgiven for thinking you were watching a furry convention with all the lucario's walking around 🐺🦊🦝🐻😽
