As a surv hunter main, tip of the spear was never a random proc and was always generated by kill command, both pre TWW and with the talent changes. The change is that now, instead of dumping the entirety of its up to three stacks on a single use of raptor/mongoose, they are consumed one at a time and affect other abilities now, too. Additionally, flanking strike has added synergy by generating two stacks of tip
I’ve been looking for a ranked melee video for TWW, but this is the only one that hit everything I was looking for. Simple breakdowns, not ignoring the “fun” piece of the equation, and left me even more excited for launch. Thanks for the video! ❤
I like how you describe the feel of the classes, very important in a role playing game I think. If I play a certain class, I want to embody that class fantasy!
30% between the two havoc trees is ridiculous. The point of these trees was to give you fun class identity, having that extreme of a difference forces players back into playing one way.
Windwalker main here. It's nice that they got rid of the Chi-ji fishing in Dragonflight. For context. Yes technically Chi-ji is a random proc but in big aoe pulls you would fish for Chi-ji procs by spamming spinning crane kick inbetween tiger palms and black out kick at 4 stacks.

I haven't played wow since the Eternal Palace raid in BFA but I still can't help but watch these videos describing the gameplay mechanics of classes. They're just fun to listen to and figure out what the state of the game is currently in. Glad to see they made snap shotting bleeds the primary damage to my feral druid again. Part of the reason i left was they kicked it in the teeth in BFA compared to Legion. Almost makes me want to come back and recapture my old rank on the national charts among feral druids but I don't hate myself enough to make the tendonitis in my thumb worse trying to get back into the game.
I am happy that Windwalker is doing so well. I feel like people kind of sleep on monks when I think about it the monk class has been in every major MMORPG that I have played since I began playing them in 1999. Ever quest,FF 11, FFXIV, wow

@ShadowsOfThePast no, he's super toxic. I don't watch his live streams regularly but I've seen the clips of him ranting and talking a bunch of shit about other people in the community, it was the polar opposite of the character he plays here. I was just surprised how non genuine he is.

I have seen the clips taken from the live streams on the other channel though but ofc they're edited somewhat too. I personally have seen some of the rant stuff but I haven't felt the toxic part myself but like I said I haven't watched the streams live other than the podcast thing. I do like the scripted youtube videos though and so far I'm quite fine with the other stuff too but I work nightshifts in a male dominated place with some gritty and shitty humor and bad jokes and other stuff like that so I might have a higher than normal tolerance.

Its insane how much they did for classes in this expansion, i came back to the game and made a whole new acc just for it cuz i lost my old one and im leveling all my alts to 70 before buying tww, im so excited
haven't played since BFA but I just bought war within and am coming back. I had planned to main my DK which is what I used in Legion and BFA with windwalker being my second favorite. glad to hear they are all doing really well but I will main unholy as since DK release in wrath it has been my favorite thematically. I am sure I will play around with frost too as it is look great.
I’m torn between maining Enhancement again and maining Windwalker. The remaining of which would be my main alt. I’m still more than likely going with Enhancement, but it’s extremely close. Windwalker’s been my main alt since MoP in every expansion except for BFA.

Right now I am loving how the Fistweaver spec feels valid. Not sure about dungeons, still too shy to do dungeons (other than followers) but open world Fistweaving is awesome! Hopefully they do not nerf it...
I love Frost DK and that will probably always be my main as long as I can shoot out a cool ice dragon that does a shitload of damage and freezes enemies in place; but I'm not sure if my alt will be my Paly or something else. I'll have to look at the ranged classes to decide.

Man I came back to the game because war within looks that good when you guys talk about it. I feel lost on what to choose. I want to be a healer but also not lack on dps
how on earth did they think a coinflipping-fantasy was befitting for rogue? trickster fits in theme, deathstalker fits with the shadowtheme as well... how about sth. that defined rogues since vanilla? like.. poisons? how about an apothecary hero-tree? you enhance the flasks you throw as an ass-rogue, but also fits for the outlaw rogue. throw your vials, coat your arms in special poison as a dmg boost or whatnot.. there's so many things that you could do

Old school feel in a modern game just comes off as clunky and slow with way too much downtime oftentimes. Also, wtf blizz...some of these hero talent trees are insane with the awesomeness (riders of the apocalypse/mountain thane especially) while over half of them are just plain boring with almost no active abilities and no flash to them either. Why do you keep implementing new systems that you clearly don't have the time/ability to balance them all correctly because of the number of specs in the game.
I main Arms and tell you I went to do some dungeons with my old season3 gear no set bonuses with some ~500ilvl people and I was absolutely dominating, almost broke the dps meter 😂 can't wait to see my little angry dwarf with hero talents
I am 1000% sure that either arcane or fire mage (Blizzards favourite child) and one of the warlock specs will be the most powerful specs, maybe affliction, since they revamped it and we all know how revamped classes are. That leaves one spot left for a melee in M+, because Blizzard makes dungeons that will mainly punish melees and that specific melee spec will most likely be havoc, mainly because of the debuff and some utility, no matter if it is horrible to play. In raids we will be a lot more flexible, but since I don't raid and mainly play M+, I just pray to the Blizzard gods that Enhance gets to keep its newly acquired uncapped aoe DMG competitive.
The issue with DH is that it needs a fel of a rework, mechanically is very clunky, I think using the last patchs 4 piece sets as a starting point would help a lot. You could have a glaive build, or a demonic build for example instead of a keep doing the same but with more damage rework that we have seen before.
As enha player, I really hoped it would go back to BFA iteration. I`m aware its not the fan favorite, but I just loved spamming stormstrike. Not elemental with extra steps.
As a Paladin (all Specs) I can't really argue with Tali's statements about Ret. Paladin isn't all sunshine & rainbows: It has issues with clunkiness, going OOM when Supporting, and it's Talents are now a mangled mess. But Ret is still undeniably Fun and for the average WoW Player what Tali said is accurate enough.
They are keep nerfing stormbringer and buffing totemic enha. I am afraid that we will get to the point when totemic will be better than stormbringer. The enha shaman has way too many buttons to press and things to track already at elementalis build. When we will also have to track stactionary totem, I will die QQ
I doubt Totemic will end up being better unless something big changes. Maybe I’m being too hopeful. I’m also wondering if I’m the only Enhancement Shaman that *likes* having a lot of rotational buttons. We admittedly don’t need a ton more though within reason.
Haste is trash for Outlaw. They gave NO scaling, it's a tax to be what they were in Dragonflight; Lets not pretend that Outlaw wants haste, they're forced to take it now with no additional benefit from actually taking it besides ONE other talent that increases the normal hits while Slice and Dice is active by the % of haste. Just a hint, the value of the additional haste attack speed on melee hits is not at all good. They didn't get off better with their Hero talents, they gained nothing except more passive RNG in Fatebound, and clunky trash in Trickster. Your final comment on Rogue is spot on. They got the short end of the stick.
I mean I’m going to be playing frost dk in the new expansion. But there is no way unholy is the easier out of the two. Obliteration is so easy and all deathbringer does is just add one more 45 second cool down button.
I really have to give it to blizz when it comes to Unholy. Ever since the class reworks of Legion, Unholy has just gotten more and more thematic each expansion, and allowed to keep most of our new toys each time too (rip abomination as main ghoul of legion, you will be missed)
But if you liked legion/BfA enhance or just want something simpler, the Storm build (not the hero talent tree, its a spec tree build) basically reduces the spec down to 1 button spam.

FS is kind of a mess because of the order it consumes and generates stacks in. It can generate 0,1,2 and in worst cases even subtract 1

It should be noted that Fel Scarred received buffs this week. It is now the top choice for AoE while AR is best for single target.

They gave NO scaling, it's a tax to be what they were in Dragonflight; Lets not pretend that Outlaw wants haste, they're forced to take it now with no additional benefit from actually taking it besides ONE other talent that increases the normal hits while Slice and Dice is active by the % of haste. Just a hint, the value of the additional haste attack speed on melee hits is not at all good. They didn't get off better with their Hero talents, they gained nothing except more passive RNG in Fatebound, and clunky trash in Trickster. Your final comment on Rogue is spot on. They got the short end of the stick.

I mean I’m going to be playing frost dk in the new expansion. But there is no way unholy is the easier out of the two. Obliteration is so easy and all deathbringer does is just add one more 45 second cool down button.
I really have to give it to blizz when it comes to Unholy. Ever since the class reworks of Legion, Unholy has just gotten more and more thematic each expansion, and allowed to keep most of our new toys each time too (rip abomination as main ghoul of legion, you will be missed)

Yes and it remains a good thing
But if you liked legion/BfA enhance or just want something simpler, the Storm build (not the hero talent tree, its a spec tree build) basically reduces the spec down to 1 button spam.
