    What a mind blowing sound pallette! So impressed with what you've created over the years. Can't think of a better studio to compose in on this planet. Well done

    Tom! Great info. Thanks! But, could we please, pretty please with an Emmy on top, see a video or three on how you do sound design? Maybe a demonstration of you creating some sounds? Like the instruments made from the Harley, the bowed instruments redesigned, etc. Thanks again.

    Awesome episode! I love hearing all the instruments you made. Would love if you did a tutorial on how you make your custom instruments. For example making a guitar or bass instruments from top to bottom. Great stuff JXL! Thanks for sharing all of your wisdom

    Another great video Tom. Thank you very much for sharing it.
    May I ask you one thing, if it's possible, of course... All of your VI already sound so well positioned and with a great room acoustics and super balanced.
    With that, I suppose you already has some plugins on your mix buses. Would it be possible to show us a little bit of that?
    I think that would be great to see a little bit more about that since, I believe most of us, composers, always struggle to find a perfect balance between samples and also how to make them sound great together and in the same room.
    Thank you man and as always, BRAVO!!! :)

    Great episode. It would be great to see an episode where we see you going through the process of making one of these custom libraries. How you record, process and script it all in Kontakt.

    Hey, thank you very much for all your videos. Would you do a video explaining how you sampled the instruments and spread across keyboard? Do you use Kontakt and sample different velocities or what? Very curious because the guitar samples sound amazing.

    I know this season is probably all recorded but a tutorial on how you make your own Kontakt libraries would be amazing!

    @JunkieXL So many great and unusual samples. I think most of your fans would agree, it's time you developed your own sample libraries for us all.

    DUDE! You HAVE to make a tutorial on how you made those brass Kontakt instruments from guitar! Those were amazing!

    Thank you for sharing. Tons of sound design! I would love to see how you go about creating these unique sounds and then how you organize them into a library that you can use in your template. I appreciate it.

    Wow Tom, I really like your bowed brass! As a low brass player myself, I'd love to use a sample library like this to augment my brass! Would you be willing to do a video on how you processed the original samples to get them sounding like brass instruments? Thanks!

  • @marianmusic7221
    @marianmusic7221 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Junkie XL Do you edit the parameters of the inserts vst effects plugins with cc signals coming from midi hardware? Do you create a separate midi track for each effect? What is your approach? I hope you can do a short video on that. Thanks for all the interesting videos!

  • @Made0nEarth
    @Made0nEarth 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    all your samples are running in kontakt right? you sample everything to kontakt? or you use another sampler?

  • @jaketanner109
    @jaketanner109 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tom, do you script your own Kontakt libraries, or do you have someone who does that for you from the samples?

  • @killerlion8703
    @killerlion8703 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Really interesting, thanks for sharing. One question though: What is that little Midi snippet that appears at the beginning of most of your MIDI tracks? I assume it is used to get Cubase into a "MIDI reset" state... What kind of defaults do you initialize there for the tracks?

  • @GianlucaCalesso
    @GianlucaCalesso 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing Tom! Just a little techincal question: with so many synth connected via MIDI with you computer, which midi interface do you use? do you use only one or more of them serial connected?

    Hi Tom, wow your Sounds are unbelievable!
    Thanks to Vienna Ensemble such big Templates are possible...
    We also have a few Studios and also use Vienna Ensemble. Its great, but one thing is annoying:
    If you create and save an Ableton File in Studio A, the Connection-Information to the Vienna Ensemble Server for Studio A gets saved within the File.
    If you copy this Ableton File to Studio B and open it, it connects with the same Ensemble Server, with which it got saved (the Ensemble Server the Person in Studio A uses).
    Wouldn’t it be nicer, if in this case, the Vienna Ensemble Plugin would connect with the Ensemble Server which the Person in Studio B uses?
    Because the Studio A Server could already be unavailable when you open the File in Studio B (because the Person in Studio A already uses it)….
    Then there is no connection and you must connect manually to your Ensemble Server.
    This should be possible if you could save in the Vienna Ensemble Plugin (of your Host) your Ensemble Server for your Studio.
    All our Ensemble Server PC’s have exactly the same „Sounds“ in it, so that it doesn’t matter, which Server you choose to connect.
    The Kontakt Player handles it like it should be: You can specify in the Preferences, where your library path for this PC is.
    If you copy from Studio A to B the Kontakt Player automatically chooses the "local" Path to the Library to load the Samples.
    What do you think? How do you handle this when you have to swap Cubase Files between your Studios??
    Would be nice to hear from you!
    Greetings from Austria!

    Ok....i DEFINITELY need some help here. I am LOST. Does anyone have the proper FULL ORDER 1, 2,, etc Template setup From beginning to end?
    I get lost with the titles, and descriptions of each video. Tom mentions things in the intros.... But the titles don't reflect his descriptions he verbally tells you to check out.
    I think I get 1, 2, 3, then all of a sudden it's video #5?
    So template setup videos.... Does anyone have a proper FULL list IN ORDER? LOL

    Mr Tom I just saw the movie Mortal Engines and I got to say it was ok not good but not bad ether. It was enjoyable but the dialogues were very cliche and story was too simple and btw I am a big fan of Mr Peter Jackson I still think that LOTR trilogy is the best. But I have to say your score was the best thing in the movie and thank you for that. Every second from it was very good and thank you again for that. Big fan

      PS: Your sound are good, just wondering if Conrad has special-sized paper to cover all these tracks if he orchestrate some cues...but good job
