    Going through the same thing right now kinda. Started getting a shimmy on hard left hand turns. Got the code and limp mode. Ordered the steering update kit and had it installed. Drove around and still gets the shimmy occasionally but no codes. Looked at the plastic connecter that was returned from shop and has no apparent problems like wear. (Hope they didn’t reuse the old one). Just purchased a new steering sensor and have a new yaw sensor on hand. Next time it throws a code I’ll have these new parts installed. I have a 2021 and for first 7k miles only one limp mode and maybe 3 more after that time. Funny thing is every time I get the code and ride to the shop after 25 miles on hi way it clears before I get to shop. I hope the kit fixed the problem but now I’m not confident to take any long Ryker rides and take my Spyder instead. I hope yours is fixed for good.

      I've seen and talked to people who tour these rykers. They don't seem to have any issues. It's either a bad batch of sensors still going around, or it depends on who builds these bikes. It seems pretty hit or miss if your ryker is going to be good or not.

    • @SIRyker
      @SIRyker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackphoenixEntertainment hit or miss is the name of the game. I think everyone has one persistent thing . Fuel pump , cooling reservoir ect. I don’t like it but can live with it if they could just fix it and be done.

    Blackphoenix I got the same issue yesterday VSS limp home mode, check engine light flashing got home on a prayer and checked the codes C0063 and C006C. Checked C8Pate video about VSS fault code. Then today I checked to see what the codes were for, showed that involved steering , showed parts that needed so now when I take it to the shop I can tell them the codes I got. Great information on your video btw my Ryker is a 2020 900 got some miles on it . Ride Safe bro!

    • @BlackphoenixEntertainment

      yeah I'm not sure why more shops are not checking that steering sensor. It might be why so many are having long term problems with the VSS faults. Glad this could help you out, hope you get it fixed up :)

    That sucks! I really like my trike but the issues are getting to the point that I wonder if it worth the pain. Starting to consider getting a Harley Davidson Freewheeler, I decided on the trike because I prefer the 2 wheels in the front. Sad thing is I just bought a New Spyder F3 S in July and it been in the shop for over a month with VSS issues as well. Can Am should be enforced to fix this, but there is no guarantee this will ever occur. The sad thind is It may require some unfortunate event for it happen. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

      at some point I think they change the brand or type of sensors they used to save some money, and this is what happens. they need to go back to using quality parts.

    The YAW sensor seems to be the common issue with these bikes. My wife's Ryker cuts the power when taking curves, makes the bike feel like the rear is "wobbling", actually I believe it's cutting the power. Not sure why the hell they put this YAW sensor on these bikes. The Spyder doesn't have this problem, so either they don't have them, or it's a different one

    • @BlackphoenixEntertainment
      @BlackphoenixEntertainment  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Spyders do have one and I think it's different. BRP cheaped out on the ryker with alot of things to keep costs down.

      @NinjaZX6Rider ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackphoenixEntertainment I believe you are correct on that sir. But, they obviously used cheaper for the Ryker. At this point, I think the only way to get this addressed is through legal action. Dealers don't know how to fix the issue, because CanAm isn't saying anything.
