- I set out to complete the world's first All Grass% Hollow Knight Speedrun. There is over 3000 grass objects in the game, many in hard to get places. Join me on my quest to trim Hallownest's lawn, no grass left behind.

Long ago, the 4 nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Moth nation attacked. Only a Pure vessel, master of all four element, could stop them. But when Hallownest needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed, and Zote and I discovered the new Vessel, a grass cutter named Skurry, and although their grass cutting skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. BUT I BELIEVE THAT SKURRY CAN SAVE HALLOWNEST.

Speaking from a narrative point, this run is amazing. The Knight ventures out, as they feel something calling to them from this desolate kingdom, only to find that it's just 3233 blades of grass that need cutting

In Grass%, you aren't playing the Knight. You're playing one of their siblings, who got tasked by the Pale King to mow the lawn. The lawn encompasses all of Hallownest.

Part of the run would be getting enough shrines done to get a full-stamina wheel, then collecting/duping stamina items, then cooking said items, and then it would truly begin

I feel like quantum grass was just team cherry testing if they could change something when picking wings, as it's also what transforms croassroad into infected crossroad.
So much work and modding put into this run. Amazing work XD

This is straight up my first playthrough of Hollow Knight, I tried to cut every piece of grass because I thought you’d find loot by doing that.

No lie, halfway through this video I went to take a nap and was dreaming about cutting grass when the grounds keeper outside suddenly drove by my apartment window in his deafening grass mower and I woke up feeling like I was having a grass cutting fever dream.

It's interesting going back to older Skurry videos like there since their tone is totally different. You can tell that over time they've learned to be more upbeat and energetic with their delivery of pretty much everything. It's a skill you don't really notice or appreciate much.

I think I may know why the grass on the way to monarch room is weird, because the last 2 pieces of grass are swapped out once you get monarch wings for a version that isnt blowing in the wind. So 2 are probably the windy ones, and the other 2 the regular
It is worth noting, grasses is a word, though it is primarily used in botany. A collection of a single species of grass is just more grass (it's a collective noun as well as a singular noun, because English is silly!), but a collection of different species of grasses are grasses, because it could include pampus grass and wheat grass and ryegrass and bluegrass (yes, it's not just a music subgenre). What makes it worse is that your lawn is grass but is also likely made up of several grasses!
Fish is the same way - a school of herring is a school of fish, but when that school is attacked by predators, there are many different fishes (as well as birds and non-fish swimming things like dolphins) that join the feeding frenzy. (And if you've not seen it, look up "bait ball" - it's truly an impressive display.)

In this timeline, the Pale King was too lazy to mow grass, so he had children do it for him. A.k.a. Child Labor. My favorite.
