It was these techs that always made the battles feel so alive. They made you feel like you were controlling an actual team, rather than just 3 different units.
Lol don't look at 25:07 lol poyozo dance will put you and the enemies in a seizure of confusion 🤣. Did have to navigate what was worthwhile, drill kick and aura whirl/beam were the worst. No idea how slurp kiss heals for so much more (half hp) and status should the third be lucky to be hit incapacitated with a status condition lol

it's pretty neat illusion, it is just a sequence of 2 triangles per frame. But it`s synced as such that it looks like 2 pyramid polygons interacting and rotating.

Man, i'm just thinking about it, but if you remade Chrono Trigger, you could really make these dual and triple techs look good. They are already really cool, but like having unique cinematics for each of them would go so hard. I'm thinking like Dragon Ball Fighterz level 3's with the the cinematic cuts and angles. It could go so hard.
Marle’s Cure 2 should’ve healed everyone and Frog should’ve had a Water 3 final attack. Aside from those I love all the single techs!
Water 3 is technically a dual tech named "Ice Water" by Marle and Frog
Marle should have Blizzard as the ultimate ice attack and Frog should have Tsunami as the ultimate water attack. Kind unfair that only Lucca, Crono and Magus get their own ultimate elemental attacks but not Marle and Frog lol

i love ayla & crono’s dual techs. especially falcon hit. it just gets everything done
The majority of techs with Ayla or Magus seem to do more HP damage than others.
Justine Milliam Ayla can't use magic, but makes up for that by having the stongest physical attacks out of the entire party, while Magus has the strongest dark magic out of everyone else and pretty great defense, so that explains why. In fact, I actually used the two of them along with Chrono for the final boss battle of the game for that very reason. 😊

Along with the great story and the character designs by Toriyama-san, the techniques for this game made this my all-time favorite video game. I was a kid playing this on Super Nintendo back in the 90s and I hate that square has not duplicated the battle system in any other game. If any game needs an updated remake, it's this one.

dark eternal bypass the defense of lavos last form, if you use this tecnique on him, you can't call that a fight
these techs if Crono would get in smash
up B = cyclone, (can be charged into confuse)
neutral B = Lightning (can be charged to lightning 2 and Luminaire)
Side B = slash
down B = Spin cut (its more of a leap but w/e)
now that i think of it he'd be sort of a mix between sephiroth and cloud
Fun fact: spincut is actually a translation error and the ds version corrects it to cleave. Although i like the script it was made by 1 guy who was under major time constraint and it kinda shows in some parts

I know right, those are my dream team, although it makes sense that frog and magus wouldn't team up to do a attack it would still be so cool and powerful if they did

First note: Didn't know regular Antipode could hit more than one target.
Second note: RIP Grand Dream. HP-dependent techs kinda suck because you never want low health.
Final note: I wish Robo didn't share a dual-tech that was the exact same with both Marle and Glenn(Frog)

Shame about the audio, the SNES sound effects were way better, and quick hint, Grand Dream is way stronger if Frog is low on HP. Thanks for the video though, CT is truly one of the best game sever made, maybe even the best one.

Magus is so OP for triple techs
Holy shit, for a dual, antipode 3 is so strong. Damn. And what's the point of Lifeline? Didn't make sense for me. A triple tech which are suposed to revive characters
I think Lifeline is just that, it revives them if they die later on in the fight (not sure how useful it is)
Dino tail seems like the syrongest singke tech
Actually is because lower HP, stronger the attack. But you are not wrong

It is an area dependent tech. At least one enemy must be within range of Ayla in order to use it.

@@LaholyHeavenrise those two attacks do stuff that are clearly not even remotely possible. One she basically summons a tornado and the other she summons a dinosaur to wack the enemy with it's tail, no matter what era she is in nor where she is. How are those two not magic?
@Lavos I look deep into everything, especially when time travel is involved, and I am wondering where in the world she gets the dinosaur in say up in the sky in Antiquity in a mobile flying fortress.
