O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD Thanks man!! I love it when our flight attendants make little informative announcements and even when they joke around!
***** superb video! Actually, a "seasoned" MDW pilot will slam it into the runway. That alone knocks off a good 15 to 20 Kts off your speed. Not much room to float it and grease it there! LOL!
That was an awesome video! Kudos! I am fortunate that I have been accepted recently to be part of the swa family and seeing this makes me so excited to start working there!
I like when planes are set to land on the northeast corner of airport they come in from the lakefront which is very epic! I like how they changed tge way they apprpoach runway 4R NE They used to come in from southeast side of city first make a big right turn to set up the approach and then a huge left turn to land at the airport
That approach is most DEFINITELY still done! Ask the people (me) that live under that approach (noise) and that use it...(Recreational pilot 🤚). And, I can't understand how you can make it seem as if 22L is used all the time. Active runways change as weather dictates (4R, 13C, 31C are also used) and, so, the approaches change.
That’s Guaranteed Rate where the White Sox play. You can see it is south of downtown, hence the term “south siders.” white Sox. Wrigley is north of downtown hence “the north siders” Cubs.
My friends from Leroy Indiana lost their 6 yr old son when a 737 jet like this crashed through at the end of the runway and smashed onto the car killing little Joshua Woods who was pinned back in the seat ..... flight 1248 Dec 8 2005.....I was working in Chicago at this time right next to Soldier Field....and had found out the family lived next to my plumber friend...RIP little man
I grew up near Harlem and 79th, just a few miles southwest of Midway. Planes used to fly right overhead on final approach, heading southwest to northeast. Can anyone tell me which runway(s) those planes were using?
Surprisingly smooth landing given how tight those runways are
Landing at Midway is like trying to land a rocket on a postage stamp. It's a fun airport to land at!
Very...very nice smooth landing! Good job Captain!
Wonderful filming, man! Loved the joke about the Cubs. I'm not much of a Cubs fan and I too love to make fun of them from time to time.

Great view of Chicago, and a good inflight video. Seemed like a very smooth landing.
Thanks for watching, like usual ;-) But, yeah I was expecting a much harder landing when going into MDW. I guess we had a seasoned MDW pilot :-D

I don't think they needed to slam this bird down, it had less than 20 people onboard so it was very light. Thanks!
1:55 - Comiskey Park.
It"s Guaranteed Rate Field
@@isyt1953 It's Comiskey Park. And that will NEVER change for the fans! As in, Sears Tower (NOT the Willis Building). 😂
Pretty good landing for Midway standards
That was an awesome video! Kudos! I am fortunate that I have been accepted recently to be part of the swa family and seeing this makes me so excited to start working there!
+Robert Meagher Welcome to the SWA family, enjoy the flight of your life! :-D You'll have a great time!
+Benjamin Gebo thanks!!
i am so excited to fly the 737 and even more excited to fly it into mdw! hope to see you on the line!
That's great to hear!
+Benjamin Gebo yes sir!
school house in April; DREAM COME TRUE!
+John Collins haha, don't we all ;)
Stunning video man!! Amazing view of the Chicago skyline:) Great work, Liked!!
osxBoeing - HD Aviation & PlaneSpotting It sure was! That's why I love flying into MDW.

MDW I think has some of the best approaches in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Be landing there on July 4, from Jacksonville, FL with stop in Nashville. Layover 2 hours and then continue on SWA to Albuquerque, NM
Wow it looked like you could just toutch that road by the airport!!
Yeah, that's what is seems like! That's one of the best things about flying into MDW!
Smooth landing!!!
we dont do this approach anymore. Now it's an R NAV approach to 22L over the lake and fly right over downtown,
I'd like to see that.
That approach is most DEFINITELY still done! Ask the people (me) that live under that approach (noise) and that use it...(Recreational pilot 🤚). Awesome video bro and a great landing! By the way, was that Wrigley Field at 2:09, or was it Guaranteed Rate Field?
That’s Guaranteed Rate where the White Sox play. You can see it is south of downtown, hence the term “south siders.” white Sox. Wrigley is north of downtown hence “the north siders” Cubs.
Midway it always looks like you're going to land in the middle of the neighborhood.
That's because Midway IS in the middle of a neighborhood.
Nice! Is that a Southwest 'hub lol ! Nice touchdown!
Thanks! No, no, it not a hub, its a "focus city" in Southwest terms ;-) They don't call them hubs for some reason. And it was a beautiful touchdown!
The touchdown was so smooth it looked like u never touched the ground

I remember that day very well. So sorry. RIP..
i flew out that day to alabama and this happened shortly after i departed i remember it was snowing very hard!

Looks to me like they'd be using either 04L or 04R, I couldn't say for sure.
Very short runways at KMDW
sox are doing good but all I gotta say is 23-6!!! lol Go Cubs!
Nice
Super video :)
Smooth
it is a B737-700
Now the Cubs are the 2016 World Series champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Cubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible is what I think when you describe such a boring and routine landing as incredible.
