Hi Steve. 2 things, 1. You love loads of castor in the dry or wet - why? 2. Aris says to keep WETS at about 30PSI, why do you like them higher?

      Hey Bryan,
Good question, I try to run 1 or 2 points less caster in my wet setups then my dry. I like a little more caster as it helps in stability and front end feeling. I like to keep the wet tires between 30.5 - 31.5. It's in there operating range, and also there are times in traffic where you have to slow down and wait to get around someone and could lose some pressure in your tires very easily and or run over curbs, so I try to make sure the tires have enough air. 🙂👍

I've seen some..uh..let's say "professional folks" not run any toe front or rear for wet. Is there some benefit you would gain by doing this? Seems to me that the rear toe makes the back end more stable as well.

The extra toe helps with turn in and also keeping heat in the tire. 🙂👍

Steve, just caught the video tonight, fantastic. The detailed discussion behind each component of the setup was extremely insightful. Even though this was a wet setup tutorial, which was great, I learned more about what the metrics on the setup components actually do. Thanks and of course love when the Porsche is the subject car. Basically, some feedback is I really enjoy the racing videos alot, as I learn alot about driving technique watching how you take the corners, entry and exits, and where you pick your passing points on each track. Also, since I am trying to develop my technical understanding a video that goes into great detail about what effect increasing preload on the diff does to the behavior of the car (as an example) is amazing. Maybe a video one day on a complete walkthru of each component of the setup might be worth doing... at any rate keep up the great work, greatly appreciated.

I tried it and ran near the same times. The only difference is run more rear sway bar then the Porsche.

Great content , what is the best option when you have a mixed weather race, dry, wet. Do you set it up more as a dry setup or wet setup, or a hybrid maybe?

      Hello,
That is a race by race decision. How long is the race, and does it have a pitstop. If it's a wet & dry race I would go with a hybrid setup. I would take my dry setup and add a little wing and lift the front a tiny bit and move my TC & ABS to a rain setting, and go from there. 🙂👍
