Didnt have a snes as a kid, had a sega (unfortunately) but played this game a few years ago and more recently, and think its one of the best batman games period. I had batman returns on sega, so this was a breath of fresh air.

Honestly, this is my favorite Batman game of all time. You can see what it’s gone up in value so much over the years. Batman for NES and Batman Vengeance for PS2 are also great.

This game was much better on tha genesis.. and you could play as Robin too.. it was much harder tho
Edit: this version was top notch as well.. didn't wanna take anything away from it when I read my comment back
I really like the genesis game despite its difficulty. But I prefer the snes version because I believe it captures the essence of the animated series.
Nah. Genesis version was like Contra, Snes was better.
It really was Insanely difficult!!!!! I never understood why they had to make it so hard either.. Snes version definitely seems like a beatable game like it should be.. Genesis version tho.. Not so much but such a good game and so much fun.. Until you break your controller rage quitting hahaha

is it me or is the Genesis versio Wayyyyy better? I mean they are so different. Maybe this is more like the cartoon but the Genesis versions effects are the most impressive on a Genesis.
I don't think that way, at all. The Genesis game is a frenetic Contra-like with spectacular effects and action while this is a much more creative, rhythmic and unpredictable game. Both are great games, and typical of their respective consoles. I wouldn't say one is so much better than the other but well... Sega fans always like to pretend their preferred style is so much better than anything.
The Sega one I heard is Brutally Unfunnily Comically Difficult, has good stuff , one of fave Genesis OSTs (but can’t even get past level 1😂
There was one based on batman beyond
But it sucked.
