Hey, nice video! Just wanted to share a couple of terminologies with you in case you are planning to do more of these in the future
More often than not, when a file replaces only the maps, these are referred as WAD files or simply just map packs. It's the first time I hear someone referring to these as mods, really.
As for files like Batman Doom or Sonic, these are referred to as Total Conversions, so basically whenever all the enemy's sprites (or behavior), weapons and maps are replaced.
And lastly, mods like Super Mario or Simpsons Doom are pretty much just re-skins rather than actual mods. The enemies behave the same and so the weapons, so basically yeah, it's just a re-skinned / re-textured pack for Doom IWADs. You probably noticed that all the enemies share the same attacks as their actual counterparts, unlike that Doom 2016 mod that changes how some enemies behave.

The Mod browser is virtually unusable, unless they fixed it. You can't search for specific mods, all you can do is order them by a few criteria and then page,page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page. Oh and if a mod looks interesting and you select it to see more details, it resets everything so to keep browsing you have to reset the order back to the way you want it and then page,page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page to get to where you were before, and then page,page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page, page to keep looking for more mods. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?

I feel like Batman Doom's soundtrack actually sounded pretty okay when using OPL Synth emulation - there are a lot of instrumentations in old timey MSDOS midis that just don't handle the jump very well to the more modern general midi soundfonts we have available today. I haven't checked it out in this new port yet though, so I don't know if OPL emulation is an option here.

4:25 There isn't actually a blue tint to the game, unless you're running something like GZDoom or any other ZDoom derivative, Doom has a limited color palette and the D4classic mod changes the palette to be closer to Doom 2016 since D4Classic can run in DOSBOX if you want

i thought there'd be some mention of the mod browser itself, how difficult it is to navigate, the lack of a search function, a filter that doesn't really narrow your search down, just change the order they're listed, the fact that when you back out of a mod entry page it doesn't keep your place and instead boots you back to the start of the list.
