That double Protect from Atticus was insane. Disappointed my Girl Whitney couldn't squeeze out the win at the end to make it to the final against Blue, but she played well.
She was the closest anyone got to taking down Miror B which is a feat in and of itself. And honestly, I think Miror B had a better chance of beating Blue than Whitney. I just don't think she had anything to deal with the Machamp that has been carrying Blue's team. Machamp and Alakazam are the biggest threats, behind a Gyarados but it needs a Dragon Dance or two in order to really be a threat. Machamp's Dynamicpunch Confusion cheese has literally won him at least two matches. Or made them far easier than they had to be. I hope his luck runs out soon.
@@opac4515 Machamp would hammer her, although she could wear it down with fake outs and potential switch ins. That still leaves Ttar, Alakazam, Arcanine, and Gyrados though. I always used to scoff at Gyrados as a kid because of the double electric weakness, but when I started getting into competitive Pokemon then I received a Magikarp on wonder trade that changed my opinion. I almost sent it back then realized that it was Level 1 with a hidden ability and thus a likely reject of a person breeding them and thus would have good IVs. I also learned that Dragon Dance Moxie-dos will destroy an entire team if it gets a single chance to set up. It won me a New 3DS.

Damn, Atticus vs Wake was super close. That second Bunker not failing was the only decider. Wish my favorite Water type specialist could have made it to the next round, but he had a good showing.
I was laughing at the fact that Colress’ theme came after he was defeated. Blue winning the bracket was not a surprise but still nice. Big props for Atticus who managed to get farther than I though. With this and Roxie from the first one, if you go mono-typed, go poison.
In my opinion Atticus threw the game. They NEEDED Skuntank for Alakazam. It was their best counter to a speedy psychic sweeper and they sacked it right at the beginning to Gyarados. They should have swapped to Toxapex or something. But loosing Skuntank literally right at the beginning of the match meant they sealed their loss.
Blue having Multiple Intimidate Mons and lots of bulk is really helping him out on his run. That, and with his type diversity and coverage, he's really good with the switch AI. Only thing he might struggle against is a dragon specialist, since he doesn't have much on his team good against dragon.
He has defeated Iris before, so it's not like he struggles against Dragon. But I just noticed something. The type I think he doesn't fare well against is fairy, but that's not his fault because his team was made before fairy types existed. Still, none of his Pokémon have either steel or poison, which is a huge Achilles Heel. Thank Goodness not many teams have multiple fairy type Pokémon, otherwise an unaware physically bulky Clefable with leftovers and moonlight can destroy through half of his team (Tyranitar, Gyarados and Machamp).
Man, I was hoping for Whitney to win that last match of hers, but all in all that was a remarkable set of battles! Atticus and Whitney did super well, which is fun since I like those trainers quite a bit.

As I expected, Blue made it to the finals. Glad to see Miror B. make it to the match against him. He is one of my favorites and had a pretty interesting duo weather strategy with Ludicolo and Shiftry. Also, I absolutely loved the block preview detailing all the trainers and the corresponding clips. Especially as it can help viewers who aren't familiar with all of the trainers. Great job! :)
Honestly at the beginning the Miss Fortune sisters were making very smart moves/switches to counter what Blue threw at her. The only problem was Blue just outmuscled them at the end.
SPOILERS ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I am surprised how well Whitney did. I never expected her to get past Serena. Atticus surprised me too. But I keep forgetting Poison types got way better as time went on. And honestly, Mirror B only did so well because of his Dragonite. But of course Blue wins. Because Blue is absurdly powerful.
Blue speedrun, champion theme played and you're already dead. For B block, I'll go with Lusamine. Wallace should never be a champion, not with a monotype team
Comments for each battle: ROUND 1 Yeah, I feel like Blue had that pretty comfortably. His variety was too much. The weather battle between T-Tar and Abomasnow was hilarious, though. Oh WOW, Hugh just had her number, no questions asked. Jesus, Atticus. That Toxapex was brutal to poor Larry. A Water leader vs a Ground expert? Yikes... Bad luck. Damn, that Roserade almost clutched it. Giga Drain is a hell of a move. God, Serena's team is trash. Whitney didn't even need Ursaring or Miltank. That ONE D-Dance sealed the deal. She stood a better chance if she just kept the Crobat out and started hammering on the Dragonite. God, Colress made that look almost easy. That Beheeyem cleaned house. ROUND 2 Okay, DAMN. Not gonna lie, my money was on Hugh for this one, but that damned (Scarfed? Sure as hell felt faster than a regular-) Machamp bulldozed half his team. Good on you, Blue. Oh my god that double protect was *H U G E*, Atticus proving scum tactics can still get you there. Not in my most optimistic universe did I have the NORMAL TYPE expert winning out over the ROCK TYPE expert in such decisive fashion. That Blissey was a damn menace. God, I'm no expert, but I feel like Colress played that rather poorly. That felt super winnable for him, especially with Metagross in his pocket. ROUND 3 Blue puts Atticus down in *commanding* fashion. That second D-Dance when Toxapex came out also just *felt* like Blue; such an excellent read on his opponent. Playing Colress' theme in a battle he would have dominated had he won his prior match? Just rude, algorithm. Yeah, not surprised Whitney lost here, but damn, did she take him to his limits. I thought for sure Dragonite just needed a chance to set up and it would dominate, but she REALLY gave him hell. BLOCK 1 FINALS That crit Take Down on Gyarados was Miror B's last chance at victory, but Blue is just that good. Good on you, Blue. Guess he'll smell us later at the finals.
I feel like WHITNEY should have Stantler -> evolved. This make more sense as a normal Johto mon than Lopunny. Not that it matters much. I just love Stantler and she’s the best fit for him
Eviolite Stantler setting up Trick Room and then Farigiraf or Wyrdeer try and one-shot the Machamp with a Psychic type attack might be her only way to beat Blue. But I agree, Eviolite Trick Room Stantler would give her team a MASSIVE utility boost.
The teams are mostly based on pokémon the characters have actually used in the games or anime. This includes movesets, if i recall correctly. Whitney did use this Lopunny in the PWT in Black/White 2 type expert tournament. She has once used a Stantler in pokémon stadium 2, but its moveset was Take Down, Headbutt, Psychic and Swift with an ice berry, so Lopunny was the better choice overall.
The trainer with the most balanced team wins while mono-types with no coverage are soundly defeated. What a shock. Looking forward to seeing my fave Jasmine next time!
Idk what tournament you are watching, but I would NEVER say Whitney was "soundly defeated". Even Atticus did extremely well, and honestly could have beat blue if the AI played better. Sacking his only dark type pokemon to Gyarados at the beginning of the match was what cemented the L for them. Plus in a previous tourney, Roxie the mono-poison only lost because she faced Cynthia. Stop hating on mono-types. They can be good if played well, but with AI sometimes mistakes happen.
@opac4515 I'm not hating on mono-types. I think you're taking it a little too personal. It was a fun video and there's a lot of tournament to go. Chill.

Hey poke dad love the videos just a suggestion if your willing to hear it how about you have a now playing bar for the themes that are on just a suggestion
I have a question after watching the first video of this series, like, why does Wake have dragon breath on his Gyarados if he's using his BDSP rematch team? The Gyarados set he uses in the rematch is Dragon Dance, Aqua Tail, Earthquake and Stone Edge along with a Wacan Berry, which is almost similar to the set Blue used in this tournament. Solid opening otherwise. My favourite participant was probably Atticus because poison is my favourite type. That Toxapex was absolutely insane, and he threw by going for baneful bunker over merciless boosted double damage venoshock on Gyarados. Otherwise, I really thought Atticus might actually give Blue some issues. Also, can we appreciate that his Dragalge took a specs boosted psychic from an ALAKAZAM of all things?
Your AI has some major flaws considering ludicolo didn’t use hydro pump till after the rain went away when it should’ve been the move he was clicking the whole time and politoed using ice beam was also brutal no way it doesn’t have a water move
I've watched all the videos to date and I think the AI makes the best move in like 85% of the matches. But it is AI, sometimes it doesn't make the best call given the context, even if it thinks it is the best call objectively.
Looking at the bracket, that would require the final battle being Blue vs Cynthia again. I honestly hope that doesn't happen because we already did that in the champion tournament
Yeah I wish I could, like I mention in the preview video - just doesn't fit for me right now with work commitments. I really hope to in the future. But I will do a highlight supercut with commentary at the end
@@pokedad23 I don't really agree. I don't think it would make the videos worse per say, but I don't think they would really add anything significant. As evident by the comments, people are obviously getting hyped about the matches and results as it is. Adding commentary would be a little "much" for me, and I would honestly end up muting the video. I enjoy just watching the battle play out, and having my own thoughts and commentary while listening to the music. Sure that means you can't "turn away and let it play" like some TH-cam videos or competitive Pokemon vids, but that's not what this is. If you were to add commentary, that would SEVERLY slow down the pace of battles, and I don't think you should slow down the matches at all. They run at a good pace already and when things get close, woo nelly it gets intense.

It’s finally here! So excited!!
The Atticus wake fight was crazy
Damn it, I was hoping for Blue to lose the first round. It would have been funny.
Would have been nice to be able to say “Smell ya later” to him, lol.
Honestly at the beginning the Miss Fortune sisters were making very smart moves/switches to counter what Blue threw at her. The only problem was Blue just outmuscled them at the end.
Impressive How Whitney made it to Round 3 without using her Notorious Miltank.
Rest in pieces Hugh, robbed once again
Blue seems like he's got a better AI or something damn.
Larry my love please stop attacking that baneful bunker
SPOILERS
Wow Atticus' win agains Wake was incredible, the double Baneful Bunker to live the next hit at 2%
Olivia pulling off the upset of the century 😮
Bro, Mirror B was fighting like a champion against Blue. Give this guy his own region…again! Lol
Jupiter has let me the heck down!
Didn't have any doubt about the winner
Miror B was so close, man

I am surprised how well Whitney did. I never expected her to get past Serena. Atticus surprised me too. But I keep forgetting Poison types got way better as time went on. And honestly, Mirror B only did so well because of his Dragonite.
But of course Blue wins. Because Blue is absurdly powerful.
Blue speedrun, champion theme played and you're already dead.
For B block, I'll go with Lusamine. Wallace should never be a champion, not with a monotype team
never not gonna be miffed at rika immediately being knocked out because she was matched against wake
Man this is the second time Rika's had to fight Crasher Wake in one of your tourneys. Good luck to her.
Actually it was Kofu, the other round, elderly water trainer.
Maybe Rika’s gonna have a Team Magma villain arc one day because of all of these Water-types, lol...
@@autumnphillips151 The idea of her with a Groudon is so damn cool.
toxapex is so insane
miror b got to the final round and got taken out by his own confusion
If Mirror B got that raind dance off, it might've been over for blue 😮
dang Blue preformed real well, good vid
My girl Whitney did her best and came far. Normal types are nothing to Scoff at but that damn Dragonite was too much for poor ursaring to handle
she could won if she used return, but i think the ai doesnt know when a pokemon uses the tera or just doesnt know that the tera boosts the moves
Where did you get the full teams for the team star members? I don't think you can rematch them.
You can rematch the team star members in the postgame
If the theme playing for crasher wake vs atticus is the actual bdsp trainer theme im going to fucking cry, what was that, they butchered it
Even if it was against the rules, Miror B not having five Ludicolo was a crime
Miror B's Dragonite woke up and chose violence
Man how fast is Blue's Machamp? Also what is he doing to make Machamp's Dynamic punch hit all the time?
It has No Guard and is holding a Choice Scarf
@@pokedad23 I didn't read the No guard. Used to Guts. Thx

Comments for each battle:
ROUND 1
Yeah, I feel like Blue had that pretty comfortably.
ROUND 2
Okay, DAMN.
ROUND 3
Blue puts Atticus down in *commanding* fashion.
BLOCK 1 FINALS
That crit Take Down on Gyarados was Miror B's last chance at victory, but Blue is just that good. Good on you, Blue.
Guess he'll smell us later at the finals.
Atticus was really hype in this tourney
First part and already my prediction is way off. At least Miror B did as good as I expected...
favorite series on youtube I commentate while we make dinner
I love this
I feel like WHITNEY should have Stantler -> evolved.
Hey, I just was wondering, what is the AI you use? I want to do something similar to this series.
Why did you not give colress some of his alola pokemon, like alola muk?
Porygon 2 with eviolite would also be strong.
Whitney finally got her comupance
I hope there is a future one with battle frontier and all gimmicks
Chill.
@@LightOfZeonYou're the one that brought out the shade first hon, don't go backpaddling because you got called out. I've been enjoying this series from the get go mono-types and all.
33:06 was Dragonite really the switch? Ludicolo/Exploud looked way better to sack but I get it if the thought process was that it dealt better with t-tar and arcanine (and that d-nite loses to rock move machamp+t-tar/gyrados), but Idk id sack Ludicolo/exploud, still an awesome battle and really cool that Mirror B made it so far
Hey poke dad love the videos just a suggestion if your willing to hear it how about you have a now playing bar for the themes that are on just a suggestion
I can look into something like that for Block 3 and beyond 🤠
It's a keying error, should be d-dance.
You should try and figure out how to recreate the radical red battle ai for these because that ai is amazing
... Larry kept running into a wall. Like I know it's ai and all, but still
Man i like this series so muchhhh
Shouldn't Jupiter's Bronzong be Tera Poison, since the rest of her team were mono-poison?
I wish I knew the song that played at 13:15
I think that's the gen 3 battle frontier theme
@-AvocadoMan- thank you!
But it is AI, sometimes it doesn't make the best call given the context, even if it thinks it is the best call objectively.
im literally already so mad Larry lost round 1, it's bs.....
Blue should have Blastoise
Omg larry and mallow out so fast
these videos are just so wild cool
SPOILERS
Knowing Blue won this Block, I wonder if he and Cynthia will see each other again in the finals to finally settle their 1-1 score
Looking at the bracket, that would require the final battle being Blue vs Cynthia again. I honestly hope that doesn't happen because we already did that in the champion tournament
Videos would definitely be better with commentary over the battles themselves, or even just after battle comments.
Just wondering, why did crasher wake's gyarados have dragon breath? It never has dragon breath in any of the battles you can have against him.
That'll be a keying error
Nooo Whitney lost.
23:22 Name Please tell me
Spoilers:
My runner up is still in contention (I picked Blue to face Volo in the Finals).
Yeah! Go Blue! Tbh Blue and Mirror B were my 2 favs here, so i was ok with either one winning
Let's go Blue!
Man I'm really hoping Blue wins the whole thing.
So proud of Miror B 🥲
