Thank you for sharing your true experiences and thoughts about the Nucamp Tab 320s boondock camper. I really enjoyed your honesty! I will look forward to your next video. Until then, safe travels and best regards, Bob from Prescott AZ
Thanks Bob, it's fun to do. Maybe I will run into you camping one of these trips if I haven't already. Im up your way quite often, as you could probably tell in the videos haha. 👍
That's brilliant! Love it to bits. All you need with a decent tow capable even for us Brits with small engine size cars. I'm impressed how this was designed.
Yes, exactly. In fact, I think the original company and designer of the T@b was based in the UK. Your versions of the tabs have a slightly different style also, very very nice as well. After watching tons of rv reviews, I noticed the European caravans you have over there are really well designed and built with elegance, much more so than most of our US based rv manufacturers. Wish they sold some of your caravans over here.
We love our TAB! Looked at a lot of other trailers before purchasing this. Quality is unmatched. Watch our many adventures in our little gem of a camper!
Thanks so much…Good info…We’ve had our TAB320S for a year…Pull it with our Jeep Rubicon Hybrid…Still dialing it in the way we want it but real love ours…Happy Camping everyone..
OMG, thanks for sharing your experience via this video. So so helpful, in particular all the clever tricks and upgrades you installed give me confidence as a solo traveller. Knowing that there is someone who has solutions to address issues regarding functionality and enhanced enjoyment for the teardrip makes me want to ditch the tent 😉. Now I'll watch the one year update 😁.
No problem, thanks for watching. I'm glad to have helped. It's a big commitment going from the tent to the trailer camping, but if you camp enough, it's well worth it.
I have a 2024 320 as well and love it. You gave me a few upgrade tips since I full time. ..I used to have the 400 but it was just too big while the 320 (purchased 3 years ago and sold a few months later) .. and I bought the two side storage boxes as well. I have external Jackery 1000 power and two 100w solar panels for back up and so far I haven’t needed to use shore power. .. the smart plug is a great idea and I didn’t think to look at my stair bolts but will tomorrow. I’ve made a lot of upgrades as well and thank you - I just purchased a back up camera. LOL!!! 😂 be safe
That's very cool. The 100ah battery I put on the trailer is equivalent to your 1000 jackery capacity wise. But for longer than 4 days if the sun is limited, I have a bluettii power station I bring along that is 1200 watts/ 100amh. And of course a generator if it's going to be cloudy alot or I wand to run the Ac. I just purchased a victron charger that I will hook to the battery and bluettii/ generator that will charger my up even faster. I will do a review on that soon.
Love your video. I’ve been doing some research on these campers and i really love them because they are so well made. Thanks for sharing some of your issues w the Tab. Happy camping!
Good mod's and have a nice set up. I always tell my friend, dry run what ever you going to live in so you know what to expect in the field. No cheating! Live in your camper 4 days and understand that's it's your life line from home. At the end you learn how unnecessary thing's are' what you truly need and it make's for a pleasant experience because you know what to expect. Essentials; Over land tools. Doc from the last best tool has good recommendations, First Aid Kit that includes splint's, NOAA Radio, 8 mile Two-way radios. It would be nice if campers had a brake release so when your moving the camper if you where to trip it doesn't roll off an embankment, Just saying. I'm supper clumsy, I have a masters degree in the gravitational pull of the planet. I sometimes throw things on the because I know I'm going to drop them. Just Saying.
Yep. Yeah, I noticed many of the European caravans have a parking brake handle on their trailers, great idea. I did have my rubber wheel chalks behind it just in case, not a very steep area, but it does need a better front wheel of sorts to move around on the gravel.
❤ I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing all that I plan on buying a tab 2025 next year. Thanks so much for all the pointers you pointed out. I want to do mine just like yours.
What an awesome review! I'm 6mo into owning a Barefoot. I appreciate your tech finds and mods, as I'm still dialing in my experience as well. Your mods look clean and bomb-proof. Glad to know the Honda 2000i gennies work well for your AC needs. I'll be trying that out soon!
howdy from Prescott, AZ. We live at the base of Granite Mountain and are up at this campsite all the time. Thanks for this update on your Nucamp. Subscribed
That was amazing. Nucamp needs to hire you! I would be interested to learn how you do during the hot AZ summer months. I am in TX and would think I would have to camp at a site to plug in for Air conditioning. Thanks again it was such a great review.
Ha ha, thank you. Well, out here in AZ, we are lucky enough to have some pretty high mountain regions, so it tends to be about 20-25 degrees cooler up there. Even if it's 90° at warmest up there, the night time lows will still get down to the upper 60s. So very nice compared to our 115° down here in the desert.
@@DSWadventures Im stuck between the little guy micro and this........................Nu camps no questions replace or repair onsite (at the factory is awesome) while build quality is over 94% great!
@michaelsmith9308 they're both neat. If you haven't yet, check them both out in person. The only problem with the little guy is that they went out of business, I heard.
Thank you. I learned and enjoyed your thorough review. I believe you helped me jump the fence and I am ready for purchasing one. Again, thanks! By the way, you have a new subscriber!!! Frank
Great video. I have the same year 320s boondock and ironically have a Bigfoot theme also! I think Nu Camp does quality work and I am really happy with it. I downsized from a 33 ft. Travel trailer about a year ago and I am glad I did. It’s infinitely easier to tow and the gas mileage hit when towing is only a few mpg from not towing. It took a couple trips to get used to “tiny trailer” living but now that I have adjusted and dialed into the space I’m super happy. One huge benefit is I can park the camper in my garage into a single car space. That alone is saving me about $1200 a year in storage costs. I love the new 360 model just introduced also but have to pass because it’s a bit too tall to fit in my garage. I live in AZ and hope we run into you sometime while camping.
Very cool. If I were to go bigger, I'd just jump to the 400 myself. But for just me, this 320 is perfect, plus I still feel like I'm sorta tent camping still. It's just enough and very easy to manage all around. That would be cool to run in to you one day. 👍👍
I got stuck during probate for my parents estate for about six months camping in the driveway in my trailer. It’s a really good way to find out what works and what doesn’t work.
Perfect way. Kinda what i did as well. I pretty much camped in it for a few months in the yard, figuring out everything and what it may need between trips haha. 👍👍
I have a camper and I have the same issue with the toilet. My fan is directly above the toilet and if you flush it with the fan running we get the same issue, but if I turn the fan off then flush that helps, but also what helps is if you keep some water on the top of the flusher, so after you flush the toilet crack the valve a bit and let some water sit in the bowl. That will help with the smell in the camper.
Great video! I have the same T@b but a 2022. I store my Laguna table upside down underneath the passenger side storage compartment. I read somewhere that compartment was made to fit the table and it sure does :)
I will have to figure that out soon, I'm still getting used to this TH-cam thing.😂 For the most part, you can look up and find most anything I mention on Amazon, they got everything!!
Nice upgrades. Just a suggestion, you should replace the vent fan with a 10 speed Maxxair. On the lower settings you can hardly hear it, and uses very little battery power. The one you have is so noisy even on the lowest setting. Also has a rain sensor that closes it auto. I would change it ASAP. You will also need to upgrade your power/breaker panel to be lithium compatible otherwise you will get only about 80% charge since it was only meant to charge Gel, AGM, and Flooded.
The maxxair fan is definitely on this after this summer. When it comes to the wfco converter, they claim it may not be switching over to lithium if the wire size to the battery is too small also, but on my list to do swap out. But for now, the solar tops the lithium battery up to 100%. I also bought a victron ip65 charger to help it charge up faster to 100% as well. I see some say the maxxair has computer board voltage issues and that the board needs to be coated to prevent water from frying it. Have you experienced any of that yet?
@@DSWadventures Yes, but it is my understanding that was only with older models; I had two and they both had the voltage problem. I called support and gave them the serial numbers, and they sent me two updated boards free of charge. An easy swap.
I would love to be able to do this!!! Living in south Florida it’s too flat, no mountains, too hot, too many gators and bugs. I really like this little trailer especially bc it had a bathroom! Hoping one day once my youngest goes off to college i can get e class C, maybe sell or rent out my house and do travel work while nomad living exploring around the country! I love the west! I have the same little rug! “Life’s better at the campsite” 😊 I currently car/ tent camp with my suv
When you empty your cassette, put a little water and the RV enzyme toilet treatment of your choice and let it set. You should notice a difference. The nuts on the step is a great idea !
Been doing that actually. Seems to help clean it out a bit also after usuage. I think by adding 2 pods it helps to break the waste down faster for these short weekend trips, could be my imagination though ahhaa. The step nuts are a must!!
Thanks. Best type of review. A real world perspective from an owner. Teardrops are known to be more aerodynamic than a conventional design, but so far no one has talked numbers on pulling one. I was wondering how much this affects fuel economy on the highway?
Thanks for watching. I am not sure how much the shape affects efficiency overall, I would have to tow another trailer same weight and size in a different shape to know exactly. I will say that until about 50 mph, there isn't much of a difference in wind resistance. Also, when someone Flys past me depending on speed, it's not really noticeable at times. These little trailers ride and tow pretty well from what others have said also.
Have Really enjoyed your nüCamp vids! I've been wanting a Tab 400, but more recently have been considering a 320 as they are priced nearly 10k less AND are easier to find in the Second Hand Market! My main concerns are about the bed situation and the Bath. HOW do you sleep in there? It's "set up" so your head is at the Back of the trailer, but You've got those cupboards there!😮 If you do another Tab video, maybe you could demonstrate how the Bed, Dinette, Living Area work? I'd LOVE to see that! Thanks for sharing all your valuable information on your T@B! Take Care!
I will definitely have to make a video on that this weekend if I get some time. If you look at my new year's day tab camping video, you will kind of get an idea of one way to sleep. I usually fold the beds out in full and sleep east to west, all depends on how you sleep. And yes! You will bump your head on the cabinets haha. Just sleep head facing front of the trailer when split. Nucamp did just announce a goldilocks size called a tab 360, they just put up a couple videos on TH-cam 2 days ago. I would say find a dealer and walk through different models to see how you like them first. 👍
We have a Tab as well and a couple of things surprised me watching this. You are putting quite a bit of stress on those stabilizers by jacking it up while they are down. Also no chocks before unhitching not a great idea from a safety standpoint.
I see what you mean. Part of it is the weird way I had to cut the video and go back to show the process, the rear stabilizers weren't actually fully down when jacking the tongue up, I also had my set of choks behind the trailer when I made that turn around, and the site was generally flat so I wasn't to concerned. I do have to let the trailer sit on the front stabilizers just so I can slide the tongue wheel chock under it, not a whole lot of load on the front stabilizers, I can literally pick up the front of the trailer myself at that angle.
For the cassette odor in warmer temps you can buy clothes fabric clothes scent liquids and mix up a combination to your liking-NOTHING smells better :)
After many years of "Ruffin" it, it's sooo nice to have my own pot to crap in. Especially when you gotta go when it's raining in the middle of the night, gotta move quick before the tp roll gets soaked. 🤣🤣😂 Actually, the woods are nicer than some of these pit toilets out there, Lol.
The fantastic fans use to have a lid latch lock on it but the plastic knobs keep breaking. Mine broke 3rd trip out got a new one and that broke to. So now i just crank the lid down snug and my lid has never vibrated open. They probably removed it cause it kept breaking.
Ooooooh, OK. The weird rubber twist tie thing I'm using has been working pretty good so far. I tried cranking down in it, but it ends up vibrating loose again. Thinking of just swapping it out for a maxxair, they looks sleeker, and I've heard they are a lot more quiet. Have you ever used a maxxair?
I changed to a Maxxair fan. It is so much quieter. The cover on the top of the tab looks good. I love the remote and have no issues. Hope you figure out how to post links to your upgrades. Great info..
The max fans you can pull down on the knob that opens the lid and it locks them in the place. I don’t believe fantastic fans do that. I have a max fan installed where the factory AC unit was on my Offroad camper. I wish I would’ve got the reversing fan. I thought I was going to get it, but it’s not what they installed. I had a tab 320 S the outback model, which was the predecessor to the Boondock and I’d love the trailer. Everything about it was absolutely perfect except for towing it Offroad the thing with bounce around behind my vehicle and when you get out in the backcountry that or I do, that’s not a good thing. I really hope New comes out with proper independent off of suspension because it would be a game changer for their product line.
That's very cool. Yes! I fully agree, a true off road suspension would be absolutely amazing on these. When I bought it, I just chalked it up to being a travel trailer with added clearances and better approach and departure angles. I will just have to slow it down on the dirt, which is probably OK. Keeps the rock chips down.
I love these trailers. Thinking about getting the 360 so thank you for your video. But I have to say… I don’t want to buy a $20k trailer to only patch here and there. Like these things can start being an issue many years down the road but this soon??? Idk 😮
First travel trailer, so we will see how it goes in years to come. But, from what I have seen on many other makes and manufacturers, the nucamps seem to have less issues than many othere. And believe it or not, they actually hold some value over most. I would have never gotten one if I only went on a couple trips a year, being able to use it a lot is why I finally decided to go for it.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Archie, but the T@B 360 costs more than double the $20K you mentioned. My 2021 320-S Boondock was $26K. But they are well made by an Amish company in Sugar Creek OH and do hold their value.
Thanks. Only uneven in the way of the front seat cushions are softer than the back cushions. I've thought about getting a firmer foam for them but, it still beats a sleeping pad in a tent on the ground. 😂
Have you tried one of those track system awnings? I was considering a little guy max dc, but now I think I want the tab 400 boondock with bunks so my 8 year old can bring a friend.
When you added the Li battery did you install something to isolate the battery from the truck’s alternator? I know it won’t charge the battery but I also read that it can damage it.
The battery is actuallya sungold power 100ah. I'm not 100% on how nucamp has the wiring setup, but they are supposedly lithium "ready" on the 2023s, which by the way, the wfco auto detection converter has never converted to lithium mode, even draining the battery to dead and back to 100% 7 times already. 🙄 some say you can send it in for a software update, I didn't even hassle with it. My Tab has solar built-in, so it takes what it needs from there to charge. I haven't noticed any huge draw on the trucks alternator, I even have a volt meter on a guage in the truck. But I can watch what the battery is taking in from the app. The other day I drove home with the solar off and battery at 70% when I checked I only saw a 1.4 to i think a 5 amp max draw from the battery, super slow charge for a lithium that size, but it maintains the refrigerator running while on the road. I usually leave the solar on and charging, but I'm thinking the trucks power to the battery may run through the converter anyway, so it would limit what it takes in. Next run out I will check to see exactly what is going on there. If I remember I will put it in the next video or message you here.
Question. I wanna install a charge controller same place. But I wanna do a flush mount Anderson connector to plug in panels and run them out in the sun. What AWG wire is your extra charge controller setup with? CC to battery and CC to Anderson connector
I think I used 10awg wire for both, that might be as big as you can go on those victron mppt ports. I do have a 12awg extension chord running to the fold out panel. I only have 120 watt external fold out so far, 12awg seems fine for that. Anymore solar and you will want thicker cable of course.
The heat/ water heater is an Alde system. It runs on propane or 1k/2k mode electric. The Alde system uses hydronic heat with radiators placed around the trailer.
Lithium ions are the ones that catch fire, not lithium IRONs which you likely have. The LiFep04 is Iron phosphate - no worry. That chinese solar thing you had in your window is more likely to catch fire, its would be ion and not a quality one.
Gotcha. The battery does have all the protections too, just peace of mind for the paranoid😂 plus it kind of insulates the battery a bit in cold I guess also. Haha
Nice review! I have a 2024 320 CS-S and am in love! I also have a 22 TRD Sport Taco that I pull it with. I like the things you've done with yours. I haven't had much go wrong since December but have had a brake issue that I still haven't quite figures out. I have a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty and even after getting the first one warrantied will have the issue. The brakes seems to pulse (increase in force) as I come to a stop. I have dialed back the gain which helps but may still need to have someone look at it. I am really interested in getting the OTT tune as well. I'm curious if you had them program the ECT to keep the shifting to S4 (no overdrive)? Also were you still under warranty when you did it? I really want to get it but might wait? Thanks for the info!!
AWESOME! Thanks. The tune will make a world of difference as far as how the truck holds a gear longer in the correct torque range, i am no longer under warranty. Ect is still the same, just brings the rpm range up a little and holds it a little longer than without. What the tune really does is kind of lock the eco cycle mod, keeps the truck from instantly wand to up shift an bog down then rap back up here it should of been. Say you're on rolling hills on the highway, the truck would down shift rap out to get to the set speed then upshift too early, then do it again right after. Some call it "gear hunting", but, what the computer is trying to do is keep your truck in the "efficient" "economy" range. After the tune, say while driving the highway coming up to a hill, the truck steadily pulls through and over it only down shifting when actually needed and then upshifts when it knows it can hold that gear. The way they should in the first place. It also makes the throttle feel more responsive in a way. Waaaaay, better. Best 400 bucks I've spent on the truck so far. It's been tuned now for about 5 months and runs great. I tow with the ect on and the shifter in manualmatic s4, s4 just keeps it from going into 5th or 6th unless you want it to same as factory. Just find a guy who knows his toyoat tuning. If in Arizona check out Aztune pro. That's strange you mention the brake controller, I thought I was imaging it. I have the tow pro elite. It does the same thing here and there. I've adjusted the trailer brakes, that wasn't it haha. Oddly enough, I've noticed it at higher altitudes. Not sure if it's me adding more brake pressure because of the trucks vacuum booster changing at altitude, or because the tow pro tends to be on an angle more going down hill, but I also dial it back a click or two and it's fine. Unless it's something to do with our trailer brakes or connection, im not sure. I keep meaning to call red arc about that. If you find out let me know.
If you check out (my last state park) video you can kinda hear how the truck is reacting while towing at high elevation, although I am on 33"tires with a TRD intake and exhaust. Also, if your not lifted with big heavy tires yet, and you don't care about the look or off road abilities, keep the tire size to stock or one size larger, it will be geared better that way haha.
@@DSWadventures Thanks for the tune info. I may just bite the bullet and get it done. I do have a trip up to PA for a T@B camping get together next month so I am going to use ECT and the S4 OD lockout and see how that does, then get the tune. Or just get the tune before I go. I'm impatient. Lol. The issue I have with the brakes is interesting as it doesn't happen all of the time. If I am braking from say 50 MPH or so, it never happens. As I come to a stop the trailer brake pressure increase a lot and I get a yellow LED indication on the brake controller. But just for a second. And it will shudder like that several times. Otherwise, the LED indications are normal. Blue and then red when I apply the brakes. Then as I slow, the LED flashes yellow briefly and then returns to red. The manual doesn't show this LED configuration. The techs at Redarc had me check the voltage at the Tacos 7 pin connector and that was normal. I also checked the brake adjustment on the trailer brakes. As of now, I have the gain turned down and if that works I'll stick with the Recarc unit. Otherwise I might try the Tekonsha P3 but I'm not excited about going from a dial to a big box under my dash. After this trip to Pennsylvania next month I'll decide how to proceed if needed. It's an 8 hour trip each way and I'll have time to play around with the gain more.
Good setup. Sounds like the same brake issue. Also if those trailer brakes are new they still need to be bed in, you can do it over a long period of time, or a fast bed, you can look that up on how to do that. I'm not sure on your cs weight and truck weight compared to mine, but I've only needed to run my brakes at level 3 or lower now, about a little over or under than level 2 loaded/unload water weight. The light goes from blue to purple on the knob for mine, red zone is really high. You will always have to slightly adjust the gain depending on load or speed i think. It maybe my imagination, but I'm stopped I will push the brake down hard and roll the dial to zero, then over all the way to max then back to my normal setting of 2. I think it helps the controller know it's range, but I'm not 100% sure. Haha. I'd say tow with out the tune first. Then get the tune just so you can feel the difference. Just fine a reputable Toyota tuner doing the ott tune and he will explain all the things. Good luck, and let me know how it goes.
I believe it is Nucamps fault actually. The made the decision on what vendors to use in the build. Lower cost choices do not always work well. For the price of these they should make it right with you.
I'm not too worried about it, I could have taken it back to the dealer since it has a one year warranty. But a 6 hour drive there and back cost more than it's worth to fix a few tiny issues that I could simply do myself, plus I probably do better work. Unfortunately, when it comes to vendors on the rv parts side, they don't have very many options to choose from. Walking through soo many rvs from the 250k range down to 25k range, they all share most of the same junk no matter what, hahah. What i looked for when shopping for a good unit was the fit and finish, and build construction. The Nucamps were about it for the size and price range I was in, plus the Tabs actually tend to hold their value more than just about all the rvs out there other than maybe an Airstream. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the Tab so far.
I'm just hot spoting my phone to the roku when I have service. I've only stayed in 1 campground with wifi, I will have to see if it works. Or just wifi phone Hotspot to roku maybe?
@@DSWadventures yeah that’s always the tough part for me. Would love to work on the road and with some tv but it’s just too spotty to risk missing meetings.
I haven't totally needed it yet, but starlink just came out with a mini and a new cheaper plan for like 50 bucks if you don't need much data a month. Otherwise, it's like 150 a month. The new mini is pricey, but super compact and all you have to do is power it and link up. Very slick.
I don't have experience with the Ridgeline, but i know the power is definitely there. You would have to check your gvwr and how much weight you can safely add to the hitch. People use larger Subarus to tow these with. Also, ask on the T@b or Nucamp Facebook pages, lots of advice there.
Thanks, it's fun to do. This is my first travel trailer, so I've never had to use a black tank with a slinky hose yet. After getting the hang of the cassette, I think it actually makes things a lot more simple, just gotta get good with your aim at dump stations and practice a few important steps, Plus, you can open it up and really clean it good if you have to and paper choice isn't as crucial, I try to make sure it never gets close to full, makes it easier to handle. Also, I try not to travel with it above a quarter full just in case. I will usually dump the contents in a pit toilet, then find an rv dump after im done using it to rinse it out really well. I have a cap on the grey water that allows for a small garden hose to attach, then pour the grey water into the cassette, close it, slosh it around, and then dump about 3 times. Cleans out the cassette and empties the grey water at the same time. Boondocking since the cassette capacity is only 5 gallons is a different story. I will treat it like regular tent camping and cat hole. I will only use the cassette sparingly for night time bathroom uses to save space. Then find the nearest dump station or pit toilet on they way home. I have yet to try dumping in a regular flush toilet though ahha. I've watched people at the dump station, and I think either way it can be gross, but don't be afraid of the cassette.
Oh brother that's the way to go nu camp the little traylers real easy ill tell ya the only thing about them is the wetbaths that's the only thing I don't like about them
I've been loving this little trailer so far. The bathroom is a little cramped, but it sure beats the years of bird baths, wet wipes, and the pop-up shower and pit toilets. 😂👍

Love your video. I’ve been doing some research on these campers and i really love them because they are so well made. Thanks for sharing some of your issues w the Tab. Happy camping!
They are super neat little campers, and everything is going good still at 7 months in. Thanks for watching.
Good mod's and have a nice set up. I always tell my friend, dry run what ever you going to live in so you know what to expect in the field. No cheating!
Thanks. They are super fun. The 320s is just big enough, but they are coming out with a tab360 soon that is a little bigger.
Awesome, Thank you. The barefoots are really neat!
howdy from Prescott, AZ. We live at the base of Granite Mountain and are up at this campsite all the time. Thanks for this update on your Nucamp. Subscribed
Very Awesome. Thanks for watching.
San Tan Valley here ;)
That was amazing.
Thanks for your vids. Just bought a 320 CS boondock pick it up next week.
Awesome! You'll love it.
Frank
Thank you, and you're welcome. Just make sure you do a thorough walk through before you buy to make sure it's what you want.
Great video. Great setup. I pull my trailer into place like that too. Love having a small footprint
And it still feels like we are "camping" haha. Very cool.
I really appreciate your overview, brother! Some great perspective brought to the table in your videos!
Thank you.
Great TaB I'm seriously thinking about selling my Scamp and buying a TaB.
The Scamps are pretty neat, I was considering one before I got the Tab.
The 2 im considering!
Nice review and video. Keep up the good work. Love my Tab 320 S too!
They are so neat.
Awesome lil camper!
Includes a bathroom!!!
Love that!!!
They are really neat.
Hahaha weird how that works. I have been putting a little water in the bowl now, it works great now
Great video! I have the same T@b but a 2022. I store my Laguna table upside down underneath the passenger side storage compartment. I read somewhere that compartment was made to fit the table and it sure does :)
Thanks. Awesome. Oh wow! I didn't think would fit haha. I bet it does laying against the wheel well in there. Thanks for the tip! 👍
Great update. Could you provide links to the items you added to your camper. It would be very helpful. 🙏🏻😎👍
I will have to figure that out soon, I'm still getting used to this TH-cam thing.😂 For the most part, you can look up and find most anything I mention on Amazon, they got everything!!
Very comprehensive review!
Thanks.
Thanks for the info
I would love to be able to do this!!! Living in south Florida it’s too flat, no mountains, too hot, too many gators and bugs.
I really like this little trailer especially bc it had a bathroom!
Hoping one day once my youngest goes off to college i can get e class C, maybe sell or rent out my house and do travel work while nomad living exploring around the country! I love the west!
I have the same little rug! “Life’s better at the campsite” 😊
I currently car/ tent camp with my suv
Living in Southern AZ, I usually have to travel 5 hours to see some trees and cool off. Haha.
Thank you for this very well done, informative video.
Great video Sir! Very informative. Thank You for all the great tips you have discovered and shared with us. Great looking trailer.😀👍
Thank you.
Excellent review - thanks!!
No problem.
Thanks a million for this video!
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Great video for someone looking to buy.
Thanks.
Fantastic, one of the best, useful post I have seen and I’ve seen a lot. Credit where credit is due😊. Again, thanks, can’t wait to try some of these.
Thank you. No problem, it's fun to do.
Very useful review- thank you
Thank you.
That’s interesting we just got a 2016 sofitail tab our fan has a little in expensive latch lock that keeps the fan lid secured.
Wonder why they got rid of it. Wish they still did that.
Informative video. Thanks!
Thank you.
I like to use black tank drop in pods for my cassette toilet, works well for smell.
They work well too. I've found for a short 3 days trip that if I double up the pods, it helps out, especially breaking the paper down fast.
Good Solid Info.....!!!!
Thanks.
Man your a gadget guru
😂
A rubber washer under the vent fan knob might provide enough friction to prevent the vibration issue and would be an invisible fix
I actually ended up using rubber nighteze tie that worked. Then I changed the fan out a maxxfan haha.
For the cassette odor in warmer temps you can buy clothes fabric clothes scent liquids and mix up a combination to your liking-NOTHING smells better :)
Great idea.
LOL!!! 😂 even I manhandle my tab320 the same way. .. as long as the ground is level.
Cool.
I'm so glad you don't have to crap in the woods 😅
Think I will eventually install a maxxair also.
❤Great Video 😊
Thank you.
I relocated my lagun mount and put a smaller top on it so I don’t need to move it.
Good idea.
Definitely a one person camper. thanks.
For the most part, I'd say so.
I have this same TAB
Awesome!
Thanks for this! You haven’t had any issues with the cushions being uneven?
Thanks. Only uneven in the way of the front seat cushions are softer than the back cushions. I've thought about getting a firmer foam for them but, it still beats a sleeping pad in a tent on the ground. 😂
@@DSWadventures Yeah, that's what I found too. I have replaced the foam but it only slightly helped.
Have you tried one of those track system awnings? I was considering a little guy max dc, but now I think I want the tab 400 boondock with bunks so my 8 year old can bring a friend.
I have not yet. Been thinking about one, but haven't really had the need yet.
@@DSWadventures well, get the need and give me feedback. Lol
@@mommasonthemove9144 🤣
What would the size of your sink rubber facet mat be? I’m looking on Amazon.
I forgot what size i ordered for that. But I think some of those can be trimmed down, and they should be adjustable.
@@DSWadventures thank you sir.
@MyRanger12 no problem
Where did you get the rubber mat around you facet?
You can find all kinds of different ones on Amazon. Silicone faucet or sink mat.
@@DSWadventures thanks
It says “Boondock”on it. How do you heat the trailer with no electrical? The heater is a 120 volt heater, right?
The heat/ water heater is an Alde system. It runs on propane or 1k/2k mode electric. The Alde system uses hydronic heat with radiators placed around the trailer.
Where is your AC and how does that hook up?
If you look in my video list, there is a video about the elwell air 8. 👍
th-cam.com/video/0rkGm85L5wU/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Lithium ions are the ones that catch fire, not lithium IRONs which you likely have. The LiFep04 is Iron phosphate - no worry. That chinese solar thing you had in your window is more likely to catch fire, its would be ion and not a quality one.
Gotcha. The battery does have all the protections too, just peace of mind for the paranoid😂 plus it kind of insulates the battery a bit in cold I guess also. Haha
How tall are you ? And have you tried sleeping two in there?
I'm about 5,7, I haven't had another person stay inside yet, but I'm sure it would be just fine.
I'm looking into the Little Guy Max DC for me and my 7 year old. Can that front tongue box be compatible with the little guy I want?
Not sure if it's compatible with the little guy trailers, but check out seabiscuit designs to see if they make anything for it.
@@DSWadventures I will, thank you.
Does it fit in ur garage?
Unfortunately not through a normal size garage door. You need a 9 ft clearance.
I have a prolite 12v similar taller inside tho 5'11"
Cool
@@DSWadventures I have a Wescott lift 3"/1" so not huge and the tires are on TRD wheels so only slightly larger then stock.
You should be happy with that foever
Are you connecting your Roku to the campsite WiFi?
Very slick.
Are there links to your items?
I will add them in the description area.
Anyone have experience towing a 320 behind a Honda Ridgeline?
I don't have experience with the Ridgeline, but i know the power is definitely there. You would have to check your gvwr and how much weight you can safely add to the hitch. People use larger Subarus to tow these with. Also, ask on the T@b or Nucamp Facebook pages, lots of advice there.
Is there no ac
Yes, it has an air conditioner. Only on shore power of course.
You prefer the cassette toilet or would you rather have black tanks? Thanks for the video!
Does it have an option to just directly hook up to go into a septic tank or a hook up at a campground?.
Elon would be proud!
Everybody's different.
👍
I heard composting toilets are better than the cassette kind.
I don't have any experience with those yet, I'm curious.
