- Are you considering buying a Can-Am Spyder? Before you do, be sure to watch this video to see if there are any problems with the bike.
One of the great things about shopping for a new motorcycle is that you can test drive it before you buy. But be aware, there are sometimes problems with the bikes that are not immediately apparent. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Why arn't you wearing any protection on your hands, even at slow speeds you would damage your hands preventing a fall
I love how quiet that Burgman is
Sorry for your issues.
I bought a 23 limited new and absolutely love it more and more I ride it.
At first wasn't too sure about the touchiness of the steering, but within 4-6 rides I figured it out (the lighter the grip on the bars the better it steers).
Anyway I hope you find a good dealer that can solve these issues because it truly is a wonderful bike.
I know this sounds crazy, but check the battery connections. These need to be TIGHT. Also a weak battery will cause a bunch of errors.
Us too. It's absolutely wonderful!
Sorry to hear of your problems. I purchased a 2021 RTL and have had no problems so far. The dealer is the only problem I had. Change dealers about hour away but I learned why others don't do business with him. Talk about being forgotten after the purchase. Oh well, live and learn. Good luck with your problem hopefully you'll get your spyder back soon and be able to enjoy it as my wife and I do.
A bit of my history with the Spyder. My wife bought one new, 2015 RT Limited. Followed the usual procedure with everything I buy, ride it home and immediately change the oil. Ride another 500 miles and change the oil. 72000 plus miles later I have replaced the seat lift, replaced a fuse, tightened a coolant hose clamp, and changed one headlight bulb. It's always possible to come across a lemon, especially after the last couple of years of shutdowns and parts delays. Finding a good dealer for the Spyder is as important as finding a good dealer for a higher end import car, or a BMW motorcycle. It seems like a lot of dealers got into Spyder sales because of their relationship with the ATV and SXS markets. Unfortunately you never really know your dealer until it comes time for them to take a loss and retain a customer, or lose that customer.
You might want to test ride a Piaggio MP3, it'll give you the biggest smile you've ever had. You get the stability of three wheels that you can lock upright when at stops, but at speed the suspension lets you lean like a two wheeler but with the added pavement contact of three wheels. You also can add Givi cases for touring. 👍🇺🇸😎. 🇮🇹
With all the tension over world events, I worry about flight crews. Be safe.
Man you got some good patience. I would done came unglued on them. We have had 2 2015 we bought used with 3000 miles wife put 40 k on it only had 1 problems with a brake light switch. 2021 we got her a new one so far no problem. Theirs a another youtuber GreatRydes what you was describing he had that problem its was Drive pulley
wow 40K thats great... Sound like you all are enjoying the Spyder
Dude, I feel for you man!! I traded my Suzuki Boulevard in on a 2011 Can Am Spyder RT on July8,2022.. One week later, as I was driving it, a warning came on the screen to check the DPS.. the Dynamic Power Steering unit. then the computer screen went all haywire. I called the nearest Can Am dealer to me. they said they were about 2 weeks out on service. So I made an appointment to have it looked at 3 weeks later on August 5. Dropped it off that morning for them to work on it. It still sat there another 2 and a half weeks before they got to it!!! They determined it needed a new speedometer display. but they were on backorder and would not be available until October 18th... on that day they said it wouldn't be available until November 16th!! when that day rolled around they said now it will be sometime in March... thanks alot BP!!! I lost 4 months of riding because you can't keep parts on hand to fix the machines you sell... called BP and complained. they blamed it on lack of materials. Funny!!!! they don't seem to have a shortage of materials when it comes to building and selling NEW machines!!!
holly crap!!! wow! sorry to hear that
Even my motorcycle dealership told me not to buy a CanAm Spyder. The Suzuki Burgman 400 you're riding now is very reliable. It always starts and I use it as commuter and touring motorcycle. Stick with your Burgman 400, more reliable, same cruising speed, better gas mileage, etc. The Burgman 650 was also a great motorcycle, but it's been discontinued.
I have two, 2015 and 2020. Both are RT limited rt’s. We have had no problems with either. My wife has 28000 and mine has 20000 miles. They are fun to ride. Hope you find a good shop.
these trikes come to the dealer about 70% assembled, it's up to the dealer to assemble the trikes. that being said if the ''dealer'' does not have qualified techs assembling the trikes a multitude of things could be go wrong/be done wrong..... sucks your going through this
If it's not resolved soon, I would contact Can- Am customer service and see if that speeds things up for you.
I love my 2021 sea to sky , but there are somethings you should know before you buy. If you can't perform your own ,say oil, filter changes, Maintenance is very expensive. They charge $535.00 for oil, filter change. Also $250.00 to change rear tire, if you have your own tire. You can expect to get around 10,000 to 11,000 miles on rear tire. Good luck on yours.
Now my stomach is turning cartwheels, the order has been signed & mine is due for delivery around April 10, not only is she in country but at the dealership (which is not local / 3 hours on a good day but still my nearest ) awaiting after market goodies from slingmods. I hate to say this but the common denominator for all these issues sounds very much like the dealer. Three weeks & hasnt touched it, that is quite simply out-of-order & my patience would not have stretched as far as yours. (& after four children I'm a very patient man) Do let us know how this nightmare is resolved, my fingers are crossed for you.
I got it back its running great!!! The dealership cleaned house in the maint department...best of luck!!
I have a 2014 Rt-S 1330 under warranty the spent $10.000 getting it to run right I also have a 2017 F3 limited and a 2020 RT Limited with no real problems so far. With out a doubt the 2020 RT is the best Can Am out of the box for performance and comfort, Hand in there My friend they should get it sorted
Yeah so how did you come out with this?
i got it back its running good... Im happy with the trike!!
This is where the factory rep has to come in or you should contact Can Am in Canada direct. They really do not like dealerers who drag there feet.
Man, you love yourself. Safety is your priority. No gloves on a bike. That makes sense, not.
I"m thinking of buying a new Spyder been watching a lot of video's. It seem like the dealer makes a big difference between a good experience or bad. I live in lower Michigan who's the best. Thanks
your riding a bike while talking about a spyder what up with that?
Man, tough luck! Could be a sign. Hopefully all goes well!
Fingers crossed!
How’s the Spyder running since ownership?
Besides being OVERPRICED...theres a lack of dealerships...lack of mechanics...over priced parts...ridiculous repair time delays...if you get a lemon...God Bless you😊
overpriced? looked at the price of a goldwing or HD? Lack of training? That’s why I dropped HD. DONT GIVE A CRAP ATTITUDE.
Demand a loaner. This way they will find out what is wrong and fix it quicker.
That's what i hate about dealers and their ways of not being customer friendly, they sell you a vehicle that sat at the showroom and no one test driven it to make sure nothing is wrong then when you purchase the vehicle and drive it home the headaches begin and i mean HEADACHES. Just like the dealers that swears they gave the vehicle a thorough test, change the oils, filters, coolant and turns out false when you look at the oil filter and looks scratched and dirty. I personally want a document stating they did all what they said they did so if i get the run around i will take them to court and sue their ASS. You can't trust anyone out their.
Check engine lights are a nuisance at times . It’s a easy fix - however the dealership is not doing their work. Hang in there . Contact head office for all your problems now and switch dealerships.
I did... and that sure did get the ball rolling!
How can someone talk about a can am when riding a Susuki
Yes that is Mancuso team Mancuso Gulf Freeway never do today what you could put off till tomorrow
Please wear gloves while riding. ( this is your father speaking…)
Thank you sir!! yea I usually do , but when I'm messing with the camera... its a bit of a hassle.... but you are correct I should have them on
Always buy new
The Spyder thinks it’s a Harley. My Harley started having all these sensor failures after 8 years. After being on the road for 30 minutes, the failures would begin. The Check Engine light would come on. The bike would drop into Limp mode, 35 mph max. Needless to say, they couldn’t fix the problem. I sold it at a loss, I hope you have better luck.
wow man thats sounds horrible.
@@scootermike.thecharterpilot My recent theory could be the cleaning or lack of cleaning of the motorcycle. Most of these failures are due to sensor’s detection/ failures. It’s just a theory. Items used in the cleaning process could damage the sensors. Pressure washing the around the wheels, steering column, and breaks can push out the lubricants. Which could cause any of these items to seize up. I feel this could affect the engine and throttle sensors too. Some of these sensors are pressure sensitive. Others use optical or vibration sensors. Most dealers after performing maintenance on a motorcycle is to wash the motorcycle.
It's reasons like this that I never buy new vehicles.
Dealers will screw you over any chance they get.
Sounds like a crappy dealership
Yes Sir!
I’d make sure they have qualified Spyder mechanics. Too coincidental that both your bikes had issues.
Normally speaking the spider is a good rig !! It sounds like the dealer is putting those bikes together too quickly- it’s not rocket science though. Baffling. Keep us in the loop.
Sounds like you bought a lemon
Wow what a mess 😮
Find a better dealership
What are you riding when you're doing this video
