Thanks for putting out this vid.. I’ve been really wondering about it. I just started riding and have felt what ur describing before the steering damper.

Gonna get one, soon! Didn't like the feeling on the highway moving around in my lane. Not a great ride on bumpy roads and will be using it on max setting, too. Rather have it more stable than easier turning. And I need a reminder to start working out again. 🙂

On back road driving I set it on eight, but if I’m gonna be sitting on the interstate for several hours - which I do often - I crank it up to 10 to 12 and it rides on rails

What happens if I put the front suspension on setting 1 and the rear much higher. How likely is it for the Ryker to turn more like a motorcycle does?
Do you have any experience with a different reverse trike of which the main body can swivel so it drives more like a 2 wheeled motorcycle?
Or maybe a sidecar-like setup without the actual sidecar body (just the frame)?

I got the larger windshield. It is adjustable. I have it in the highest position and I look just over the top.

I upgraded to the larger 'touring' windshield from slingmods. I'm about 5'-8" and sitting on a Comfort Seat, and my line of sight over the new windshield was right at the horizon.
That meant I had to either look through it at everything on the road. or sit uncomfortably straight and crane my neck to see over it. Looking through the windshield wouldn't have been a problem on my original 'sport' windshield, because it was crystal clear. But the new one has kind of a pebbly, wavy surface that blurs my view.
So I modified the adjustable clamp to drop the windshield about 1 1/4" at its lowest setting, and that took care of the problem. My line of sight over the top is about twenty or thirty feet in front of me now, and I don't really care if the road's a little blurry closer than that.

I beg to differ, when it comes to sway bar ends. Changing them out on the 2019 Ryker 600 I recently bought upped my comfort zone on bumpy roads and curves between 5 and 10 mph. I'm currently awaiting a sway bar from Baja Ron, that I expect to improve the handling even more....

Adjust your foot peg to level 1 , it helps keep your body more stable on the bike since u can use your foot pressure to hold u steady

I'd say you're wrong about new sway bar end links not making any difference, judging by my personal experience. When I replaced mine, it increased the speeds I was comfortable with on my local rough roads by at least 5 mph. I don't think the problem was the material the OEM ones were made of, though. The swivels at each end were so stiff I had to place an end link in a vice and stick a long screwdriver through them, to move them. I could move the swivels on the new ones with the end of my little finger....
Later, changing out the sway bar added another 5 to 10 mph to my comfort zone. And I just received my steering stabilizer, so we'll see what that does....

You're 100% correct. Standard sway bar drop links flex with just hand pressure on them if removed.

Is the steering stabilizer a good idea on a Spyder f3?

That is the Can-Am Adventure Adjustable Windshield. It's one of the most expensive Ryker windshield,, but I like it.

How long did it take to install and what is the level of difficulty for the install?

    • @slowridertv
      @slowridertv  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

About an hour or two for the install. The. most difficult parts were getting everything lined up correctly, and figuring out how to get my fingers to reach upside down to install a couple of the bolts.

Put it at eight, and you'll really really like it. It offers a really good balance on steering and handling

The answer? End links! they stabilize the handling especially at higher speeds
