Any little bit of boost will help out. Crazy thing is the W3690 is still going for about $50 bucks on Ebay. Crazy when current Generation CPU wipes the floor with it. 4Ghz is IMPRESSIVE! Thanks for showing us how to tweak these old systems!

Hi buddy, when I open up the TPL panel, the number of wattage under profile 1 (and every profile) be grayed out, what can I do about it?

The W3680 and W3690 are unlocked. The W3670 has a locked multiplier. The W3670 cannot be overclocked with ThrottleStop. These old CPUs do not support the AVX instructions so may not be able to run some recent games. They are fun to play with though and a good way to learn overclocking.

hello friend , nice to see some one made this video , ive been using throttle stop for past four years on w 3690 and stock dell mobo . only thing aftermarket is 750 W PSU , i have paired it with an RTX 3080 , ive achieved stable overclock at 30 multiplier without changing the TDP , even changing t0 31 multiplier on first three cores has been relatively stable .
my question is about changing the tdp , is it beneficial? ive been using 31 multiplier without changing TDP . .
P.S i have an AIO water cooler custom fabricated for the cpu but nothing on the mosfets or other capacitor thingys adjacent the cpu

It is great on budget. But for more newer and intensive titles such as last of us. I recommend getting a newer processor. a new series of xeons are also good on budget.
