Very impressive, when the mod came out it didn't work on my Lenovo Explorer for some unexplainable reason but with the updates for the games on the horizon and your teased upgrades and fixes of your mod I'm sure it's worth the wait.
Looking forward to this!! finishing up your resi 2 mod and about to move on to resi 3. Being a fan of Resident evil since the release of the first resi on the original Playstation, (which is hard to believe it was so long ago makes me feel old) this is a dream come true
I'm in the same boat I played re 4 on the quest 2...now I jumped over to the resident evil pc vr mods...I can't believe I've been playing RE games since tank controls and this is were the game is now..it's insane. I've gotta play every RE game in vr now
not sure if your gonna see this comment praydog, but i saw your work with re7 with being able to use the motion controllers and found it really astonishing and knowing of what your capable of... i wanted to ask if you can do the same with the horror game outlast like being able to move your hands and stuff like you did here, i know vorpx exists but it would be heck of a lot more scarier like actually using your hands to put the camera up and etc. i hope you see this! have a good day
hey i think there is an issue with re2 it seems that my old saves work fine but i was making a tech support video on it an NEW games have leon all see thru. i am downgrading and testing the directx11 with that other mod of yours and then after im going to take the save from that game reinstall the 12 version and see if im opaque again. its not just me others have the same issue and message me. let me know if anything changes and is there a better way we can talk

I can't play RE8 with OpenXR. The game launches but then all I see is a black screen and I can't get past the initial menu. OpenVR works fine even if performance takes quite a hit, compared to Re7VR, at least, which had great performance on a 1080Ti.
Also, it would be interesting to try this without VR controllers, such as controlling weapons with a DualSense or DualShock gyroscope, perhaps this will also be a pretty cool experience. VR hmd can be made using any modern smartphone, but many people have a problem with VR controllers.
@@praydog2 have you added motion controls for OpenXR yet? and if so, which build did you add them? Because I'd prefer to play without em my first time through
Dear praydog, could you please try to help me, whatever settings i use in openVR low or very high (with 2080 super), it will not run smoothly. I tried deleting the openVR_api.dll, and the game will start, i have sound and the controllers of my quest 2 will still work. But I can't see anything, any idea what I could do to fix this? I love your mod on re7 I played for 5 hours already with OpenVR, but i really would like a smooth experience Thanks in advance!

I wish I could get this mod to work, I want to play this in VR so bad.
This is interesting, apparently OpenXR works faster, but there are probably no drivers for it for more VR devices.

apparently it works if you completely disable hdr

this was recorded without the use of VR controllers, as I haven't added controller support to OpenXR yet.

Never mind. A discord sever helped me out (Modding from flatscreen to VR or something)
You using the wrong monitoring, you should use one with CPU and GPU frametimes.
you are commenting on a really old video, especially before I understood the OpenXR API, and especially before rendering improvements to this mod.
