That was like the finale of an Anime. An unstoppable monster enemy that is sure to win vs. the unlikely protagonist. I audibly gasped when I saw Roaring Moon go down.
I did not expect it to happen, but I forgot Tera doubles your STAB boost if it's a type you already are. That Tera definitely pushed Garchomp over the edge into being able to beat Roaring Moon.
I really do not know if that had anything to do with it lol it super effective and garchomp has great attack vs roaring moons bad defense. What mattered was the thunder wave allowing him to outspeed.@@perrycarters3113
I do remember him as a sweetie (unlike Blue). It’s a pretty nice story how he started out as sickly but was eventually able to go on his journey and make it all the way to Victory Road.
@@notscorchingsands9718 I bet Cynthia could’ve done it by having Spiritomb burn Azu. Or her Roserade could’ve just KO’d it without any tricks, because it resists both Water and Fairy and Azu would be weak to all of Roserade’s STAB moves. Yeah, actually, I’m sure Roserade could’ve beaten Azu easily. And it should’ve been Cynthia in the final against Wally.
What an upset! Some great plays in the Grand finals from our champion. Thanks for putting this project together, Pokédad! Also the cameo from Pokéchild was adorable.
@@pokedad23 Like I said, Lance was the true Indigo Plateau Champion. In fact, the Johto Champion theme in Pokemon Black and White 2 is World Champion tier. Blue became Champion just to overshadow Red only to end up in Red's shadow at the end of the the day. While all the other Gamecube and or Wii exclusive trainers were bland as boring, Somek wasn't that bad. Kamado did great for what he got, but it was time for Somek to move on into the future. Make no mistake, Cynthia was a powerful champion, but raw power were just numbers and AI Sada knew that well. Somek didn't do that bad, but AI Sada was just to much for him to handle. Not only that, he got outplayed by Lance. Lance was a Dragon Master and for good reason. Even when Wally outsmarted Lance, Lance was a great Champion and true Indigo Plateau champion. AI Sada was a great opponent, but like humans, they all made mistakes. Wally took advantage of that. Slowing down Roaring Moon, while sacrificing Roserade in the process, it's no wonder Wally became World Tour Champion. Every video game trainer gave it their all, but this time, it was Wally's time to shine. How did Wally replace Gardevoir? Iono! Wally wins.
@@autumnphillips151That would be a good fight. I want to say Cynthia would win, but I think Azumarill, paralysis and Talonflame's speed could put Wally on top. I would be rooting for him too.
@@moonjelly5 I think Wally's team has just enough coverage to get through Cynthia, but I think if you simulated the battle a hundred times, you'd probably end up with a 5-10% differential in who wins. I think it would be *that* close.
@@perrycarters3113 As in this tournament, Azumarill and Magnezone will be the difference makers for him. Her Roserade is better than his. Talonflame is better than Togekiss due to speed and typing (about everything on Wally's team out speeds it and can threaten it). Spiritomb and Gallade are relative dead weight that slightly check a few Pokemon (Talonflame (due solely to recoil), and Garchomp (via burn) for tomb; Roserade and Lucario for Gallade). Milotic and Magnezone are the bulky status spreaders, Milotic has longevity, but Magnezone has more power and type coverage. Lucario and Azumarill are monsters that can threaten most of both teams and will take multiple hits to kill (though both have a status weakness (Paralysis for Lucario, Burn for Azumarill) that could be exploited. The Garchomps are equal, just different builds (Cynthia's is the game ending sweeper, Wally's is a rough skin tank). This match would be close. After thinking on it for a while, I think I would give the edge to Wally. I think his team has more ways to win than hers (she pretty much needs Lucario and/or Garchomp to sweep opponents), has priority to deal key chip damage, and there is not a single Pokemon on her team that wants to switch into Azumarill (Roserade is physically frail and can't take multiple hits).
Also the thing is, in the first tournament, Cynthia kind of usually lost her first match or a match, then came back win it 2 out of 3. It do be like that sometimes.
Can’t believe Wally went from the biggest wimps into a suitable rival into the best trainer in the world. What a character arc, that last battle was intense.
I've enjoyed watching the entire tournament. I'd argue the final match was even more thrilling than the masters 8 in Journeys! Thank you for everything and best regards from Norway
Cynthia should have beaten Sada! Those crits and that miss were ridiculous. But little Wally avenged her, lol-I wasn’t expecting that! Ruby was my first game, so this is kind of a bittersweet moment... Funnily, I did this little game yesterday for “your assigned Pokémon” (add your age to the day you were born, then multiply that number by the month you were born to get the Pokédex number), and I got Ralts, so I laughed and said “I guess I’m Wally”. I’m happier about that now, lol.
Wally really does epitomize the underdog story, I'd be amazed if anyone actually predicted this. I was kinda rooting for Sada's stacked paradox team but in a way she WAS the villain, especially seeing as she took down the reigning champ. Kinda beautiful to see the same Roaring Moon that felled Cynthia's Garchomp be outmaneuvered by Wally's own Garchomp, funny how computer tournaments can spawn their own storylines in a way! Kinda reminds me of those CPUCS videos from when Smash Ultimate was fresh.
Definitely my favourite video series from you, such a perfect way to end the tournament. Also that small section at the end with the budew was sooo adorable 😭
I am so surprised and happy that Wally won!!!! I thought after beating Cynthia that AI Sada had a clean path and I have never been so happy to be wrong. Enjoy your break Pokedad. Can't wait to see what comes next.
That last battle was intense. I was not expecting them to win but it's honestly really fitting lol. Looking forward to seeing what you have for us when you come back.
Now that the World Tour is pretty much over now, there's a couple things I want to say (which I didn't in a previous comment of mine). To start off, words cannot even begin to describe how much of an excitement it was to watch the World Tour. Never before had I been as mentally and emotionally invested in a Pokemon tournament as I have with this one. The concept of familiar trainers across all the core series games and even the spinoffs going up against each other to see who ended up in the Final 16 was an absolute marvel to behold. There was no shortage of upsets or excitement watching trainers best each other and advance throughout the tournament. It reminds me of when I tried to simulate tournaments myself with gym leaders and elite four members but instead of using an AI on Pokemon Showdown, I conducted the battles myself. So as such, I wonder if you'll release PokePastes of the World Tour teams or if they're already out there. I know the movesets of all the trainers are just movesets based off of the movesets in the games but it would save so much time. It'd be so fun to try and simulate smaller tournaments using the teams or even alternate reality tournaments where the matchups were different. I find that concept so fascinating and so inspirational that I might even make my own version of this tournament but with a fangame (maybe Pokemon Reborn) and see how it would pan out. Whether or not I would upload it would be a different story because I don't make videos but it would an awesome idea for sure. Anyways, take your very well deserved break Pokedad, I'll be binge watching Masters 128 now. See you when the next tournament comes out!
round 1 spoilers Didn't expect blue to be that utterly demolished by lance. it wasnt even close, sheesh and for wally to 6-0 gladion kamado losing to somek was expected through welp... cynthia fell to the AI menace. ill be surprised if they dont win Round 2 spoilers wally's azumarill really tore through a lot of lance's team despite the attack reduction. no coming back from that one aaand somek was literally no match for the sada. rip. Finals spoiler Welp. didn't expect wally to accomplish this. but im not going to complain. i really like him
Wally countered Roaring Moon perfectly. Sada was destroying everyone due to Roaring Moon's speed. That sac to paralysis allowed his garchomp to outspeed Roaring Moon and knock it out. Good job Wally!
Final analysis of each fight. Blue v Lance: Nice upset, though it came down to who setup dragon dance proper and Lance did it first and won cause of that. Gladion v Wally: Well, that was a huge slaughter. Kamado v Somek: Somek had the power and speed in the end. Pretty close, but Somek switched better in the end. Sada v Cynthia: Well crits were on Sada's side that was for sure. That missed meteor mash really hurt. Such a shame cause Cynthia made Sada actually waste her booster energy drink as well. Lance v Wally: Lance had 0 answers for Azumarill. Somek v Sada: Somek stood literally 0 chance. Lance v Somek: Lance outpowered the power man. Wally v Sada: That switch to sac Roserade to safely send out Magnezone with balloon to setup a paralyze was the smartest move I've seen from an AI, which allowed Wally to win the whole tournament.
I am incredibly happy about who won this ngl SPOILERS: Blue getting bumped by Lance honestly surprised me. I expected him to take it to the finals. Oof at Gladeon getting 6-0'd like that. Boy didn't stand a chance. Kamado was playing as smartly has he could, especially with that bulky Snorlax. but Somek's Gen 3 OU squad was just too strong. AI Sada vs Cynthia ended how I expected it to. Close, but Sada knocking Cynthia off her throne. It was over for Lance the second Azumarill came out. Mono Dragon vs. Huge Power Fairy type was not ending well for him. For as good of a showing Somek had through this tournament, it honestly almost felt appropriate that the only team to take him down was a team of near pseudo-legendaries. But then Lance humbles him too, so maybe he just got to the finals bc of some lucky matchups. I feel like if Flutter Mane had Moonblast, we'd be looking at a much different outcome, but still. Wally pulled some big brain strats to deal with Sada's team and took the Championship! From sickly little boy from Hoenn to the world's greatest (npc) trainer. Gotta love a good underdog story.
Just went back and checked. Wally's Garchomp moved faster in the last round, meaning that Moonblast wouldn't have made a difference. He pulled through :)
@@paulinafirestone7868 flutter mane was faster, and didnt have a fairy move so used Shadow Ball on the garchomp, effectively giving wally the win. If it had a fairy move he would have lost.
First of all, thank you for doing this tournament, I really appreciate the effort to make this and I enjoyed every moment! Just subscribed Also... YES WALLY!!!!! I love his team. Well deserved win! Cynthia was also very impressive, she put a good fight against AI Sada and her scary paradox team despite crits and misses being in Sada's favor. What a tournament!
SPOILERS! So epic that a sickly boy didn’t even know how to catch a Pokémon is now the World’s Strongest Trainer. AI Sada played her heel role perfectly. She truly looked invincible.
Spoiler warning I was thinking Sada would be unstoppable up until this video but I was really hoping for Cynthia, Wally, or Blue. Super happy with Wally clutching but even Cynthia almost won surprisingly. If she just sacked Lucario to Roaring Moon instead of Milotic and then recovered twice with Milotic, she probably would’ve won. Anyways, proud of our boy Wally for clutching and outplaying Sada in the end! :)
She almost did win. It was that meteor mash miss which would have left more health for milotic and preserved her focus sash. That would have been a guaranteed ko against roaring moon.
That Milotic was legit in the right position to knock out Flutter Mane, Roaring Moon, Scream Tail, the big 3 of Sada's team and even Slither Wing all by itself. I was almost certain we were going to get a Milo sweep against the most OP character in Pokemon, only for Cynthia to bring Milotic on an attack instead of a safe switch. xD
If the goal is to keep making these things bigger then I think the next tournament should be double elimination especially with how random Pokémon is. Also assigning tournament ELOs based on previous tournaments would be interesting and give good context in the future.
Spoilers Yes! Wally was exactly who I wanted out of the top 16 and I got lucky for once! Would've preferred Wally vs Cynthia but going against only paradox pokemon proves just how good Wally is. He isn't a champion but he might as well be because of how fast he beat the gym challenge and his stacked team. That 6-0 on Gladion and Roserade + Magnezone sack was genius. He's proven himself above the other winners, Blue Cynthia and Lusamine. And of course, thanks PokeDad for the content! Many people start these projects and don't have the commitment to continue but your consistency is commendable (lotta alliteration lol)
Every trainer I was rooting for took an L this vid💀😂 but what an excellent conclusion to what has easily been the best tournament yet. Props to the Champ for a spectacular Grand Final🫡🎉
Shortly after the battle Cynthia Lance and Somek watch as scream tail faints everyone is quest before Wally’s theme begins to play in the stadium everyone is losing there mind Saguaro smiles at Wally, Agatha takes some money from a stunned oak and wally goes to Ai Sada and says “T thank you for the battle Professor Sada I know you tried your best but it seams I kinda beat you” Ai Sada speaks “your team beat the world of ancient Pokémon you deserve this victory” before she entered sleep mode to converse energy and wally begins to celebrate with everyone from Hoenn
This Really is THE Underdog story of all time Wasn't my selected pick for the Winner, but Damn if I'm not happy that a certain someone didn't win. That team is just Unfair
honestly, i was really hoping for kabu to win but he didnt make it out.. but that doesnt matter! this was one of the most creative and brilliant pokemon video series i have ever seen on youtube. thank you for making it to the end, this has been very fun to watch, and i've enjoyed waiting for each new video to show up in my notifications. its sad that its over now tho...
What I really enjoy about Wally is he was a frail sick kid with a dream of owning a pokemon and once his health got better, he wanted to live life to the fullest and nothing was gonna stop him . . . And now . . . look at him! Nothing did!
The final was literally the battle of the opposites. On one side: a kid who won thanks to a well constructed team made of ordinary pokémons that requires actual skill and strategy to use. On the other side: a filty paradox spammer who won only thanks to broken mons like roaring moon and flatter mane and sheer luck. I'm so glad Wally won.
What if we took all the round 1 losers and had them face off in another tournament to find out the weakest AI trainer? You lose, you advance until there's 1 winless trainer.
Spoiler warning below… … Just as we all expected, the last Pokémon standing was a garchomp. It just wasn’t the garchomp we all thought it would be! Seriously, that was an anime style tourney. We all had our eyes on the Cynthia va Sada fight, and for good reason! Those two trainers are absurd and were the favorites for a reason. Wally though, he slipped by our radar. Seeing his team, I knew he’d be good but didn’t think he’d be that good. When blue and Cynthia lost, I thought humanity’s final hope was gone too, but Wally played an amazing match and was able to squeak out the win. That said, Wally is legit. His team has amazing offensive and defensive synergy, and has some pretty good movesets aside from maybe physical roserade. He was a threat to win it all from the start, we just were focused on the shinier endgame bosses. That really was anime protagonist defeating the overpowered boss kind of battle. Amazing tourney, thank you for running it!
Dude Wally was out there playing 4D chess against a robot and it paid off. I was rooting for Cynthia to win it all, but seeing little Wally win made me so happy. ❤ The smol bean deserved it.
I think we're living in the good timeline here. I feel like if Sada won a lot of people would liekly have been dissapointed. Wally however is very likable, and even though I rooted for lance and got booted out by Wally its difficult to get upset that he won here. Wally rocks
Really glad wally beat that over powered robot but i still think the robots should be banned from future touraments there just way to strong for most trainers and even the trainers who can beat them need luck on there side to even come close, so by banning them its keeps things more fair and keeps the over all outcome of the tourament up in the air i mean no one was shocked sada made it all the way to the end and if she hadn't battled turo earlier the two likely would have ended up the final battle since wally pretty much just got lucky by not getting any bad misses that costed him the match like some of the trainers did when battleing sada so wally might not have won if he battled sada or turo earlier so the two of them would likely end up the final battle if they hadn't battled earlier on
I think it was fine to have them in this tournament for novelty and lore, but I think this should be their last appearance (outside of a tournament of the most overpowered NPCs ever)
@@moonjelly5 maybe trainers would have a better chance beating them in a 2v2 but singles are just way too one sided without some crazy ass luck but sadly in most cases they get bad luck and end up missing attacks that cost them the battle it only takes one missed attack for the battle to turn south and this happen a good few times in this tourament, honestly i think sada would've fallen pretty early on if it wasn't for some bad misses giving her the win in some battles, i think there were at least two characters that could've beaten her if they didn't miss some of there attacks
@@PSRJ1921plus2153 Pokedad didn't want legendary Pokemon in the tournament, but was forced to make exceptions. He wanted the AI's in the tournament as they were major story characters, but as they didn't use any non-Paradox mons, these were the only team he could give them (also Paradox Pokemon are technically not legendary). Same with Mustard, who didn't use enough Pokemon to have an alternate to Urshifu (so he was given the "weaker" of the two forms). N used enough Pokemon in his two appearances for him to have an alternate for Reshiram/Zekrom. I think Silvally was allowed because it isn't very good and has stats worse than most non-legendary Pokemon.
I did not see my boy Wally reaching the finals, he's grown so much since that wild battle against the Ralts, proud of ya. Edit: Oh wow holy shit and I didn't expect him to fucking win it! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Spoilers Love that Wally got that win, he's been underrated for for too long with his best team being locked to a remakes postgame. That said, Lance was the one I was rooting for the most. After all the years of being called a Bird Keeper and a mere fill-in for the Champion slot, he almost made it to the top. Im glad he did get his win against Blue and ended up the highest ranked Champion by the end of it, but man he got so close. Had he been able to knock out the Azumarill before Haxorus hit the field, he wouldn't have locked up his Scarf user on Earthquake, and he might have pulled the win. The rest of Wally's team did not have the health or speed to deal with a scarfed Outrage sweep, but being locked into Earthquake prevented that. Probably could have been avoided if his Ai didn't keep failing to read switch ins like we've seen them do before. But the biggest blunder was sacking his Flygon for nothing, if he swapped to Salamence, instead of Flygon when Azumaril first came out it would have been much different. As we saw Intimidate Salamence could take that hit, then when it gets knocked out by Aqua jet, clean switch into Flygon's Power Herb Solarbeam. That might be enough from there, but if not, not only could Flygon possibly take a weakened Play Rough for another attack, Kingdra can definitely finish it: letting him go into the last few with much better chances. Heck, he was one of the few with a couple answers to Roaring Moon with Scarfed Haxorus and Multiscale Dragonite if he made it that far. That said, Im still kinda glad how things ended. I love Cynthia and Blue as characters, but they were starting to have the Charizard effect to me with how no one would talk about ANY other character as approaching them. The semifinals lets some really underestimated heavy hitters take the stage for once.
welp this tournament had ALOT of surprises but I wasnt expecting, him to win, like yeah I was rooting for him but he won...wow...just wow, this was pretty hyped as well, especially after the queen of pokemon fell tonight.
Well, at least Sabrina can take solace that she lost to an endearing future champ. Still wonder how she would have fared against Wally if her unreliable focus blast would have hit once in a while.
This has been a fabulous series. The roller coaster ride of tough battles has been amazing. Coming to the end, though, I do have one gripe with how it all went down. AI Turo and AI Sada were nearly impossible to beat because their teams consist of nothing but Pokemon with legendary levels of stats and abilities that can easily snowball. I spent the entire tournament just hoping that they would lose to an extraordinarily unlucky battle so that someone with a more interesting team could win. In a scenario where the only other legendary was the relatively underwhelming Silvally, there wasn't much anyone could do. I tend to hope someone other than Cynthia would win just for variety's sake, and yet I was rooting for her just hoping that she'd stop the sweep of the caveman pokemon. I dunno, this was still a great tournament, but the AI professors kind of made me like it much less due to the overpowered nature of Paradox Pokemon.
Goddamnit Blue. Wally SWEEP! So cool, Has to be the cleanest match of the tournament. Cynthia's loss was expected, but it still hurts. Glad Wally won in the end. 257 battles, since you did a playoff for 3rd. Thanks for a great few weeks, Mr. Dad!
@@pokedad23 Tbh I was sure the song was going to kick in during the quarter finals so it seems I was not so wrong ^^ (Amazing tournament and amazing editing btw, It was my favorites summer entertainement !)
Honestly, I really wish there was commentary during the final bracket. It would've made the battles way more exciting. However, it was still very entertaining with some shocking upsets.
Comments on each battle! My bet to win for each battle will be *bolded* and I'll offer my thoughts as I watch the battles unfold, KO by KO. Blue vs *Lance* Tyranitar does good damage to Flygon, but goes down without finishing the job. 5-6 Arcanine, the ultimate revenge-killer. 5-5 A bit of switching, but ultimately it's Exeggutor going down to Kingdra after a bit of bruising on both sides. 4-5 Alakazam gets the Gleam to KO Kingdra, revealing itself as the biggest threat to Lance on Blue's team. 4-4 Alakazam gets a hit off, but it may not matter; D-Dance plus Outrage means Blue's team is about to be cut to ribbons. 3-4 And Machamp... 2-4 And Arcanine... 1-4 And with a crit, just for style points, Gyarados, giving Lance a very, VERY clean win over Blue, finally avenging his defeat from the original games. *Gladion* vs Wally A lot happened, but a bruised and para'd Silvally and a KO'd Zoroark puts Wally into a commanding position from the start. 5-6 A bit of switching, but Weavile eats a Flash Cannon and goes down without a fight. 4-6 Porygon-Z and Magnezone trade blows, but Magnezone wins out. Wally is threatening to shut Gladion out if this keeps up. 3-6 Tricking Lucario into E-speeding into Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet Garchomp was dirty and clever, and Garchomp follows it up by getting a win on the swapped-in Crobat. 2-6 Lucario E-Speeds for the revenge kill, but he may have missed the range because Garchomp KO's him instead. Is Wally about to get a 6-0 sweep in the Quarter Finals? 1-6 And the Paralyzed Silvally can do NOTHING against the Garchomp, giving Wally a 6-0 sweep in the Quarter Finals! WHAT a display of dominance! My bet was VERY poorly placed, WOW! Wally may have just proven himself the greatest Rival in Pokemon! And up next, he goes up against Lance himself. Kamado vs *Somek* Kamado starts off strong, baiting Gyarados into triggering Sturdy and Weakness Policy on Golem and going down to a T-Punch. 6-5 Ancient Power revenge kill, but no omniboost, thankfully for Kamado. 5-5 Ursaluna takes some damage but gets the KO on Claydol. It has Guts up, but at 40% hp, it may not get a chance to benefit from it. 5-4 A whole lot happens, but a lot of bruising occurs across both teams before Clefable pops Metagross' balloon and goes down. 4-4 Metagross also finishes off Ursaluna. Somek might clean Kamado up right here. 3-4 Heracross hits back hard before going down. 2-4 Braviary eats a Meteor Mash before finishing off Metagross. 2-3 Quick Attack doesn't take down Salamence. 1-3 And Salamence closes it out for Somek. A bloody, BLOODY battle, lots of damage on both sides. Just a little bit happens differently and Kamado could have won this. Sada vs *Cynthia* Scream Tail deals good damage to Spiritomb and Roserade, but goes down. 5-6 Brute Bonnet revenge-KO's. 5-5 Bonnet bruises Togekiss, but Togekiss gets a comfortable KO still. 4-5 Roaring Moon comes out and KO's Togekiss. 4-4 A bit of bruising on Cynthia's team, but Milotic gets Mirror Coat to KO Flutter Mane. 3-4 Garchomp comes out, unfortunately eating an Earth Power to do so, but KO's the Sandy Shocks. 2-4 Roaring Moon comes back, Cynthia swaps to Milotic who unceremoniously goes down. Protosynthesis is such a stupid ability. 2-3 *sigh* Roaring Moon looks to be sweeping Cynthia's bruised team. Spiritomb goes down. 2-2 Lucario E-Speeds, but goes down. 2-1 *sigh* and Sada wins, on the backs of her extremely powerful Pokemon. I have now reached the point where I think the inclusion of Paradox Pokemon in this tournament rigged it from the beginning; their BST's are insanely high compared to most Pokemon. Sada's probably going to sweep the rest of the tournament with little difficulty. MAYBE Somek can stop her? *Wally* vs Lance Some back and forth, but Wally manages to stop the D-Dance sweep from Dragonite before it begins with Para, before bruising it with his Talonflame. 5-6 Garchomp for the revenge, evening things up. 5-5 A bit of switching until Azumarill nails a Play Rough on an unfortunately switching in Flygon, putting Wally in the lead. 5-4 Azumarill takes a bruise from Salamence, but powers through and gets the KO. 5-3 Azumarill proves to continue being a dragon slayer, taking down Kingdra. 5-2 Haxorus avenges his fallen friends, but it may be too little, too late. 4-2 Garchomp for the revenge on Haxorus. 4-1 Hydreigon takes a HEAVY hit before KO'ing the Garchomp. 3-1 Hydreigon follows it up with a KO on Gallade. Can Hydreigon stage a comeback and steal the battle? 2-1 Nails Roserade with the Fire Blast, but the drastically reduced damage due to the Draco Meteors means Roserade lives on comfortable HP and closes the battle out in Wally's favor. Wally moves on to the Finals, likely destined to lose to Sada. *Sada* vs Somek *REALLY?* Misses a Giga Impact after D-Dancing, then goes down to Sucker Punch. Yeesh. Rough start, Somek. 6-5 A bit of switching and bruising, resulting in Sandy Shocks getting a KO on Metagross. 6-4 Slaking with a revenge KO. Doubt it matters, but hey. 5-4 Roaring Moon comes out, gets the KO on Dusclops. 5-3 And on Claydol. 5-2 And Slaking. 5-1 And finishes off the Salamence, putting Somek out of the Finals. *sigh* I'm not shy to admit I'm salty at this point. I was fine until I looked up the stats of the Paradox Pokemon and realized they were all only a little weaker than Pseudo-legendaries, and both AI Profs had full 6-stack teams of them, probably giving them the highest average BST in the tournament by a wide margin. Ugh. I'm not gonna comment on the 3rd place playoff, suffice to say that Lance put on a clinic and put Somek down to 4th. *TOURNAMENT FINALS* WALLY VS *SADA* Talonflame deals heavy damage, but KO's itself with recoil. 5-6 Gallade loses attack but boosts its speed, KOing Slither Wing. 5-5 Bonnet revenge KO's with Sucker Punch. 4-5 Wally damages with Roserade, then swaps to Azumarill for a clean KO against Bonnet. Both sides are fairly even at the moment... 4-4 Azumarill takes out Sandy, but suffers an unfortunate Paralysis, keeping Azumarill from threatening Roaring Moon. 4-3 Damages Flutter Mane, but goes down. 3-3 Garchomp takes a hit, but KO's Flutter Mane. Cutting it close, but... it's not impossible that Wally wins? 3-2 Wally sacs his Roserade for a clean swap to Magnezone. A good plan. 2-2 Magnezone para's the Roaring Moon. A HUGE advantage, in theory, but Moon won the speed tie(???) and KO's without taking damage. 1-2 Garchomp Tera's to Dragon and OHKO's Roaring Moon! First time Moon has gone down the entire tournament, and Scream Tail is the only one left! Surely, *SURELY* Garchomp outspeeds Scream Tail, RIGHT? 1-1 IT DOES! AND IT NAILS THE EARTHQUAKE! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HERE IS YOUR WINNER, AND THE *NEWWWWWWWWWW* NPC WORLD TOUR CHAMPION, WALLYYYYYY!!!
Man the person who won pulled through and was a very close final.
That last battle made my heart PUMP. I was literally on the edge of my seat. What a battle!
Wally was the main character and our hero.
I do remember him as a sweetie (unlike Blue). It’s a pretty nice story how he started out as sickly but was eventually able to go on his journey and make it all the way to Victory Road.
Never in a million did I expect Wally WALLY to be on top but here we are. I thought Wally was a wimp but now I see him as the powerhouse he is
It was a 1000 IQ move for him to switch to Rosarade with for the clean switch to get the paralysis.
Mostly because nobody could beat azu
"Didn't expect that" epitomizes Wally, TBH.
This is just part of his character development.
@@notscorchingsands9718 I bet Cynthia could’ve done it by having Spiritomb burn Azu. Or her Roserade could’ve just KO’d it without any tricks, because it resists both Water and Fairy and Azu would be weak to all of Roserade’s STAB moves. Iono! Wally wins.
I though AI Sada would win but Wally did the unthinkable. So according to this tournament he's the strongest trainer ever.
According to the last tournament Cynthia is, though. I wanna see a Wally vs. Cynthia battle.
@@Maelstrom04940 Nah. You could stop getting pressed over people enjoying something fictional that does no harm to anyone, though.
21:19 Biggest Brain Move from the AI in this Tournament
Congrats to Wally for winning!
Thunder Wave really messed AI Sada up
I bet AI Sada didn’t calculate Wally switching to Roserade to take the hit then switch to Magnezone with an air balloon.
When I saw wally win in the first bracket I thought he has a very good chance to win even beating Cynthia
@@mad_dog6457 Wally vs Cynthia would be one HELL of a battle.
I mean this makes sense...
AI Sada was canonically defeated by a small child. It was her Achilles heel.
OK, but you do realise that quite literally every single trainer in this tournament was defeated by a small child.
Wally getting revenge for Cynthia by ending it off with his own Garchomp. Nice
Didnt even think of that, holy wow....
Bruh this is scripted💀
(Jk)
That final battle had me at the edge of my seat and I'm happy with the results.
I was chanting so hard for Wally to win. I literally yelled out "YES!" at the end of the battle.
Wally's azumarill really did a lot for him throughout the tournament
Poor Cynthia, she probably actually beats AI Sada if Lucario hits the Meteor Mash on Flutter Mane
Sada also had a ton of crits, which did not help as well. Shame cause Cynthia made Sada switched to get rid of that annoying booster energy.
Also the thing is, in the first tournament, Cynthia kind of usually lost her first match or a match, then came back win it 2 out of 3. It do be like that sometimes.
Can’t believe Wally went from the biggest wimps into a suitable rival into the best trainer in the world. What a character arc, that last battle was intense.
if sada wasnt there cynthia would have won...but at least she is better than leon and red...
The final battle may very well be the most thrilling Pokémon battle I’ve ever seen 🔥 🔥 🔥
I think my jaw literally hit my desk on that OHKO in the final. I thought it was over, what a move. A deserving champion.
A super satisfying victory, can't wait for the next tournament. It should be between the post game NPC's like frontier and Maison characters
I heard Pokedad wanted to include battle facility heads in a future tournament. Maybe that'll be the next tournament.
There's 16 Frontier Brains and Battle Maison Chatelaines so he could do a "Champion of Champions" style tournament for them.
Dam, it's been one hell of a tournament. Worth the 6 months. I can't wait for what you do next.✌️
What a finally.I am very happy with the outcome
See you when the next tournament comes out!
round 1 spoilers
Didn't expect blue to be that utterly demolished by lance. it wasnt even close, sheesh
and for wally to 6-0 gladion
kamado losing to somek was expected through
welp... cynthia fell to the AI menace. ill be surprised if they dont win
Round 2 spoilers
wally's azumarill really tore through a lot of lance's team despite the attack reduction. no coming back from that one
aaand somek was literally no match for the sada. rip.
Finals spoiler
Welp. didn't expect wally to accomplish this. but im not going to complain. i really like him
Astounding. So many twists and turns. I cried out for joy several times. 🤩
Great tournament!
Wally countered Roaring Moon perfectly. Sada was destroying everyone due to Roaring Moon's speed. That sac to paralysis allowed his garchomp to outspeed Roaring Moon and knock it out. Good job Wally!
Wally is a beast! That team coverage is nonsense, and I’m so happy to personally see a team with Gallade take the championship!
And this was without his Mega too
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

I was rooting for Wally, but I didn’t actually think he’d win! Eapecially not against the insanely busted Paradox mon!
I was rooting for Wally, too. I am so glad he won.
So was I, despite it being a long shot
Gods know you earned a break! Thank you so much for all the amazing battles!
I am incredibly happy about who won this ngl
SPOILERS:
Blue getting bumped by Lance honestly surprised me.
Most importantly, if Scream Tail had more EVs in speed, it would have outsped Garchomp and Sada would be the reigning strongest trainer.
First of all, thank you for doing this tournament, I really appreciate the effort to make this and I enjoyed every moment! Just subscribed
Also... YES WALLY!!!!! I love his team. Well deserved win! Cynthia was also very impressive, she put a good fight against AI Sada and her scary paradox team despite crits and misses being in Sada's favor. What a tournament!
Omg Wally, at least a true Pokémon master
The AIs should have never been invited 😂 its like inviting the legendary spamming little Timmy to a competetive Tournement 😂
Right? I mean, can they even be considered trainers when they’re not people?
Just imagine the world where Sada's Flutter Mane knew Moonblast. What a terrifying thought.
That would make AI Sada the most broken Pokemon Villain ever.
Wasn't expecting that of an ending, but still... this has to be the best series I have seen in a long time! Kudos Pokedad ❤!!!
SPOILERS!
So epic that a sickly boy didn’t even know how to catch a Pokémon is now the World’s Strongest Trainer. AI Sada played her heel role perfectly. She truly looked invincible.
Spoiler warning
I was thinking Sada would be unstoppable up until this video but I was really hoping for Cynthia, Wally, or Blue. :)
I thought the exact same thing
Same. Really wanted Cynthia to win, but Wally winning is pretty awesome too.
I was almost certain we were going to get a Milo sweep against the most OP character in Pokemon, only for Cynthia to bring Milotic on an attack instead of a safe switch. xD
“Throughout Kanto and Kitikami, I alone am the honored one”-Wally
Great series. I really enjoy your narration, would love more of that in future videos
man, that ending was adorable
Absolutely loved this as usual, you are a great series runner! Keep it up
Phenomenal series, its been a lot of fun to watch!
Gotta love the gen 5 final pokemon theme. It's a crime gamefreak didn't continue that in the games since
They kinda did in gen 8 with the crowd singing
This was a fantastic series. I’ve began watching since you started 6 months ago and it has been extremely exciting to watch. Definitely subscribing!
If the goal is to keep making these things bigger then I think the next tournament should be double elimination especially with how random Pokémon is. Also assigning tournament ELOs based on previous tournaments would be interesting and give good context in the future.
Spoilers
Yes!
I’m just glad Sada lost
Me too, I hate her.
Shortly after the battle Cynthia Lance and Somek watch as scream tail faints everyone is quest before Wally’s theme begins to play in the stadium everyone is losing there mind Saguaro smiles at Wally, Agatha takes some money from a stunned oak and wally goes to Ai Sada and says
“T thank you for the battle Professor Sada I know you tried your best but it seams I kinda beat you”
Ai Sada speaks “your team beat the world of ancient Pokémon you deserve this victory” before she entered sleep mode to converse energy and wally begins to celebrate with everyone from Hoenn
This Really is THE Underdog story of all time
Wasn't my selected pick for the Winner, but Damn if I'm not happy that a certain someone didn't win. That team is just Unfair
I legit thought it’d be a clean sweep in that last round but DANG! That was the best moment in the whole tournament!
I could watch this series forever
honestly, i was really hoping for kabu to win but he didnt make it out..
but that doesnt matter! this was one of the most creative and brilliant pokemon video series i have ever seen on youtube. thank you for making it to the end, this has been very fun to watch, and i've enjoyed waiting for each new video to show up in my notifications.
its sad that its over now tho...
With that final four, it really was anyone’s guess who would come out on top. What a finale!
What I really enjoy about Wally is he was a frail sick kid with a dream of owning a pokemon and once his health got better, he wanted to live life to the fullest and nothing was gonna stop him . . . And now . . . look at him! Nothing did!
So glad AI sada got shut down in the end even if its by a character i never really appreciated
Wally was lucky Flutter Mane didn’t have Moonblast.
Then pit the biggest loser against Wally.
Great series i will waitting for the next one. The final was so great I was roting for the winer since the begining.
It’s funny how 1/3 of Wally’s team matches Cynthia’s. I wonder how close the movesets and stats are.
HOLY SHIT THAT FINAL WAS INSANE
Decided to watch the whole thing, you have won my subscribe, 10/10.1!!
Spoiler warning below…
…
Just as we all expected, the last Pokémon standing was a garchomp.
A poor sick kid from petalburg city becomes the best trainer in the world
Dude Wally was out there playing 4D chess against a robot and it paid off. I was rooting for Cynthia to win it all, but seeing little Wally win made me so happy. ❤ The smol bean deserved it.
I am so glad the person who won did. It fits their storyline as the best rival!
I think we're living in the good timeline here. I feel like if Sada won a lot of people would liekly have been dissapointed. Wally however is very likable, and even though I rooted for lance and got booted out by Wally its difficult to get upset that he won here. Wally rocks
Nah I popped off Fr when Wally came back and won, that was crazy
YES🎉🎉🎉
I was rooting for wally from the start.
That was such a close fight and this was an amazing tordement.
Really glad wally beat that over powered robot but i still think the robots should be banned from future touraments there just way to strong for most trainers and even the trainers who can beat them need luck on there side to even come close, so by banning them its keeps things more fair and keeps the over all outcome of the tourament up in the air i mean no one was shocked sada made it all the way to the end and if she hadn't battled turo earlier the two likely would have ended up the final battle since wally pretty much just got lucky by not getting any bad misses that costed him the match like some of the trainers did when battleing sada so wally might not have won if he battled sada or turo earlier so the two of them would likely end up the final battle if they hadn't battled earlier on
#bantheAIs
I don't know about banned, but it's weird that they don't allow N to have his Reshiram yet allow the AIs have the full paradox teams

Love that Wally got that win, he's been underrated for for too long with his best team being locked to a remakes postgame.
Man proved he would've been the main protagonist if you weren't around
welp this tournament had ALOT of surprises but I wasnt expecting, him to win, like yeah I was rooting for him but he won...wow...just wow, this was pretty hyped as well, especially after the queen of pokemon fell tonight.
Fantastic song choice for the final fight
The winner of the ultimate battle wasn’t whom I was rooting for in the finals, but I’m thrilled to see the other character lose.
Well, at least Sabrina can take solace that she lost to an endearing future champ. Still wonder how she would have fared against Wally if her unreliable focus blast would have hit once in a while.
Literally celebrated the wally outspeed and win at the end like it was the deciding goal at the football world cup
This has been fun good job man
MY PREDICTION WAS RIGHT!! FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!! (Spoilers below)
MY MAN WALLY FOR THE WIN!! 🎉🎉
How did you predict that
@tylanyofi674 He has the most balanced team, and he's not attack heavy. Defense is the best offense.
@@kyleyodice6349Congratulations. That was so much better than my Volo pick.
Damn, the moment i saw magnezone still had full hp, i knew wally would win. Zero to hero, wally, the champ

yessssss WALLY won, love that an underrated trainer won!!!
i just finished watching, saw the entire series on tiktok, what a series!!! really enjoyed, will be watching more! :)))))
Wallys come a long way from getting destroyed in the Gen 3 games
SANDY SHOCKS DID WHAT?!
The best turn of the whole video was Turn 18 of Komando vs Somek. Amazing turn. Great progress.
Dad!
Still 256 😉 255 elimination battles, 1 3rd playoff
Next time it you should use wally like champion ❤
I'm impressed the AI actually managed to get Paralysis off. Any other move onnthat turn lost wally the battle. Wow.
Should do it all over again but allow trainers all their generational gimmicks
My biggest disappointement :
We never heard Sw/Sh Battle tower theme
Was going to be there for Wally vs Gladion but I had to replace it with Battle Subway because of copyright
@@pokedad23 Tbh I was sure the song was going to kick in during the quarter finals so it seems I was not so wrong ^^

Spoilers
If AI Sada’s Flutter Mane had Moonblast she would’ve been champion.
Thank Arceus it didn't. That would have made her even more stupidly overpowered.
Garchomp moved first in the last round. It wouldn't have changed anything.
Blue vs *Lance*
Tyranitar does good damage to Flygon, but goes down without finishing the job. 5-6
Arcanine, the ultimate revenge-killer. 5-5
A bit of switching, but ultimately it's Exeggutor going down to Kingdra after a bit of bruising on both sides. 4-5
Alakazam gets the Gleam to KO Kingdra, revealing itself as the biggest threat to Lance on Blue's team. 4-4
Alakazam gets a hit off, but it may not matter; D-Dance plus Outrage means Blue's team is about to be cut to ribbons. 3-4
And Machamp... 2-4
And Arcanine... 1-4
And with a crit, just for style points, Gyarados, giving Lance a very, VERY clean win over Blue, finally avenging his defeat from the original games.
*Gladion* vs Wally
A lot happened, but a bruised and para'd Silvally and a KO'd Zoroark puts Wally into a commanding position from the start. 5-6
A bit of switching, but Weavile eats a Flash Cannon and goes down without a fight. 4-6
Porygon-Z and Magnezone trade blows, but Magnezone wins out. Wally is threatening to shut Gladion out if this keeps up. 3-6
Tricking Lucario into E-speeding into Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet Garchomp was dirty and clever, and Garchomp follows it up by getting a win on the swapped-in Crobat. 2-6
Lucario E-Speeds for the revenge kill, but he may have missed the range because Garchomp KO's him instead. Is Wally about to get a 6-0 sweep in the Quarter Finals? 1-6
And the Paralyzed Silvally can do NOTHING against the Garchomp, giving Wally a 6-0 sweep in the Quarter Finals! WHAT a display of dominance! My bet was VERY poorly placed, WOW! Wally may have just proven himself the greatest Rival in Pokemon! And up next, he goes up against Lance himself.
Kamado vs *Somek*
Kamado starts off strong, baiting Gyarados into triggering Sturdy and Weakness Policy on Golem and going down to a T-Punch. 6-5
Ancient Power revenge kill, but no omniboost, thankfully for Kamado. 5-5
Ursaluna takes some damage but gets the KO on Claydol. It has Guts up, but at 40% hp, it may not get a chance to benefit from it. 5-4
A whole lot happens, but a lot of bruising occurs across both teams before Clefable pops Metagross' balloon and goes down. 4-4
Metagross also finishes off Ursaluna. Somek might clean Kamado up right here. 3-4
Heracross hits back hard before going down. 2-4
Braviary eats a Meteor Mash before finishing off Metagross. 2-3
Quick Attack doesn't take down Salamence. 1-3
And Salamence closes it out for Somek. A bloody, BLOODY battle, lots of damage on both sides. Just a little bit happens differently and Kamado could have won this.
Sada vs *Cynthia*
Scream Tail deals good damage to Spiritomb and Roserade, but goes down. 5-6
Brute Bonnet revenge-KO's. 5-5
Bonnet bruises Togekiss, but Togekiss gets a comfortable KO still. 4-5
Roaring Moon comes out and KO's Togekiss. 4-4
A bit of bruising on Cynthia's team, but Milotic gets Mirror Coat to KO Flutter Mane. 3-4
Garchomp comes out, unfortunately eating an Earth Power to do so, but KO's the Sandy Shocks. 2-4
Roaring Moon comes back, Cynthia swaps to Milotic who unceremoniously goes down. Protosynthesis is such a stupid ability. 2-3
*sigh* Roaring Moon looks to be sweeping Cynthia's bruised team. Spiritomb goes down. 2-2
Lucario E-Speeds, but goes down. 2-1
*sigh* and Sada wins, on the backs of her extremely powerful Pokemon. I have now reached the point where I think the inclusion of Paradox Pokemon in this tournament rigged it from the beginning; their BST's are insanely high compared to most Pokemon. Sada's probably going to sweep the rest of the tournament with little difficulty. MAYBE Somek can stop her?
*Wally* vs Lance
Some back and forth, but Wally manages to stop the D-Dance sweep from Dragonite before it begins with Para, before bruising it with his Talonflame. 5-6
Garchomp for the revenge, evening things up. 5-5
A bit of switching until Azumarill nails a Play Rough on an unfortunately switching in Flygon, putting Wally in the lead. 5-4
Azumarill takes a bruise from Salamence, but powers through and gets the KO. 5-3
Azumarill proves to continue being a dragon slayer, taking down Kingdra. 5-2
Haxorus avenges his fallen friends, but it may be too little, too late. 4-2
Garchomp for the revenge on Haxorus. 4-1
Hydreigon takes a HEAVY hit before KO'ing the Garchomp. 3-1
Hydreigon follows it up with a KO on Gallade. Can Hydreigon stage a comeback and steal the battle? 2-1
Nails Roserade with the Fire Blast, but the drastically reduced damage due to the Draco Meteors means Roserade lives on comfortable HP and closes the battle out in Wally's favor. Wally moves on to the Finals, likely destined to lose to Sada.
*Sada* vs Somek
*REALLY?* Misses a Giga Impact after D-Dancing, then goes down to Sucker Punch. Yeesh. Rough start, Somek. 6-5
A bit of switching and bruising, resulting in Sandy Shocks getting a KO on Metagross. 6-4
Slaking with a revenge KO. Doubt it matters, but hey. 5-4
Roaring Moon comes out, gets the KO on Dusclops. 5-3
And on Claydol. 5-2
And Slaking. 5-1
And finishes off the Salamence, putting Somek out of the Finals.
*TOURNAMENT FINALS*
WALLY VS *SADA*
Talonflame deals heavy damage, but KO's itself with recoil. 5-6
Gallade loses attack but boosts its speed, KOing Slither Wing. 5-5
Bonnet revenge KO's with Sucker Punch. 4-5
Wally damages with Roserade, then swaps to Azumarill for a clean KO against Bonnet. Both sides are fairly even at the moment... 4-4
Azumarill takes out Sandy, but suffers an unfortunate Paralysis, keeping Azumarill from threatening Roaring Moon. 4-3
Damages Flutter Mane, but goes down. 3-3
Garchomp takes a hit, but KO's Flutter Mane. Cutting it close, but... it's not impossible that Wally wins? 3-2
Wally sacs his Roserade for a clean swap to Magnezone. A good plan. 2-2
Magnezone para's the Roaring Moon. A HUGE advantage, in theory, but Moon won the speed tie(???) and KO's without taking damage. 1-2
Garchomp Tera's to Dragon and OHKO's Roaring Moon! First time Moon has gone down the entire tournament, and Scream Tail is the only one left! Surely, *SURELY* Garchomp outspeeds Scream Tail, RIGHT? 1-1
IT DOES! AND IT NAILS THE EARTHQUAKE! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HERE IS YOUR WINNER, AND THE *NEWWWWWWWWWW* NPC WORLD TOUR CHAMPION, WALLYYYYYY!!!
I really enjoyed your comments, thanks for watching 😊
