Hey quick question, once the battery is fully charged does it matter the order in which you shut the machine off. Do I need to press stop, than unplug the charger? Also when removing my 4s 6700 battery it feels stiff and like I need to wiggle it out, is this normal?
There’s no ready sequence to stop the charger. Yes you can. Press, stop and unplug your battery. When you’re finished playing with your vehicle and you’re trying to remove your battery out of the vehicle, it might be swelled up a bit. Yes that is normal.
@@djsprc also one more question if you have the time, so after every use should I set the charge to “store”, and than right before using it charge it on the “balance” setting?
@@nicolaslamanna6041 if you know you’re gonna play with it in a couple of days you don’t need to, but if it comes out for a week or two, you’re not gonna use it yes, you better put it in storage mode
Thanks. I connect my battery and when its ready to charge I hold down the start button and then it beeps then it looks like its charging then shuts down and restarts. Any ideas?
What does it mean if it starts then stops and the 3A light blink? i read the charger error codes and it said that - The battery or cell voltage is too high or too low to charge safely. How do i get the battery or cell voltage where it needs to be to charge safely?
The only thing I can see that you have a bad cell or low cell. If it’s a Traxxas battery check with your local dealer they should be warranty for a year. Unfortunately with the charger you cannot and won’t be able to bring her back.
What it means you’re balancing leading may not be plugged in correctly or your voltage of your batteries not correct you could have a bad cell. Or possibility that you battery is ways to low in voltage
@@djsprc so the batteries were sitting all winter I forgot to “store” them on the charger so are the batteries no good now is there way to charge them ?
@@dj27nitro yes there is ways to bring it back unfortunately not with the charger you have. You would need a normal charger with a screen and charge it at NIMH mode. But it is risky to do it
Usually that means your battery is discharge too much the chargers going in protection mode it won’t be able to charge it if you have access to a local hobby shop you could ask them to bump it for you
My charger seems to not work I have a traxxas lipo and when I try to charge it, it makes a fan noise for a second and then it stops Then the 4A red light blinks continuously I tried lowering the amps but it still doesn't want to charge
That’s telling me that your battery might be overcharged or one of the cells might be too low in voltage. The charger is going in protection mode that’s why it won’t let you charge it.

Is it a traxxas iD battery if yes. The voltage might be low on it that means your charger will not take over or won’t be able to charge if it’s a non-ID battery you need to put it in manual mode if you did it did not work you could have a bad cell or just low voltage.
These EZ Peak Plus chargers are literally a piece of crap. Mine stopped working after just a single use of charging that very same battery on this video and following the instructions step by step. Now Traxxas wants $30 to fix it because it's passed the 30 days warranty. That is HORRIBLE customer support on a practically brand new item. I'll NEVER buy another Traxxas charger again, ever!

If higher amps charge it faster, why would you ever want to use lower than 4 amps? What would a 3000mah nimh charge at?
Charging slower amperage might create less damage the battery in a long term
How do I know what amp I should charge on and what benefits comes from the option of how quick or slow you want to charge the battery?
If it’s a traxxas battery with an ID connecter the charger will know what to do.

The higher the amperage will charge faster. Meaning at 4 Amp Will charge a lot faster than 1 amp

If the charges doesn’tstart by itself probably it means that your battery is dead this charger won’t start if the battery has no voltage

I have a 3000MAH NiMH the charge rate when plugged is 1 amp but the amps raise from 1 amp to 3amp as it charges ,is this normal

Great video dude. One question. Is the fan supposed to kick on as soon as you plug a LiPo in to charge and stays consistent?
King Nica The fan will turn on when the charger needs to cool down it’s normal that the fan will turn on and off once in a while

How long does it take
Depending on the milliamp of your battery it might take 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
So this charger will not accept old Timaya connectors
If you make yourself an adaptor it will except it.

Were you able to put in manual mode I’m assuming it’s not a Traxxas battery.
