What a lovely but cold scenery. Thanks for the upload. Beautiful video of the deer. I must admit it's amazing what u find at your doorstep, lol. I have liflve in East Lothian for 9 years and am still exploring it. Again thanks for your time.
It is a lovely nature reserve. I really don't come here enough. It's sited on an old WW2 air field ,in fact, where the deer and fox were is where the runways were.. but nothing left to see now. Nature has taken back hold, and the wildlife have moved back in.. man will always lose against nature..
Cold toes alert! Nice one Joe, there are definitely worse places to stand about...football matches, town centres and the like for example! The fox footage was fabulous, shame it was a little far off for photos, really good to see it's habits as it was oblivious to your presence. Very atmospheric images too with the heavy frost. really adds a sense of how harsh winter life is for our wildlife even in our relatively mild climate.
I have a question... Do you use any type of protective filter on your sigma 100-400 or is the front element of the lens has dust and moisture resistant coating? Because as I know, using protective or UV filter decreases the picture quality. Humbly looking forward to your reply.
No I don't use any kind of protective filter, that's what the lens cap is for , as for moisture and dust , I carry a lens cloth in my pocket and keep the lens hood on , plus the lens has a degree of weather sealing obviously not as good as the pro lenses , I've had mine out in rain and snow and it's not broken yet... have a little faith in the technology...
Nice and beautiful video. Thanks for sharing so wonderful footages. Big Like
