Impress your friends and train your core! (impressed friends not guaranteed) This is the 2023 update to the Elbow Lever short! While many progressions are given, feel free to experiment with what works for you! Some won't need all of these. Others will want more (shown on the website in the video). I see it kind of like giving someone weights at the gym. While they COULD work with increments like 25, 50, 75 lb/kg, it's nice to have smaller increments like 5, 10, 15 in case you need them! Rule of thumb - in calisthenics, I recommend spending more time on the "easier" progressions and building up a solid foundation. This helps improve our form and intentionality behind the moment. It gives you time to feel the position and explore as needed, so you really master the hold more. That's why some the holds are relatively long. That said, some people insist on shorter, intense holds. That's fine too! Here are the progressions: Goal Standards: Straight Arm Plank 3 Sets of 60 Seconds Bent Arm Plank 3 Sets of 60 Seconds Straight Arm Wall Plank 3 Sets of 50 Seconds Bent Arm Wall Plank 3 Sets of 50 Seconds Elbow Lever Grip 3 Sets of 30 Seconds Diagonal Elbow Lever 3 Sets of 30 Seconds Wall Elbow Lever 3 Sets of 20 Seconds Single Leg Elbow Lever 3 Sets of 15 Seconds (Both Sides) Bent Knee Elbow 3 Sets of 9 Seconds Straddle Elbow Lever 3 Sets of 9 Seconds Full Elbow Lever Have a beautiful day!
We have a free fitness routine! Shorts don't allow URLs anymore, but you can Google "Hybrid Fitness Routine" and it should pop up! There's also a support board where you can ask certified trainers for help with the routine for free. Hope you're all well!
Yeah he has a business which he doesn't even promote and what he sells he himself says that you don't need theese 😊 I love it he is honest and wholesome
So true. We were convinced our daughter was stunningly gorgeous at birth. Looked back at the pictures a few months later. She was purple, swollen and screaming her head off.
It's surprisingly easy after learning to tense my core and still breathe smoothly. I originally started doing this to save time editing! It was faster than filming a video AND voiceover, so I tried both at once.
@@HybridCalisthenics I... that's actually some really fun trivia but I'm still surprised. I associated voiceovers with soundproof closets. There is so much efficiency with this new knowledge!
I still don’t know how to breathe while tending my core. This is why when I do even easy things like straddle or L hold I can’t hold for very long because I can’t physically breathe 😂.
Been watching your shorts for years. You are always so kind and fun! You have an amazing spirit and I hope you know your face brightens a lot of peoples’ days.
I am very out of shape but you are a big inspiration for me. I strated a diet and started working out acoording to your videos a month ago. My goal is to be able to do anything that you show in these videos. I have a long way in front of me but I feel like I am ready to walk through it. Thank you very much for all your videos. And sorry for my bad English.
@@lundenmaxwell2530 The move in the video? I guess it depends, before I even had knowledge of this move, I just did it and thought it was something I invented lol, so for some people like me, it takes no time, while others might have to practise over a week to get it, or more.
What I love about Calisthenics (and Hampton) that it's so minimal and simple you can even do it with your flip flops on... however the fancy "thing" is also lovely 😊❤
You are so awesome and wholesome, you're making me more excited to keep exercising and pushing myself!! Also if you told me to have a beautiful day, I definitely would!
I enjoy your videos so much because you seem like someone who truly loves the beauty and art in kinesiology, and you just genuinely want to share that passion to help others. I hope you have a beautiful day as well. 😊
I am learning more from your short videos than all others, I have lower back injuries and nerve damage in my hand, but you are showing me ways to get fit without a gym. Thank you for show us how to heal ourselves
"wall cousin" is the best description of a pillar I've ever seen I have no intention of ever doing an elbow lever, but it's fun to watch someone else do it. And it makes me want to keep trying other strength exercises and moving throughout my day.
I Watch a lot of work out and callisthenics videos to help motivate me to achieve my goal and I’ve got to say this guy is the one who’s truly inspires me the most. Thank you for posting your videos
These are the exercises that keep me motivated to go back to the gym. They’re legit fun and a great way to challenge myself as a great reminder to keep getting better.
and a big thank you , sorry for being a bit silly , the work you do & share is astounding . Even an old girl like me who has missed the boat on doing this type of exercise, is inspired .
@HybridCalesthenics : I'm pretty sure that you're the evolution of Superman, and barely touching those grips, as you pause your flight, midair. You're an inspiration. As soon as I get a medical procedure, I'm going to start doing your workouts.
I want to mention your artistry. You were showing how to progress and I nearly believed that you are struggling with balance and can't get your legs from the ground.... Although I just so how you do it on one arm 😂 You surely have a lot of talents!
I actually saw the first version of this, a year back, I was able to progress until I can do it :>. Its super fun! now I can do and hold it for 11 seconds with straight form
I was working my way up to doing pushups with my legs off the ground but then got into a pretty bad accident leaving me in a coma and when i woke up my life was changed forever at which point i basically gave up. Your video's help me set goals and stay motivated. Thank you
Here I am trying to find easy strength exercises to help my mom and clicking like to the "useful" ones and I literally have to fight the urge to click like on every single one just coz I love your vibe!! 😂
Thank you for helping to change mine, and I suspect many others, mindset on fitness and ditching the all or nothing attitude that never helped us. Some days I can only do 5 minutes of exercise and you know what? That's better than nothing(:
I remember in high school. Our headmaster of fish knows...maybe in his late 50s. He showed this in assembly (kinda like a group pep talk of like well done ) he moved a long table to the front of the assembly and showed this move to the whole school. It was really surprising to see him do as everyone thought that he was "just the headmaster" meaning he's old but he then went on to say "you can accomplish anything in life"
My dumbass is probably going to start with the hardest variation, fall over like 3 times, throw a tantrum then vow to never try this again because for some reason i expect myself to be perfect at everything first try
What an utterly Wholesome Guy. 🙂👍 This is similar to how i learnt to do pushups. Went with knee pushups for a while, then added in 5 full ones. That 5 turned to 7 then 10. Taking things in baby steps is always a fun way to learn exercises. And much safer too. 😂
I gotta try this man, I need to build my core and flexibility more for fun reasons. Your vids have been entertaining and helpful so time to binge em again

LMAO I love that discretion about “impressed friends not guaranteed” 💀
Are the bars are available to purchase on your site?
The fact this guy is helping so many people on the Internet and for free as well is so flipping heartwarming! 😆
I know !!!
I mean he’s getting paid, a lot I assume with 2m+ subs, but yeh still good

What a bloody nice bloke! 😁
Wait till he finds out about the programs
“We’re all a bit ugly at first.”
Profound words.😪
Bob Ross but in reverse 😂😂😂😂
Except my “first” is forever and always 😂
I got ugly later

@@DefinitelyNotAFerret Don’t self-deprecate friend. It’s not healthy in the long term.
What I find most impressive is that you can speak while doing these moves.
The comment I was looking for... I would be BARELY breathing and existing while doing that

man is a real sleeper build , those shoulders and triceps popped hard when doing the elbow lever damn
My muscles prefer to nap before they're forced into action 😂.

Very impressive how you can fit so much genuinely useful information into a short, thank you for doing this for us. Have a beautiful day Hampton.

The best part is that you break it down into steps so that we don't just assume that we can't do it.
Sadly I used to be very flexible as a kid… after highschool going into college all I did was sit. Thank you for your channel^^
I started doing your exercises a week ago...I'm already feeling stronger! Thank you! You've inspired me by making a program that works for me. ❤
