Thanks for this video .. my Ryker recently had this problem and the guys at the service center only changed the battery saying it was what caused it but they didn't test anything else .. as it happened when i got the Ryker home it still had the fault and wouldn't start ... but thanks to this vid and a few others i tried switching out fuses to start with ,.. and it started when i replaced the fuse for the electronic hub connections.. now why the service center couldn't do this i don't know .. but i rang them and told them how to fix the problem .. lol I have also bought a few sets of fuses just in case i need them :D oh yeah my Ryker is only 6 months old .. rly can-am u cant fix this problem even tho u have known about it for years ....
@@MartinTheVloggeri am from Australia ... lol it took 3 months for my bike to get here from Mexico lol .. and then i get this fault ... to be fair the service center is part of a large franchise which handles many makes of bike and has only had the can-am's for about 12 months now .. mine was the first can-am they sold :D so i give them some leeway but still they should have checked the fuses rather than saying ,, oh the battery is dead and needs a new one .. lol.. 105 AUD later .. and it turns out to be a 25cent fuse lol
Mine was down for over two weeks until they figured out it was the steering angle sensor. Can Am really needs to fix these issues. It's way to common of a problem on all rykers since day one. I switched over to a ryker from a spyder and started already regretting it. I had zero issues with my 2013 RS.
A I was just researching these batteries last week. the problem with lithium batteries as you know use them in my electric trike they do not put out the amps of a led acid two choices two choose amp or capacity led acid offers both but weight sucks . recent purchase of my new spyder led me to put a amp and large subwoofer. in order to over come the drain on the system when the base rattles the cars next to me added the same battery in the rear of the bike in the saddle bag were the amp is stashed and the extremally large capacitor. this also helps me with the on board CCTV cameras for the constant memory draw on the batteries . OH as well a small fan was installed for cooling. but when i do replace my led acid anchors those are the batteries to run in parallel to make up for amp hours.
Another very common vss fault comes from touching the brake with giving it throttle. You have to be sure your foot is not resting on or against the side of the brake pedal.

Martin, please research this. My battery powered tools use lithium batteries. You can not charge a lithium battery below 32 degrees Fahrenheit because it will damage the battery. So putting one in a bike means you must not use a battery tender if stored in cold temps. I would never use one in cold climate locations.
We have a fix in Quebec , mine is getting an new local pieces to solve this issue ( my local garage as design a new part) . We do not have this issue anymore . It happens on left turn a Hight speed this is when this code happen ... mine is a 2021 and I am doing this update Alain & Yellow
I've had the steering codes twice on my new 22 spec rally. My experience is that the limp mode expires after a while. 1st time was about 20 miles and scond time about 40 miles. Uk dealer not got back to me yet. Only done 800 miles in total.

I just got my Ryker’s back from dealer that I had VSS Fault issues 2 times, unfortunately dealer told me that they were not able to fix it, I had the same situation with your second ones, what should I do
What you mean dealer was not able to fix it??? If you have same issue as i do on second bYke it needs to be recalibrated. There is no other way around :(

Hi again Martin ... i keep having issues with my ryker .. the ECM fuse keeps blowing .. every 20-30km .. every other thing seems to be ok ... its just the fuse that controls the power to the electronic control module ... when it happens the bike just powers down and says check vss key .. its happened so often now that i actually went to a store and bought spare fuses to keep with me so i can fix the problem on the spot .. any idea what could be causing this fault? BRP doesnt seem to read their emails .. lol

Software upgrade is there when they plug tha machine on computer. There was also update for tolerance the is automatically included.also they should check the alighement if you have trouble

I originally I clicked on this video, because I was having a brake failure code. I triggered it, because I was trying to warm up my bike after an oil change by revving it with the back tire jacked up off the ground. Anyway, didn’t know I would get more useful information at the end. My Ryker does the exact same bullshit shaking and pulsing the brakes going around left turns. Right turns it’s smooth as hell. Although, mine is a 2021…… So WTF?!?
Its big mistery... trust me, it piss me off, its the bloody angle sensor and every ryker is bit different. All i can say is... try try try. Different tite presure, shocks, springs, swaybars etc...
@@MartinTheVlogger I’ve got Elka Stage 3s in front, and Stage 4 in the back. I’ve also got a full Baja Ron Sway Bar with the end links…. So, this shit is driving me insane!! 😅
@@MartinTheVlogger I was never really into the Spyders, I do like the F3s though. It’s sort of a hybrid of the Ryker and spyder. Maybe one day I’ll look into it. I’ve just done so much to my Ryker though, I just can’t see myself swapping it out.
Its always 50-50... some people do like it some dont.. we try to shorter the videos and we come with tuesday short videos... skmetimes you need to talk if ypu have "talkie" topic. Sometimes you shut up and do the instalation 🤷♂️😉
