It's been a while since I uploaded a video. Those who are expecting a Synthesia video, sorry, I'm not uploading any more of those.
Those who like my showcase/compilation videos are in for a treat. This video showcases all the level 3, 5 & 7 techniques of all 45 characters in Chrono Cross, along with the various double and triple techs in the game. This is quite the lengthy video, so I went and listed timestamps for all the characters in the video description for your viewing pleasure. It's in alphabetical order to make it easier to find the characters you want to see.
I left the original audio in because Chrono Cross doesn't allow me to turn off the in-game BGM. Since I recorded almost all of the clips within the Bend of Time, there's a good variety of BGM from the excellent soundtrack composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
Sprigg Notes:
I decided to only show off Sprigg's Doppleganger tech's transformation, and not all of the monster techs. I may save those for a future video...who knows! If people are interested in those, I am, I might make a showcase for those too.

Once i used x-strike, with full equips and str acessories, under the sea, with full red field, serge and glenn turned red, streghen, and foes turned blue. and weakness. about 12000 HP damage. EPIC!

I didn't know that either. I haven't played this in a long time, but IIRC, they give you a very brief explanation about Doubles and Triples at the very beginning of the game, but that's it. No wonder you forget about it. Again, I might be wrong.
Agreed. Chrono Cross's OST is definitely on my top 5 favorite OSTs. Yasunori Mitsuda did a fantastic job on CC's and CT's soundtrack.
All time favorite RPG game for me. Chrono Cross is my life. I know everything there is to know about it and I've beaten the game over more than I can count. Still got the CD and everything. Wish it was remastered or something :(

I didn't really get it what's up with Scala, Kid, Harley. Kid should be Scala's clone, but thenagain, Kid is hinted as being Harley (in Termina the fortuneteller sais the same thing to them). But Harley is the 7th dragon, so can't be Scala/Kid. What?

@@vargas0897so at the end of CT, Scala cloned herself. That clone is kid and Lucca picks up kid (as a baby) at the end of CT. At some time Lucca creates an orphanage and kid is there along with other children. Lynx (who’s the physical embodiment of fate) attacks the orphanage and kills Lucca.
Harlequin is an aspect of the dragons who was created to spy on fate and keep a close distance to lynx so that she could steal the frozen flame.
After Serge kills fate (lynx), the hold on the dragons is released and they merge together along with harlequin to create the dragon god and dinopolis is emerged from the sea.
@@coldchillin8382 Man, thanks for taking the time to reply. This clears a lot of things regarding Skala, Kid and Harley. But one question still remains from my previous comment. How can it be then, that Kid and Harley are also the same person? (The fortuneteller in Termina treats them with the same response, says exactly the same thing to them)
This and Xenogears was awesome along with final fantasy 7 and 8 the younger gen really missed out on these top quality games that would refuse to be put down until you ended them!
DeAssassin345 everybody forget masterpieces like Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier 2.. they have nothing to envy from Final Fantasy VIII, really.
NGL I liked and enjoyed playing Xenogears when I was a kid except for the disc 2 part that was a huge disappointment.

This game seems to punish being good. Try to help Kid? You lose out on Glenn, who can wield two copies of a legendary sword and has probably the most useful double-tech in the game. Save Razzly's sister? You lose her level 7 tech. Do both? Now you've traded Glenn for a Razzly with no level 7 tech.
The one consolation is that the good ending is supposed to result in the timelines fusing and keeping the best parts of each (though we never get to see it and one wonders how it would work), so Razzly's dead alternate sister would presumably be replaced with her living sister.

Glenn was like a second best character after Serge. Actually, in this game, there are SO MUCH benefit for being a shithead toward Kid. First time you refused her? You got Leena which was one of the best Blue Magic Element user in the game. Not saving here? Your party was Doc, Glen and Macha which was FAAAAAAARRRRRR superior to her kids and Razzly.
To recuit all the characters, you need to play through the game a second time, due to the only way to recruit Harley is to have all the characters unlocked. When you get back to play as Serge go to a certain spot and you get the characters you unlocked on the previous play through. So much hassle.

@@SeventhheavenDK When you have Glenn, no need for Razzly. A team of Serge, Glenn and Fargo (for stealing) or Karsh (Third highest damage only after Serge and Glenn) would basically your best damage dealer of the game. In late game, magic was severely underpower compared to physical damage.
Huh. Didn't know you could see Masa and Mune when Serge has the Mastermune on and uses Flying Arrow thats cool.

I like how he chose to reorder his hitpoint digits when they were seven seven seven.
Squaresoft pos-ffvii really was a beast. How could a game have this amount of content and variety, most of what was never going to be seen by most players. And the fact that the dialogue also changed depending on your partner was really impressive too, making the game feel almost infinitely replayable, because there was always something new to see.
Favorite RPG of all times, thanks for the video, it brought up lots of good memories. :)
Also, has anyone else had a problem with certain elements and items disappearing when you go into your game plus? Not the story dependent items, I know those vanish. I'm talking about random elements like RedField, or things like that. I worked hard to get those elements, and when I cycled through to a second game +, some of my elements would vanish.

Oh, it's red because Glenn is in the party. If Serge and Glenn together, they get a Dual Tech called X-Strike which is a red tech.
Yeah, once with the Mastermune and once w/o the Mastermune.
Equipping the Mastermune changes the animation, and I wanted to show both animations (one with Serge and the other with Masa & Mune).

You can recruit him before going to the Viper mansion (therefore, you can ONLY recruit either Guile, Pierre, or Nikki in one playthrough).
He's in Terimina (in the blacksmith store) and you need to talk one of the kids that has the Hero medal. Afterwards you need to give Pierre the medal and he should join you.
When you fight Slash at the Bend of Time with either Sprigg or a "Forget-Me-Not" equipped, you gain Slash as a monster that Sprigg can Dopplegang into.

Man, this was such a good good game... Back then it was so hard, I'd get stuck several times on a single game, no youtube, no google no nothing made things much harder! Everything you discovered you'd do it on yourn own... Kinda rewarding on its own, knowing you figured stuff out by yourself.
Yeah, it is nice to have google to know the secrets.
But, there was something really Special of finding the secrets by yourself, not only rewarding, but also very surprising. It really hits so different now with the information at your disposal from the beginning.

Actually her skills complement her (Riddel). Her magic power is already awesome, normal elements are more than enough for her to wreck everything.
Yeaah. Because of the length, the video takes about 2-3 hours to render. It's disheartening to have it finally render just to have some error occur in the video. At least this video looks good enough...But there's a small error in the video, haha.
My favorite party: Serge, Leena and Viper.... Deng I dont even know theres double and triple tech! If i just have the thought of replacing viper with razzly... I'm sure i'll realized it... AARRGG *open ePSXe*
I had a problem mentioned below by Acen Hansen involving Pip's Lvl. 7 techs; I've played through this game at least a dozen different times, through multiple game pluses, and I've never been able to get him to learn a single Lvl. 7 tech. I've tried every transformation, and nothing. I've also been unable to get Razzly's Lvl. 7 tech, and I've tried every single permutation of the Hydra/Water Dragon Island scenarios. Nothing works.
