    Great selection of locomotives - even a DJ and DSC! I spent many years driving all of the featured locos except the DX which was not in the South Island when I finished up. Great video. Thanks.

    Really good video, there were still a fair number of unrebuilt DF(II) class loco's around then (they were all rebuilt into DFT class, a turbocharger being added, hence the very different sound).
    And you can see some of the last 4-wheel wagons in use, amazing how in little over 10 years the goods train changed from traditional 4-wheel opens and vans to mainly containerized goods on bogie flats.
