Lovely new home. Back in 1979 I bought a brand new Excel 26' and my park rent was $60 with water, sewer and garbage, I paid the power and phone bill. I lived in it for 11 years. Married in 1983, after the husband passed and the kids grew up I bought a nice 1967 small house 2 bedrooms 1 bath and turned the 2nd bedroom into a cat room and built a catio attached to one of their windows. I own the place and my property tax is $42 a year, not kidding. Enjoy your new home and bless you.

Hey brother...I'm in North Carolina. I, myself, also bought an RV(new though. not that it matters) and park it on my parents property. Im greatful that I dont have to pay lot rent. Only paying the RV monthly payment and I moved in today...feels very different then living in a $2,000 apartment, but the amount of money I'll be saving to live here will be no comparison. I actually feel blessed to be able to have downsized because the rent is crazy right now. So many people out there have no options and end up paying the high rent prices, living pay check to paycheck and or get into major debt. youre doing good man.

We have been living in our 5th wheel for the last 18 years after downsizing from our 3 acre mini farm. I am able to do all the things I did on the three acres except for having chicken and goats. I have learned over the years that bigger is not necessarily better. Peace of mind by not being in debt is such a great feeling! Learning to be frugal and living on less is a wonderful blessing especially in today’s economy!! 😊

I'm not sure I understand, but apparently your are paying $1,100 a month for your space rent, and that is $1,000 less than a basic apartment wherever you are - sounds like a smart move. I'm a young senior, and here is some of my frequent observations of people/society in general: a lot of people do not know how to be thankful for the good in their life or how to appreciate the value of what we own - even if it is not a lot. Learning to be thankful automatically increases happiness - and happiness is the antidote for stress.

My dad told me when I work, to always take pride in my work no matter what I am doing, sweeping a floor or whatever. It has served me well. And my addition to it is, serve others for God's glory. I love my little camper. It's under $250.00 a month and $19.99 per propane tank. I have alot of solar lights so God runs my lights at night with lighting lol. I am so happy and peaceful. People buy a 3 bedroom 2 bath house for a family. Wife and 2 kids. Luckily the house will appreciate in value over 30 years of a mortgage. We also work full time to contribute to society. If everyone did as little work as possibe our society would not function.

I understand what you said about sometimes you feel like you want more things. I think it's human nature to feel that way and sometimes we can all struggle with that. We rented a house and they sold so we put everything In storage and moved into our trailer until we could find ANOTHER rental. We live in California. Monterey/ Salinas. The rent we were looking at was $2400 a month. After a few months turned into 4 years now😊 We decided. WHY not live in the trailer. We love it. We have everything we need. So we did a major downsize and it’s just a simpler way of Life❤ thank you for sharing your story😊

Wow This is great. I'm looking for a camper like this for my grandson to live in. He's 19 and really can't afford to get out on his own in an apartment and owning a home nowadays seems so out of reach. I feel like he can start out with this and save funds for a few years.

Congratulations on your new house. My husband and I bought a travel trailer 4 years ago, in 2020 . We rented a house and they sold so we put everything In storage and moved into our trailer until we could find ANOTHER rental. We live in California. Monterey/ Salinas. The rent we were looking at was $2400 a month. After a few months turned into 4 years now😊 We decided. WHY not live in the trailer. We love it. We have everything we need. So we did a major downsize and it’s just a simpler way of Life❤ thank you for sharing your story😊

It's good you are questioning the "capitalist/consumer" wheel! If more people did they would keep more of their hard earned money. STUFF for the most part doesn't bring joy- and most important uses resources and creates trash. LESS really is more. Learn it fast.

Be sure and get a surge protector for your camper. The electrical pedestal can be prone to surges. It save my electrical in my RV.
