I love how you can see the panel prep flash as you wipe it! Awesome 👏 job! You can almost feel how slick it is as you wipe it! It translates in the video 👍
The wait time to wipe/clean is crazy on this video - I always thought it needed to be wiped 1 minute after applying. Glad to see I can do full panel sections at a time.
i did my 2004 z06 with two coats of exo v3 back in november 2017. pretty much, wowo,no cross hatch metrod either. it still beads nicely! i polished it using my cyclo with the wolfgang twins/orange and white pads. about to do it again as it is for sale. the finish still looks quite nice,so it'll likely get 205 then csl/exov4.
Great job Matt !! That slick feel when wiping off the coating makes all the prep work worthwhile. Hopefully others will follow and enjoy that experience. I could almost feel it as you were describing it. It's kinda like muscle memory in a way. Well done!
Thanks for the great Tutorial. I am coating my BMW Z4 this weekend with the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light , EXO V4 and supplies ordered from Obsessed Garage Store .
Have you tried applying a coating using the microfiber saver applicators from AutoFiber instead of the block and suede? Life changing, you'll never want to go back
J Mucitelli Matt has a god channel, but missed an opportunity to gain a lot of new and loyal subs by mocking the corvette. Wonder if he was the kid who made fun of other kids who didn’t wear the newest and most popular runners and clothes? Corvette has done an unreliable job with the C7 and bang for the buck is second to none
I tried shining some OG light on a new detailer about coatings and how not to drink the Koolaid on the "pro only" coatings. I suggested he offer a coating WITHOUT paint correction for those who have a "beater car" or who don't care as much about the swirls but would like a little more protection than wax just to make washing easier. He claimed that ceramic coatings are glass and need a perfect surface to bond or else it would fail and couldn't be warrantied for the 3-5 years. I just shook my head and realized he already drank the Koolaid and was a lost cause. lol
Quick question connected to the CarPro Eraser: if I have a car waxed with Meguiar's Gold Wax and I want to remove it to apply a ceramic coat, can I use Eraser to remove the wax ? Thank you
@@ObsessedGarage Thank you. Just saw on Facebook the Crystal Serum ultra was being used on the new GT3. I don't see that listed on the site. I've gotten so much from OG that I want to support by only shopping there. Reason I ask is I just bought a new Highlander and want to put the best possible most durable coating since it will be a daily driver. Should I go ahead and order Light or wait on Ultra. Would like to place a big order today if possible. Thank you all again for all you do!
I just got my serum light today, and I gotta say this video gave me more confidence to use it, I’m still kinda shitting bricks worried about messing it up but alittle more confident now😂
I know this is a bit off topic, but when you were working with the Kamikaze products... did they not seem to last long before the applicator dried up? I found myself reloading quite a bit
I love that you say that coating is idiot proof but I had a guy that put this on my car and there are streaks everywhere and my paint is like sandpaper.
High pile side of towel first then low side? Is this crucial? Slowly talking myself into coating my cars and I want to do everything exactly to OG spec.
Lovely Work! Beautiful Vette! 👍 Iv been waiting to put this on forever! Will be the next thing i get for my 2017 GTI Clubsport MK7, 40 Year Anniversary GTI. (only found in Europe, im from Sweden btw) Car seen on my channel so check it out if you like! 🙂

I'm very impressed with what you've done with this car - in terms of upgrades and detailing. It looks fantastic.
Love the color combo and the attention to detail. Very tastefully done. Now get the exhaust sorted and it will be good to go.

Looks amazing, this will be the coating I'll use for sure, very easy to handle, specially on the trim, love how it looks. Great video Matt
Love this Vette. Brian with Apex did a blue ZO6 not sure which of these two I love more.
I love CSL and EXOv4. I'll be coating a 991.1 Targa 4 in April with this combo
I finally get trust the source.
You see things the manufacturer’s won’t tell us.

coating are expensive, microfiber applicator it will waste more coating.........thats why pro use microsuede and block
@@carbonoxxI coat cars on a professional level for a living. Nobody uses blocks. Thanks for the info though
Matt your skill set has improved with every car you have detailed . Great job! I recently saw corvette aventador lights do you plan to install?
We need videos you driving the vette!!!

Have you used C2v3 as a 'topper' and does it have a similar slickness if so? Thanks for sharing this series.

says to not use panel wipe on ppf on the bottle--I've caly barred the ppf, intending to put on Crystal Serum Light and Exo on my car. thanks

Matt, why do you not coat the headlights? Is it just to not risk the UV coating from factory? Maybe only coat headlights you had to correct anyway?
Is this still the recommended brand and technique? The 2 coatings together or has something better come along in the last 4 years?
CSL is still the same. 1 coat. Now we have Exo v5 that only requires one coat.

@@ObsessedGarage Scratch that last question. Just saw that ultra is pro only, not direct to consumer. 👍

The Crystal Serum Light is extremely easy to apply. Don't sweat it, and you'll be fine.
@@ObsessedGarage I’ve a client in 2 weeks to get it done so gonna practice on a car to make sure u can apply it good
Hey Matt I don’t have access to a garage but I do have access to a carport could I apply CSL and EXO there? Or would you recommend against that?
Yep, you should be fine.
Every time i watch one of these i want to buy another car to go through the process again.
I want to see Ken in the GT3!
so i got bubble streaks under the coating even after 3 towel wipe and "buff". why?
I know this is a bit off topic, but when you were working with the Kamikaze products... did they not seem to last long before the applicator dried up? I found myself reloading quite a bit
My car has PPF on the front end and side skirts, can Crystal Serum Light be used on both the paint and PPF?
John Scicutella , absolutely!
John Scicutella yeah, but they have a new coating called Halo that’s designed specifically to go over PPF and wraps
Awesome video! I have a question, though. Is it possible to use CSL on glass?
You can, but I wouldn't. I haven't done it, but you may loose a little clarity.
Have you bought aftermarket front fender extensions yet ?
I love that you say that coating is idiot proof but I had a guy that put this on my car and there are streaks everywhere and my paint is like sandpaper.
Devo bro bet he coated the whole car before he worked it in 😖

Do you believe a 30ml would do a full sized truck?
Yes, it will.
Epic
This dude's boring and interesting both all at the same time. Damn.
nice car

Weird that a product that's called 'light' is a flagship coating. Sure about that?
FIRST!! Oh YEAH!
First, let’s do this!
Great video but this car looks like something from 1983.
Can It go on headlights or taillights
Yes, it can.
