Im surprised how easily people can play this game. Whenever I heard the alien drop down I hid and waited for 15 minutes no matter where he was hahahah.

I'm exactly the same, and I've had this game for ages! Apparently playing it more "carefree" like in the video is actually optimal as it tricks the AI into changing its search routines or something like that.

Wasn't until I went online that I saw how damn overly caughtious I was being for no reason
i think a good headphone to let you hear the exact directions helps alot.. its easier to use your ears instead or looking and the motion tracker.. alot of knowdledge comes just by listening good.. so a headphone is good idea :P
I love how you just calmly glide by the place as the alien hisses and rattles down the vents. I get terrified and hide the second I hear that sound.
I guess the trick to completion is knowing where you are going. I found myself backtracking. That is what causes the fear to grow. If we let the fear of the alien cloud our judgement, the Alien wins.

very true. Honestly I found these DLCs a bit unfair, because you actually have little to no chance to survive if you do not know which way to go. The base game was more fair with this.
@@Okkvltifymotion sensor still tells you where to go but yeah i get ur point a little practise and you will put the alien in the wind 👍🏻

I wish these didn't count down a timer.
Just give us these maps with the objectives to complete in our own time. Let people scout the entire map, get a good look around and see the great levels they made.
Currently the only way to do this is to play like this guy, who has obviously played these maps dozens of times each at least, because he knows exactly which way to go to finish everything in record time without really having to worry about the alien at all.
The alien is apparently really aggressive in this DLC. One time I just started this level and I heard it in the vents so I hid under the first bed you see when you open the door to start the level and it dropped down from the vent at the back of the hall. Instantly it was walking slowly, like creeping around looking for me, I think, which was odd because usually the alien DOESN'T do that when it never saw you before. But then it came closer to my bed and it went around the...metal thingy that had like clothes in it I think. I promise you, I was out of view but SoMeHoW as soon as its face hit the corner of my vision (which I should've still been out of sight from it) I heard it roar (the roar it makes when it sees you) and it came over to my bed and killed me! But it was too slow because I paused and hit "Restart Challenge" because I do that. >:D

This player is so nonchalant about this. I'd be hopping from hiding place to hiding place but he's like lol nope.
One thing only,on 1:40 when you got out the vent you missed the Flamethrower on your left side.Bye :D
You don't need it. If you are going for a high score, the idea is not to use it so there's no point in even having it. As far as I know, you don't get any points for collecting it either.

Even watching a replay of this game is nerve wracking. I finished it and was greatly satisfied with it. Didn’t know there was dlc as i never looked back after finishing it. A little extra story is never bad…but no amount of money will EVER make me go back to Saint Cristobal hospital….EVER. Dam Doctor Morley’s office to hell…..

Took me 5 years to work up the courage to beat the base game and I spent 85% of the game crouched lol

I can't believe a gas mask just jump scared me.
First level of Trauma DLC is extremely hard. Second depends on what components you find and how you hoard your flamethrower fuel. Third level is relatively easy as the working joes are easy to bypass.
I swear I saw you walk right past the flamethrower.
If you're playing for score, you can't really use the flamethrower - you lose two score multipliers by doing so; never detected (+3) and no flamer (+2)

Picked it up at 7:46, Crawl Space is a bit much without the flamer, but it's possible
Are these DLC worth buying? They look ok, don't normally do dlc but if this makes a sequel more likely I guess i might buy them.

I'm still learning THIS game. I achieved a 100% completion on Dead Space 1&2 using my formula of tuning out the fear factor. I'm on round 16 Impossible on Dead Space 1.

I can imagine Jack Baker trying to sneak through Medical, except the alien, despite it's many attempts, cannot kill him and it gets ripped to shreds.

There's one too many facehuggers in the next part,holy crap! How do you even deal with that many?
I'm still wondering why facehuggers are even in the survivor mode challenges I mean they weren't spreading throughout the station until after Ripley blew up the hive

I play this game the same..if you fear the Alien you will have a long experience with the game but as soon as you find out that the Alien is predictable and easy to scare away..you will fly through this game.

Man I'm trying this Trauma challenge.... I achieved the Platinum Trophy and this DLC is very hard

Trey B No, the objectives that count down are completely optional. All you need to do is escape.

I would stay crouched the whole time or at least have a Molotov cocktail or the flamethrower on standby. I would just literally be too terrified to have anything else equipped for the stand-off between Amanda (and myself) against the xenomorph
The Alien is like a black panther, fast and deadly.
There was a toy-tie in when I was a kid called the _Panther Alien_. I believe the story was that it had impregnated a Panther resulting in a Xeno based on the Runner-style of Alien 3. There was also a Gorilla Alien that did appear in the comics I believe, and most notable, in the 2012 Alien Infestation game for NDS.
I would abuse the motion tracker too; I need to know where every antagonist is at every single second while I am doing my objectives
Slowly I have overcome my fear of this game but I’ll be damned if it’s still pretty terrifying to me to play
The trick to playing this game well without fear.... is just remembering...its a fkn game. Thats how i beat it on nightmare.

The worst part, is dying to that Super Joe and having to start the video all over again to retrace the route from the beginning

If you guys play on Xbox. Be patient with buying the DLC. Xbox will have an occasional sale during the year. I just recently bought the season pass with all DLC for less then 15 bucks. I can't remember the price but well worth it. Especially if your a big fan of the game. Btw, @Dcruze, love the content!!
If the drone is tracking you and another one is tracking ransome, shouldn't the second alien have died in the explosion?
After buying this game ive basically stopped buying videogames……..simply because this is the only game anyone will ever need….
Just wondering, if you do all three maps back to back of one DLC, if you die in the second or third map, do you start back at the first map?

Not really, there might be some audio logs or archive logs, but that's about it
What about awesome new areas?
That's really disappointing would have been so much better with a little character development and story

A little concern: Why are all the powered down monitors that you can interract with so bright (gray)? I mean, when they're online, they sometimes GLOW BLACK. @2:05

Um... Where can you get this DLC? I only know about that two on the Nostromo.

Anyone know what the butterfly room is called and if it appears in the main game?
None of the areas in the DLC appear in the main game. I don't know if the butterfly room has a name, it just looks like an infirmary for children

Does anyone know the lore behind all the dlc’s?
There are vague descriptions on the store page, and perhaps some lore in-game (I haven't played them in a while) - but basically they're all prequels where you play as characters Amanda encountered in the base game before she arrived at the station. There are also two DLC that recreates events on the Nostromo from the Alien film

Is he playing on easy? At several occasions the Alien must have seen him, come on. At 4:25 for example
This is survivor mode, so you can't pick the difficulty - it's always set to Hard. I just got a lucky break, these levels are a total crap shoot, especially when going for the 'No Flamer' multiplier, which is a must for a score run
