      @greatorder ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@onyekachukwumukwumereije799 Originally it meant (And, in fact, there's been recent court cases where defendants have used this definition) that you're aware of systemic injustices and want to work towards fixing them.
      Now, some people of course go overboard with the whole thing. This (Combined with some bigots wanting to clap back at people for daring to point out their bigotry) resulted in it being turned into a "dirty word". Now when someone's facing criticism, valid or not, from someone with the vaguest of liberal leanings they'll cry "Woke".
      Like the British home secretary of the time, Priti Patel, blamed the government's repeated fuckups on "Tofu-eating Wokerati", which is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. It's a mostly meaningless phrase nowadays, and you get people complaining about how the "woke" won't allow something or wouldn't allow something nowadays when it's either happening or not experiencing much pushback beyond the most insane people.
      General rule of thumb, if someone complains about "The woke crowd" or somesuch, they're talking bollocks.
